Tony Williams (drums) - Ira Coleman (bass) - Mulgrew Miller (piano) - Bill Pierce (sax) - Wallace Roney (trumpet) From "New York Live" (Blue Note, 1990, directed by Richie Namm)
@@stewbie59 Mulgrew Miller died 29 of May 2013...heart attack number two got him down, first minor stroke in 2010, he kept on playing though, on 24 of May he was taken to the Hospital for the second stroke and died there on the 29 of May. Great musician.
I don't know what to say about this incredible group. Such fine playing, superb technique with even better feel, driven by that phenomenal drummer Tony Williams. I've said too much, except where are the other million or so viewers who really should see and hear this?
This never gets old... I play it several times a day, whenever I need a bit of a kick or when that Ear worm gets me. It's that good. So layered with goodness! God bless you Tony...
