I'm going on 5 years whole foods🏋‍♀ My goodness it sucked when I first started I was a veggie gagger, but I stuck with it and I am so glad I did. Only took me 50 years to get here but I made it.

I started WFPB diet 3 months ago - got my blood work done Monday - Total Cholesterol dropped from 266 to 159 and LDL dropped from 174 to 74. I never really ate much ultra processed food, but lots of cheese and other full fat dairy products. I had cut eggs too, but just added those back yesterday (I'll only do 2 a day) for the choline.

It would be really helpful if it was required for the food manufacturers to print a UPF warning label. Before I read the book Ultra Processed People I was unaware of how much ultra processed food there was and that it was harmful. I didn’t know bread was ultra processed a lot of the time and it is hard to get real bread.

I have a whole food plant-based diet and do it cheaply, although I can afford more. However, in the last 9 years I have lived in 20 countries and 100 cities in Europe… and I have visited many supermarkets that had a dozen varieties of rice, but none that are whole grain. Sometimes a store like that will have a whole grain red or black rice for sale, but those options cost 3 times as much as the processed white and brown rices.

What is sad is that if the world were to cut out ultra processed foods, I really do not believe there would be as much food to go around. In other words, this world cannot produce nearly as much natural food as the world needs.

@@kayla7777pop have you ever turned on a tv or maybe browsed the internet? Do you think the world is hoarding unprocessed food somewhere in a bunker in the middle of nowhere? If you really believe the world will be able to grow all the food we need to feed everyone then you’re gonna be disappointed in what the future looks like.

It astounds me how so many people are unaware about this, including me until recent times. This should absolutely be taught in schools!!

Ultra processed foods will never end because it tastes so good...😂😂 Unfortunately many people prefer the joy of eating fake food than the joy of looking slim and being healthy

You need to define what eating alittle ultraprocessed food means. American Heart Association recommends at most 24 grams ofsugar daily for an ault female . start looking at theaddrd sugar on the nutritional labdels of processed food.

Sometimes it's very difficult to find real food in more deprived areas of the Uk. Just lots of processed junk foods and take aways on every street. Corner shops with no fresh food. I don't eat any Ultra-processed foods so often find nothing to eat until I find a large supermarket. Why is it so hard to find healthy alternatives when everywhere you look the majority of people are overweight?
