It was hard watching you cut up that old pick up for panels, but with your skills, if you say it's too far gone, ..then it's definitely too far gone. Keep up the good work

Yeah that pick up looks great doesn't it... all that patina with the nice and bright chrome. Such a shame. I bet you in 10-15 years it'll be one of the better candidates as a project!

When the buyer finishes it I hope he’ll follow up with you so we can see how it turns out. You did a nice job with the foundation and saved an old panel that other wise would have rusted away.

Yep, I'd love to see how this one turns out in the end. I hope the new owner will finish the job properly. It would be great to see the van in shiny paint, with the chrome polished up. Patina finishes have their place but these huge side panels are screaming out for a custom paint job.

I am learning so much from your fabrication videos. I've got a 1970 Karmann Ghia that needs considerable fabrication. I'm using it as a learning vehicle. I don't have alot in it but will spend a bit on sheet metal. I'm about ready to begin on a floor panel which will be covered up so I think it's a good place to start.

It gives me motivation to finish my Grandfather's 51 one ton panel. He purchased her new in 51. Had a plumbing business in Newark NJ, then my Uncle took her out to Southern California in 1955. He started his own plumbing business out there too.
I have her now back in NJ with hardly any rust because of her life in California.
