Thanks for your past videos which really helped me sort out MOST of the issues on my 2003 H2. I think my current electrical issue is the air suspension compressor relay which intermittently gets stuck and draws power even with the engine off. Not surprising in a 20-year-old truck.
😢😢 Thank you so much for all your H2 video's you made.. I have enjoyed watching them over and over.. You are an awesome guy and I wish you the very best in life.. Randy
Most likely was a bad BCM Hummers are well known for having bad BCM because of the position they’re located in underneath the cluster in the dashboard. Hummers are well known for water permeating into the vehicle especially the front dashboard area. Because of this that causes the BCM to be damaged. Guaranteed that was your problem.
Not the bcm . Had a couple of guys trying to track the problem with no success at all. This guys worked on H2s for years and after going through a few batteries in a really short amount of times I just decided it was time to stop spending time chasing what ever the issue was. We replaced several things including older water damaged wiring harnesses with no success at all.
I finally fixed my h2. let sit 3 weeks and it still started. Removed onstar...and the trailer hitch fuse. And the main culprit was the key cylinder was staying on when key was removed.
Same problem i had with my H2, had crazy electrical problems, I think the one i purchased got hit by the houston floods. Could've been because a drug kingpin used to own it. Maybe the electric problems occured from them taking things apart and stashing drugs any and everywhere to smuggle. It was a repossession of a kingpin that had went to prison. It was a 2008 h2 sut in mint condition as far as interior and exterior, bu COULD NOT find the source of the electrical problems
I have the same problem, but not as severe. It usually drains the battery while just sitting there without being driven or started. After 2 days the battery is dead and I have to charge or jump start the hummer. To combat the electrical problems I installed a battery kill switch and it stopped the problem.
🤔🤔🤔A battery kill switch huh…where’d you get your exact part?…it’s all kinds of stuff online. I want my problem gone like hot tacos. Thanks for any help.
@@theasylife I wouldn't recommend the kill switch as an ultimate fix, because it can damage the vehicle computer. I got the kill switch from AutoZone it's the knob style. I did get the power issue resolved, but it came back probably because of water leaking into the vehicle. The part I had replaced is called a body control module. I don't know if the shop was pumping me full of smoke, but the Hummer seemed to remain charged for longer periods of time. In the future I'll try putting a tarp over the vehicle or parking under a roof.
-Bought my H2 mid March2024 😃 -Ran fine for a week or two. Battery died. -Bought a new battery. 😅 -Ran fine for about a week. -Battery died. 🙂↕️ -Paid (2) mobile technician for diagnostics. -tech 1= air bag sensors (ABS) -tech 2= it maybe factory stereo, definitely instrument cluster & air bag sensors 😢 -tech 2 offered to remove/reinstall instrument cluster for $170 after I have it repaired. -I removed it myself, in like 15 minutes -I now trust nearly nobody, & the H2 is sitting in the driveway. -gonna disconnect On Star & test. Hopefully that works. If not, find stereo amplifier, disconnect. -Trucks beautiful & sits in the driveway with battery disconnected. -If nothing above works, I’m selling & buying a 1998 Toyota Corolla.
Best advice to find a wiring harness for aftermarket radios is to go online to crutchfield.com enter the h2 details and try to find a radio similar to the one you have and yhe website will show you exactly what harness you need to make the aftermarket radio works properly with the H2 .
I recently purchased the harness and a double DIN CarPlay/Android Auto radio from Crutchfield for my 2003. Very reasonable price. Fairly easy install if you get over the nonsense of having to remove the center console just to gain access to two bottom screws holding the center panel in place. Crutchfield is the best for older car conversions with great technical support to help you during the installation.
my black 2003 did this, it was a Duracell, less than 1 year old so I took it back and exchanged it and I'm not sure if it still has the problem because it's been parked on a charger while sitting need to replace the steering box, I was hoping it was the battery but I don't know for sure. Sounds like a dead short somewhere. well, maybe another one will come along. You might not want one after you get the EV.
Man im so excited about the EV you have no idea. Like i mentioned on todays video towards the end , if you have any issues fix them before it gets to hard to trace .
Im still here always remember if you ever have any H2 issues post them in the comments and either me or someone else will always try to help out in anyway we can.
Low mileage vehicles are a red flag for me. Better to get something high mileage with the idea that it's going to be a restoration project. That said, you're going to kick yourself in 6-10 years when Hummer H2's in rough shape can't be found for under $50k. Like selling your Bitcoin at $10 each not knowing they'd eventually hit $65,000 each. So, your TH-cam channel's name?!
There was so much wiring that needed to be replaced I rather just not deal with it. Basically i would have had to take the entire interior out and start from the beginning just to make sure all the wiring was replaced with newer rebuilt wiring harness.
Man con la cantidad de problems electricos que tenia fue mejor venderla en la subasta que darle problemas a cualquiera de mis seguidores aqui en TH-cam.
Same problem.. i unhooked on-star and haven't had a problem since.
That solved my issue temporarily but then more problems came up later .

Yeah the key issue is something I heard from other owners.glad you got it fixed.

Yeah The kill switch idea was something a friend told me about.

I can’t figure out what wire harness to get for my 2003… can’t get my after market double din to power on using the GM radio wire harness

Interesting dude !
first post, I just happened to open up you tube and it said posted 42 secs ago.
yeah just got it published now
I literally had to remove the Air bag module from under the driver seats from being so corroded

@@dailydrivenH2 once you get under the carpet of a Hummer H2 you're opening a can of worms 😔
Going Thur this now thx
Look at any aftermarket installs you have on the truck and check the wiring its a good place to start with .
