Can't you see that I am all for your love now, now
Can't you see?
Can't you see how much I need some more love, baby?
Can't you see?
Oh now, can't you see?
Ever since we kissed that night
Ever since I held you tight
I just don't want nobody else
So put your lips on mine
Leave them there 'til the morning time
Lord don't leave me by myself
Lay, lay a little lovin' on me
(Lay a little lovin' on me)
A-honey, doggone it, I depend upon it
So lay a little lovin' on me
Let me hear you now
(Lay a little lovin' on me)
You gotta feel it, babe, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Lay a little lovin' on me)
A-honey, doggone it, I depend upon it
So lay a little lovin' on me
Everyday is not enough of you, babe
I'm sayin' everyday
I need the day and every nighttime too, babe
Everyday
Oh everyday
Don't you know what I've got inside
A love that's been denied
A love that's growing day by day
You're such a pretty child
You're about to drive me wild
Come on, babe, now what you say?
Hey, lay a little lovin' on me
Lay a little lovin' on me
A-honey, doggone it, I depend upon it
So lay a little lovin' on me
Let me hear you now
(Lay a little lovin' on me)
You're gonna want me, baby, yeah alright
Honey, doggone it, I depend upon it
So lay a little lovin' on me
Oh, oh
Honey, I want you
Baby, I need you
I love you (i love you)
Oh baby
Lay a little lovin' on me, oh yeah
Honey, doggone it, I depend upon it
So lay a little lovin' on me
Let me hear you now
(Lay a little lovin' on me)
You're gonna want me, baby, yeah
(Lay a little lovin' on me)
(Honey, doggone it, I depend upon it) alright
(So lay a little lovin' on me)

Remembering Robin McNamara born on May 5, 1947. He was an American musician, singer and songwriter. Together with McNamara's then songwriting partner Jim Cretecos, they wrote a song called Lay a Little Lovin' on Me. In the late 1960's, Robin McNamara relocated to New York City, where he became a cast member of the Broadway musical Hair, playing the lead role of Claude from 1969 to 71. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_McNamara
I never liked or watched "Hair". Maybe I could SEE through the SUBVERSIVE 'unisex' agenda behind it. I heard some of it's music on the radio of course, but wasn't a fan of that either.
Hey you must upload more

The guys would sneak up behind you in the hall, and go blay!!! like a madman-a little lovin' on me, to scare us to pieces. Don't ask me! It was a thing they did, and still remember and laugh about. 🤣
I always thought it sounds like a black woman singing this song. Believe it or not but it took only one take to sing this song in studio with the backing vocals from people from Broadway stage show HAIR. The song hit #11 on Billboard's Hot 100 survey in the summer of 1970. Lack of further chart success ended & dubbed McNamara as a one hit wonder with the song.
Yup, better ONE hit than NOTHING! BTW, listen to "Mr. Big Stuff". Maybe you will see why you thought this artist was a Black Woman? WARNING! There is VERY big and SCARY hair in that video!!! LMBO!
Good leg kicking!
