The skill level of kids this age here is unbelievable. I play bball and live in Australia in a country town and kids can barely dribble a ball here at that age. These kids have their heads up running plays, making shots. It's amazing
These youth leagues are where future players are coming from. Often these teams are put together from kids within an area or region and they'll travel together for tournaments. In a few years their growth spurts will decide who rises to the top and eventually on to college or the draft.
Can you imagine the skill level if these kids keep working and are 20. Man, the confidence with ball. The footwork coupled with athleticism. Granted I’m watching highlights but still there is a ton of potential. Hope that guard on orange keeps growing.
I love these lil Hoopers, So much talent ou can really see the change in generations, they are so fast and developed at a much younger age. Its beautiful. Support the kids in anything they do.. Try not to be a toxic adult with these ones.. I know
It's an edited video dude... You're seeing the makes and the interesting plays. They miss plenty, I'm sure. These kids are really good for their age though, yes.
great camera work, these kids are 4th graders? amazing skills for 9 and 10 year olds, their ball handling and shooting is already at a very high level.
I was stealing food from the gas station at 4th grade. These kids are out here playing ball like this? I don’t wanna hear anything about “the good ol days”. This is evolution lol
How is it possible that Sheppard kid is projected to be a top 5 pick? This year's tournament was the first time I saw him play but he didn't look like anything special
@@_JellyDonut_ He was great all season and was clutch in many situations. Calipari does something to these kids...he breaks them down mentally and they fall apart in tournament situations. Someone needs to address this because it is very real. Calipari turns 4 and 5 star players into 2 star players. Good luck to Arkansas!
@@JJGhostHunters I don't know if it's fair to put all the blame on Cal. He's coached a ton of guys who went on to be great pros and credit him for their success. If a kid can't take the pressure maybe he's just not built for the big time. Those 4 or 5 star ratings are based on what they did in high school. Just because you're great at one level doesn't mean it's going to translate to the next. I guess time will tell with Sheppard
@@_JellyDonut_ You make a fair point. Sheppard is a really good player, but I don't think he is ready for the NBA. I wished he would have stayed at UK a couple more years. But remember, that Cal only won 1 championship with all of those that went to the NBA as first round draft picks. Even lost to Wisconsin in 2015 after going perfect the whole season. The players just got overwhelmed and should not have lost the way they did.
i dont know much about how kids are coached, but this kid has game. just look at how he commands the floor.not just his handling skills. one for the future for sure
A great call by the ref too, didn't want it to become a problem so he stopped it immediately. The kid was hype and he should be after that shot through contact but don't get into the other kids face, he's got plenty of time to learn about sportsmanship.

I worked as a basketball referee for elementary school when I lived in the US in 1998. The difference to how these young guys can play now is mind-blowing and unbelievable. The skills they have now, the pace of the game, it's completely different. They don't play like children. It's honestly more entertaining than the WNBA, no joke.
That’s cool you wanna do that and very honorable and respectful thing to do and I amend You for that ! That’s more than I can say for the creator of this video with their stereotypical BS Thumbnail raging on the Kid because he’s wearing KOBE BRYANT shoes ! Pretty damn disrespectful & racist in my opinion. If you look around he’s not the only kid wearing Nike Kobe's. I think that kid is outstanding for his size and age and he’s gonna be a force to be reckoned with by time he gets to high school and college if he keeps improving.
I mean if you think about it, men have used the last 10,000 years to hunt and survive for their families, while women were pretty much forced to wait at home and take care of the kids Genetically, yes, men are the better basketball players But I think we should take a step to be more sensitive. The dribbling is impressive but the lil dudes finishing off the bounce is crazy , are 4th graders this elite every year or this the year of 4th grade unicorns?
Years back when i got back into working out and hooping this 4th grade kid at the ymca begged me to play 1on1. I eventually said ok thinking it would be nice of me to give him an opponents since his dad was in the weight room and wouldn't play with him. As soon as i made the first shot the kid started getting cocky and talking smack. I was like dont make me do this to you lil guy lol. I check him the ball on lax defense and the kid started cooking me. I progressively started defending a little more and more every posession but i ended up legit having to lock him down and he was still hitting layups and 3s off the rim.😅😅 I was so impressed. His handles were as good as mine..
The internet be like: 4th grader, good offense, terrible defense. Not good at basketball, has easy package, But… WEARS $300 SHOES!!?!! HES GOING TO THE NBA!!!!!! Against… 4th grader, Best defense and offense. 99% free throw and 3 point shooting, Can lock down anyone, can shoot over 5 ppl, Has excellent Agilty, speed, and athleticism, but wears normal basketball shoes?!!!? He’s trash
That's cute...$300 shoes....The Grinches will run you more like $1,000 now...the Reverse Grinches you might get lucky and get them for $350. $1000 shoes can catch L's just like hand me downs can. You're right though, I liked the other kids game better.

I agree! U teach them to be disruptive and disrespectful on the court it spills over into their private lives and on the street. You teach them to play hard but be respectful on the court it also follows them off he court. I’ve played and coached the game in 3 different sports ⚾️🏀🏈 and I taught my kids to be on the field or court the same way I felt they should act in real life. I’ll call out any coach who teaches or encourages his students disrespectfulness roughness and rowdiness on a basketball court as making a huge mistake that will follow in those kids personal life. Football there’s a sense of rowdiness for sure to a point, but basketball, No there’s no place for a being mean and rowdy mentality. Any coach or parental group who’s encouraging that crap will be same ones visiting their kids in Prison. It’s a game with rules and regulations just like life ! Anyone teaching kids there is no rules and regulations are creating bad seeds for their future. They have to be taught structure and rules. The way these little kids tackling each other on the floor like football going after the ball and no whistle was blown.... Tells me No rules and structures were being enforced.
Todos estos niños juegan bien, pero el pequeño niño que tiene el numero 1 de color naranja, juega mejor que muchos adultos. Creo que de grande va a ser muy bueno! Espero llegar a verlo jugar cuando este en la universidad!
Am I the only one shook not realizing kids could play at these levels, I was thinking 4th grade these kids just ball for fun but their hitting jumpshots aiming perfectly 3 points ect, I didn’t think kids that young with developing body and harder to shoot being smaller still growing especially regular rim could perform this good, when I was in 4th grade I’m pretty sure when I played ball we were kids playing but these guys play with technique at a young age didn’t know it be possible for them to learn and adapt

Love how serious these kids play the game!! So badass!! ❤❤
The best part of the video, undoubtedly is the ref calling a technical fould to the kid for disrespect the oponent. Well done. Education first.
Man, I did not expect to get sucked into this game. This was a good watch. Kudos to these kids and the coaches.
There’s always a big kid with goggles/glasses, and that kid always ends up being my favorite player on the court 😂
The,tall passive nerd the giraffe kn the wild 😂😂
This is the way the game is supposed to be played, great job parents and coaches.
