The cente seat shoulder+lap belt is to comply sith more stringent safety rules. The EuroNCAP and other ratings consider these and other systemsin their cumulative safety score. Gettinga 5 start NCAP rating takes more than bags and crumple zones. So that is why more and more cars are coming out with ways to comply. Am sure you have even seen some cars with belts tethered to the roof etc.

I’ve hD a 2009 for 10 years 7 seater 4 wheel drive no problems what so ever. Has been a great car.

Drove one since 2015 it's good.
Once replaced the gearbox in 2020 but very good, the petrol version.

Just make sure to service change the gearbox oil and the filter when you get it
Especially if there is no service history available
