- Bible nerd friends, join me as we Bible journal sermon notes together! We listen to a sermon I found here online for free and I explain what I do and don't write in my Bible and WHY!
All of this is with the aim to hopefully encourage and empower you to take more effective sermon notes to help you in your Bible studies and enhance your Bible journaling!

That was distracting trying to listen to what he was saying through the video. When I have heard videos at 2x on my own, it is fine. I'm not sure if it was because I was watching 2x through a video that made it weird?
And maybe I'm just a weird ducky. But I just had a hard time concentrating on what he was saying😅
No from one viewer… I enjoyed the sermon and it was a bit to quick to dig deep, had to rewind, a lit. Excellent study here and would love a follow up!

Hi! I'm a 63 y.o. Southern mama, too! Over here in Mississippi studying my Bible in the ac! It is too hot already 🔥!! If I'm watching on my own, it would depend on the speed of the speaker, but with Faith stopping and reviewing, I like the speed up because I can get much more info in one sitting!
I definitely would love to see more sermon break downs. I do sermon break downs too and find myself writing too much info. And however long the sermon is usually turns into double the time for me to write everything down. Thank you for explaining this and look forward to seeing more if you choose to do so. God bless!!
I watch a lot of your videos and I rarely comment but today's content featuring a sermon from Pastor Voddie Bauchem was soooo good. (Your content has been good to me all along) I enjoyed this video and look forward to you continuing with this series.

I’m a transcript reader 🤓, then I screenshot text to write in my Bible. thank you ❤, I’ve been studying how Strongs Concordance was written- fascinating! Can you imagine working on a concordance project without a computer and using a quill and ink bottle? 🤯 yes, do another sermon note lesson. 👩💻

Love the thought process behind what you take note on and why. I’m new to diving deep into the word (and honestly even reading the word lol) so it’s really helpful to see the thought process behind how others absorb and understand the word and what a sermon is trying to share. This is brilliant Faith! Thank you!! I hadn't thought of watching on 2x speed to save time. It only takes our brains 1-2 minutes to adjust to the speed and completely understand what is being said.

Lord Jesus give me strength as I struggle to take care of my children. Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. Lord Jesus I’m overwhelmed as a single mother. I’m constantly struggling to buy groceries and constantly struggling to pay rent and now that I’m home schooling my sons I’m struggling even more. Lord give me strength I can’t do it without you.💕

I was like... I watch things on faster speeds- why can't I keep up with it as easily as usual???? Because I was already watching on 1.25 lol.
This is the video I was looking for! Thank you for your process and methods. Anything that helps me learn to think is very useful to me. I love this kind of video (it's also why I like Mike Wingers 20/10 questions- because I'm able to learn how to think!) very useful.. so yes please!! More would be great!!! Maybe even a Mike Winger one... And I can have a video about my two favourite Jesus kids on the internet lol
This was really helpful in figuring out what to write vs what NOT to write, because that's something I've been getting hung up on as I start Bible journaling. Also, being willing to criticize or double check the pastor or teacher is so important. I think we harm ourselves in Bible study (and faith in general) when we elevate good bible teachers to the point where it feels dangerous or disloyal to question them.

❤🔥👏 loved this! I thought More notes would be taken. However I'm looking at it from the perspective of being new(ish) to studying the Word & still learning these scriptures for myself. Thank you for choosing this video as well. I've had these discussions with friends & family for years & never known how to differentiate "Love" from "love".
I really like Voddie Baucham. But I’m so glad you mentioned the hint of legalism. Calvinist, I find, walk a fine line between grace and legalism. It’s just something I’ve noticed. In which I think they can just sometimes come off legalistic even if they don’t mean to. There’s some hyper-Calvinists that have really gone off into cultish legalistic doctrine. I don’t think Voddie is one of them BUT always discern sermons and commentaries and ask questions. Men are fallible. Great video Faith. Loved this concept. I’m also happy to see you not write as many notes as I thought you would. This is often me and I feel line I’m doing something wrong or not absorbing what I should be.
I LOVE Mr. Baucham and I would enjoy seeing more of these with you.

I’ve really enjoyed you and I’m learning a lot. I’m 67. I ordered a new Bible. I’m going to read through it, then compare how different my markings are compared to when I was alot younger. Should prove interesting.

I appreciated this video. I would probably watch if you did a series. This video helped me with how I might want to take notes in my Bible. I haven’t really taken notes in my Bible because of fear of messing it up. I have gotten a used Bible to start writing notes in to help overcome the fear of messing the Bible up. So here I go.

Thank you so much for your work and tips, Faith! 😊❤ I feel this gleaning truth out of sermons is some advanced stuff for me. I will first read through the Bible. Only then might I actually attempt doing something similar, Faith. I have watched your video till the end and, you are right: Word Studies are important. My Bible is a translation of the original. May I always remember this fact and not hesitate to look up Strong's Concordance.
I would love to see a more expository sermon just to contrast this more topical one!

Yes, I really enjoyed this process. I became a little frustrated with using the bible hub app. I could not locate the same information you found. I started concentrating on that instead of the points you were making. I would like to see more like this.

It is the Thomas Nelson KJV Holy Bible larger print... something something. All I can say is God bless Amazon for this delivery. It looks AMAZING, almost like a novel.
I have tested it by reading Deuteronomy. It reads wonderfully. Maybe I can provide a link to it if anyone is interested.

I like his speed. It helps me take in what he’s saying. So I turned it to half speed…and then when you spoke, you 100% sounded drunk 😂 gotta say, it was hilarious 😆
For the next installment, I would love to learn how to use Strong's Concordance for word studies and how you decide which meaning of the original word is the right one. I feel that would be super interesting and practical. It is just an idea. ❤😊
