Welcome to the development of my 3D Action RPG Hollow Runes. This is a game inspired by Zelda, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, and many more. The game development roadmap for this indie game will include all manner of different ways I tackle this dream project of mine. It's very much a passion devlog first and foremost, and I use Unity and Blender primarily for my toolset. First of all its refreshing to see a devlog of a narrative driven game as opposed to seeing devlogs procedurally generated worlds ect. with zero direction. Secondly, I think the character looks charming with or without the attire.
I personally like the second color scheme because it stands out in the green environment and makes the main character pop.

for my game i used a normal mesh that i placed on the character and anything that needs to move or flow theres an asset called dynamic bone that works really well. you can set things like stiffness and give colliders to the body so it doesn't go into the players body

Blender was hard, so I went back to 2D games haha. I would suggest giving him pants under the leg armor, kinda looks like he is running around with his butt exposed hehehe

I think that makes a lot of sense if the characters holds a bit of the sprite within it's special clothing. Neat Idea!
