That's not how news reporters get their stories. All news stations have an assignment editor and news editor who send the reporters out on a story to cover. Dudes just trying to make it. Rent is crazy expensive for a lot of working adults. Not having a home doesn’t mean you have to live without basics.. or at least what the average citizen considers basics. I’ve heard many stories about how people who try to utilize housing assistance for the homeless, are being treated like prisoners and children. Very strict curfew and wake hours, strict rules… they sort of make sense for drug addicted, lazy irresponsible homeless people.. but it’s too much for people that genuinely just need some help getting on their feet and having a warm place to stay.
its 60 cents of energy, the air mattress if maybe 100 bucks, the projector is maybe 250. Do you know what rent is? You are a dick who can't do basic math. .
If being on drugs is a measure of locking people up, then let's round up millions of Americans because the homeless aren't the ones buying billions of dollars of drugs, and then billions on alcohol. That's the people with jobs and roofs.
You can't determine he's not doing drugs from this interview. He did say he, "I signed up for housing not rehab", so he is likely a drug user. Does he work? How does he pay for food, water and internet? He is abusing the system, he's stealing energy. Taxpayers pay for the DWP power he uses to charge his power station.
Good for him- but not on a city street. Go somewhere else man. Happy for you to be able to live off grid and affordably but not in front of businesses. This news people are so annoying. He was nice enough to show them but I wish he hadn't. They're trying to get him in trouble.
Susan Hirasuna is a horrible human being, she looked for the story and then tried to have the homeless men in problems one way or another, wow, I would not accept her interview.
That's not how news reporters get their stories. All news stations have an assignment editor and news editor who send the reporters out on a story to cover. They generally do not have the luxury of choosing what stories to ignore and which to report on. KTLA, NBC, ABC, and KCAL all ran similar stories to this, but you aren't complaining about them. Why not?
@@ropeysubstance1719 did they try to hurt the homeless man for the sake of their Interview? Because she did, why are you defending someone who would try to hurt you?
THEY JUST SNITCHED PEDRO OUT!! SHAME ON U FOX11!😂
They're trying to snitch on the liberal run governance, Pedro is just collateral
Someone is going to get robbed! Flashing his goodies on TV. And they even were nice enough to give his exact location😎
He's been there two years. There's a reason he still has all that stuff and hasn't been robbed of it
So you want housing but no rules… how cute 🙄
No he wants to be left alone
You seem to be a sniveling conformist 😅
he got a electric generator that last a week? damn i need one of those
No rent, no taxes.. must be nice
Oh yeah, looks fantastic living in a fucking tent on the sidewalk 🙄
you can do it too if its that nice
If it looks so nice to you, why don't you trade places with him?
We should be OK with it if they stop charging us property tax... or let them do it as long as they get sidewalk property tax with rules
And he's been there for 2 years with no job. What a bum
Lol dude doesn't charge it at the light pole but at the train station. Still stealing power. That being said more power to this guy
Definitely tapping into the city lighting
And our "novelty" mayor wants millions and millions of dollars for people that dont want that help 🤔
So are you trying to rat on him or what.? He looks like he's not doing anything illegal just leave him alone
@1:27 Meth pipe and torches....
These are ALL NONE SENSE.
None here is legal. IF IT IS, THEN EVERYONE COULD DO THIS ON PUBLIC STREET/SIDEWALK? IMAGINE THAT ! ! !
“Then everyone could do this on public street/sidewalk” And.. they are! Can you imagine that? Some cities… encampments everywhere.
You speak like an illegal
@@HiThisIsMine And this media reporter seems to be EXCITED TO SEE THAT THE HOMELESS GUY HAS TWO TENTS.
Theyre trying to criminalize him for charging his generator awesome work Los Angeles
So how does he pay for food ?? How can the guy work if he has all that expensive stuff in his tent it wouldn’t last an hour. I’m assuming he doesn’t work. This is just ridiculous at this point
This is why you go out of the city's. Pretty much got the poor guy set up to be robbed 😢
1:50 - They are nasty and Susan is too for getting behind speaking on how he is recharging his generator. Geez
They won't let him have drugs and watch porn. This is some third world Mad Max nonsense.
He should make a business: point the projector at the wall, turn on Brazzers and charge $1 a pop
Drugs and porn
Can i move in pedro? They just raised my rent again.😭😭
If you didn’t buy a home in California 10 years ago, you’re going to be homeless.
There is no way he can sustain 2 weeks of power powering up a laptop, hotspot, and a projector with a mobile battery setup. If he's lucky he can run that for about 3 hours on something that can be moved to the train station to recharge. That's about 60 pounds of latest lithium batteries to run that for a few hours. And he's not tapping into the city lights. He's tapping into the power line @1:12 that leads to the lights. 😂He forgot to screw the access panel back in where he's stealing power to watch movies when there's a need for juice.
hows a whole rat able to type on youtube
what type of unit was he using? how much does it take to run his equipment according to how often he charges his power station? tell us please ? i mean you are a rocket scientist aret you
Camp ground tent camping vs street how much could one save
What's wrong with the library or solar panel??
It is absolutely illegal as city ordinances prohibit non permitted domiciles amongst all the other permit issues; obstructing sidewalks, certainly the defication on streets and sidewalks. He is absolutely stealing power as the cover was removed. Codes and ordinances are being selectively enforced.
Congrats! You win douchebag of the year! Come accept your award😢
Part of me thinks this man is a genius, but part of me thinks he must be doing something to abuse the system to have it that nice. I'm going to go with he's not doing drugs, so he deserves it a little better.

One could argue the torch lighters could be for THC dabs 😂
Asian's should be ashamed of this reporter.disgusting how she wantef to get him in trouble
Lots of job openings?
Pedro is definitely tapping into city lighting 02:39
_that pole was open at the bottom when he showed it_
Lots of poles are opened, from previous people stealing the power
They snitching on that poor man
im thinking of being homeless now
that seems a very rich unbothered homeless person
Who else is here from The DS?
This irritated me. Why go out of your way to mind his business.
Thanks 4 reporting this. I thought fox was all bad. You know small generation can work. Thanks again.
That B straight up DRY SNITCHIN’ on Pedro! That was low Susan! Shame on you Susan!
Damn
How is this guy not going to jail for stealing electricity? While I am paying so much for my electricity bill .... This just bafffles me.
He's not stealing electricity. He got a power generator. U just jealous and it aints his fault
Good for him- but not on a city street. Go somewhere else man. Happy for you to be able to live off grid and affordably but not in front of businesses. What of you had a home and someone set up tents in your yard or if someone put a business in front of your home? They have to have areas for homeless. If homeless people can live like this in an area away from businesses and public areas, power to them- sounds tempting lol. Again- not in private property or public areas!!!!!!!!! Also, my ass hes not tapping into that power- it looked spliced lol
y yall tryin to rat on him
Free the homie Pedro
God bless America 🇺🇸
Living like a king
Is this safe?
This man is drawing from the pole. No battery of a weight he could manage would last him 2 weeks....
Dude is definitely a tweaker. He has those torches right there all that butane.
His body belongs to him. He can do with it what he pleases
Embarrassing af.... homeless like to be seen as victims ... he should have been asked how he got all that stolen property.. or how much he paid for it!!
Who cares how much he paid for it. Now what if he paid for it before he went homeless punk I had expensive stuff before going homeless and now I'm off the streets. If I go homeless I still have expensive stuff. Why the fuck does that have to get stolen Son
Who cares 🤣
@@sorartificial classic!
If someone went over and took all that shit from him, is he gonna die or any of those things that we are being shown by this man a necessity for someone to live?
He vacuums the sidewalk?
He's right. The restrictions on how you can live in your own place to live is out of control. Smokers have rights just like the non smokers get.
That sidewalk is NOT "his own place".

Yes it is....He is a native to the land....don't forget that you come from the European peninsula
Rugged Individualism LEAVE him be. Good job Pedro taking care of yourself.
Why she messing with him? He’s not bothering no one
