The SP5 Survival Bowie is a nice one too. Not quite as heavy as the SP10 but still has an 9.5 inch blade.

That one looks a little too much like a machete for me, although I may end up picking it up in the future just to round out the set.

From what I've read about the Bowie knife, the original one was more like a big butcher knife. Then the legend & hype took over & knife makers started over building them.
This SP10 pattern is a version of the V44 of WW2 which was patterned after an army air corps pilot survival knife in 1934.
