Yikes the comment section is not passing the vibe check on this video, why are people so negative! Maybe he didn’t say anything negative because he liked the entire demo, also has never had a problem saying he disliked something when it comes to a game so why would he now.
I'm so thrilled to see how good this game looks, and the smaller and non punishing nature of it. I was so exhausted by rune factory 5's sandbox bc it wastoo big and cumbersome to get around and this looks more like what i wish more open world and sandbox games would aspire to. Good qol, fun methods of traversal, thoughtfully designed environments.
I’ve been following this game for a while, and what you’ve presented seems very interesting and cozy. Maybe I’d try it after I’ve completed some must-plays.
Great video josh, I think you were very clear that this is a sponsored video. Also it isnt a review, It's a list of the good things you found in the game. Keep up the great work man ;)
The main goal (as in the story) is to find your missing sister. The gameplay loop however is all about exploring and finding components so you can progress. There is no decorating.
Why didn't you say it as first thing in "your review" @@JoshGamingGarden you just read the pdf Nacon sent you to read and they are so dumb they made it sound like those old teleshopping adverts where theyvare naming reasons why their knife is better than other knives and you read it like a simpleton for them.
This video is not a review, I never said it was a review and I would never agree to a sponsored review as that would be biased. The publisher reached out to sponsor a video, gave me complete freedom and I decided to talk about the open-world aspect of the game since that's what stood out to me when I played, and one thing I tend to have a lot of problems with in other games. It's all just my personal opinion, and as I said in the video, one thing I like in the game might be something you dislike. It's pretty offensive for you to assume I'm reading a script from the publisher when I spent multiple days working on this video. I always only give my honest thoughts in my videos which is why I would NEVER do a sponsored review, and I opted to just talk about what I like with the open-world. Also, I did say in the video that there was no decorating, crafting, etc., and that the game was really just exploring and collecting.
@JoshGamingGarden ok ty for that info. Sounds like a good cozy game to play before bed and relax without having to think about too much. I might check it out if the demo is still up.
@@JoshGamingGarden Haha, it's understandable, I've been hearing about this game for a while and just now discovered that it wasn't Sandwich when seeing the titlescreen in this vid
Ah, what a shame. Was interested but this video made my decision. Great video but as soon as you said "Sponsored by" and no negative comments on the game! Day and night cycle is also a must for a camping exploration game otherwise, what's the point!
I think he'd still say negative stuff despite being sponsored if there was truly a problem. If there wasn't anything obvious it means they truly did a great job so you can get it without worrying. Josh's always been that transparent. Maybe day & night option is on their planning for a sequel who knows? Then again if you start with that some might want seasons & weather and more. All of this could maybe added in dlc, if it's the devs first game maybe giving them feedback might help them more for maybe a sequel but maybe the devs felt it wasn't needed & technically there isn't a date system in the game so its ok if its day only they probably just wanted a leisurely exploration as a start. I don't know if its a camping one you basically live in your & if it was meant for all ages then this is still quite suitable for parent to play with their young kids. I've seen worser games, this one seems to have some nice details. If it was a game focused on survival yeah day & night etc. might've made it more interesting but this one is a story driven one with focus on exploration, collection & story? I don't have the idea you're building a camp/base.y
@@ashleymaker39True, each to their own! My response was on your sponsored as you seemed to imply that Josh only said positive things because of the sponsorship which turned you off? Next was "the must have day night cycle on camping exploration" I didn't get the idea this game's your standard camping base/building exploration game as its a narrative story driven game so I was curious why'd you feel it's still a must for that in a game without a set date & day to day system. I don't know over what exact timespan the story plays but if it's let's say based only an daytime search on a particular day storywise then the night wouldn't fit in nor make sense as you'd be wondering why it's night then instead. If it makes sense storywise I don't see a problem here, hope that's makes it clearer where I'm coming from. I still find it quite nice for a debut game, but it's slated for later as I have a huge backlog & wishlist I also usually don't like to play games where you mainly have to drive a vehicle, because I'm really a disastrous driver.🙈 So for me just seeing the car alone was my turn off but I still liked the graphics & setting, I don't like dark games because it'd strain my already bad eyes & I'd be fiddling the brightness rather than playing I can already see myself quitting or raging in such a case. I think it's a nice game to get out if my comfort zone at least I can crash that vehicle as I please.:3 Well, anyways for me it's a good thing it isn't a survival one with zombies, police, gangsters etc. on your tail & there's no damage & day/night cycle or timed as that be me stuck & my character 's poor sister would never ever be found quickly if at all, if there was a bad ending well I'd definitely easily trigger it for sure in such a scenario.😅😂
"This video is sponsored/paid by the devs of the game I'm talking positively about and also promote by sharing their social media in my description" > how to lose all credibility in 1 second. By the way, you MUST specify on your TH-cam video that it's a sponsored video (with the "sponsored" TH-cam green label etc.), hidden sponsorship (saying quickly "it's sponsored by blabla" is not enough, and you perfectly knows it) goes against TH-cam TOS.
I agree. But everything Josh is saying in this video equals my experience with the demo of this game. It is the smoothest open world game I have ever played.
There is a box when you start playing the video (in the top-left) that indicates that the video includes a paid promotion. I also mention it at the beginning and end. It's in no way hidden and it's in accordance with TH-cam terms of service and the regulations in my country. I always do my best to make it clear that the video is sponsored, and I apologize if there was any confusion. I wanted to discuss the topic of open-worlds and everything I said in the video is still what I think. I also specify that the things I like might be ones you dislike, so I hope people can watch and form their own opinion on the game based on what they are looking for in an open-world I apologize and will think about a different format for future sponsored videos, but unfortunately without sponsored videos once in a while this channel would not be able to exist as it is.
Ignore this person's misinformation Josh. They do not represent the feelings of your community as a whole and you do not need reconsider how you handle anything. Nothing about this video was inappropriate. The TH-cam terms of service demand you demonstrate when content is sponsored. That's it. Josh explicitly stating this in the first 60 seconds of the video, follows the guidelines to the letter, nothing else is necessary to comply whatsoever. Your reaction is baseless and egregious. You can feel however you want to about sponsored content, but to suggest wrong doing when none has taken place, is wrong doing in of itself. Josh does not need to apologize for your inappropriate and inaccurate accusations. Though, his response is classy and thoughtful. I respect that completely.
You claim it’s “hidden” yet you (and everyone else who watched) knew immediately that this video was sponsored within the first minute. You must have had to do a lot of digging to find that out 🫠
Came here just to say that’s such a bad thumbnail. You try to get my attention with your thumbnail so I’m gonna comment on it. Does it change EVERYTHING does it?? Does it?? SO BAD. Didn’t even watch your video.

Love a game that respects your time but still gives you enough to get immersed in the world for a bit. 7 hours for the main story sounds perfect!
Love the points you made about constant daytime and the focus on exploration without a health bar etc. Very insightful video!

Looks interesting to play, thanks for the video!
It has driving?! I love it already! 🥰🥰🥰
Definitely picking this up at some point, but The Plucky Squire is out tomorrow so will be playing that first.
Thanks!
The game reminds me of death stranding for the traveling via a truck.
edit: Lmao this is death stranding minus the dying part lol
the not so subtle shade to Winds of Anthos 😁 1:58
