The big deal is that the majority of ppl that marry young (or after having only known the person for a short amount of time) have an extremely high risk of it not working out. Those that work out are rare and in the perfect world I would agree with you (I do actually but the reality paints a different picture)
+Julia Ganau hate to burst your bubble (I'm also Christian, Catholic actually (agnostic)) but there are plenty of Christians that get divorced and oftentimes the reason has nothing to do with God
My grandma got married to my grandpa when she was 16 and he was 19, they've been together for over 50 years and they have the purest love I've seen in my life ❤
why does everyone think that marriage is basically prison? if you're married at a young age and wish to continue pursuing your dreams, you may. you don't have to start popping children just because you two have decided to sign a piece of paper.
I agree, it depends on the person. The only thing that concerns me a little is that their decision to get married was sort of a convenience to end the distance between them. I respect their decision, of course, however, I think marrying someone shouldn't be so they can live closer to you. she could just simply move for that, imo.
I really don't want to sound rude, but it's not that easy to move to America. Like not at all. The rules are very strict and you'd need to be employed and there is this rule that a company can't let you work for them if there is anyone near by that can do the same if youre foreign
Because life is long and getting married is a bigger deal than everyone young thinks. You don't just 'sign a piece of paper'. You move in with them, you see each other every day, you have to figure out financial decisions together, their debt becomes your debt, buying a house together (which is basically the biggest purchase anyone can make), you have to change your name on everything, etc. I'm happy for them but don't think rushing a wedding is a great idea. Plus it's much harder to plan a quick wedding unless it's cheap, I know because I work in the wedding industry.
My mum and dad was married at 21 & 23, And they've just celebrated 30 years. I'm so happy for you both. Ignore all the hate saying your wasting your life etc... I love you both so much, I really hope your relationships lasts long term ❤️❤️
I met my husband (age 19) & engaged one month after our first date (age 19) & married 4.5 months after our engagement (age 20) We have been together over 5 years and we are going strong. Age doesn't dictate success. Communication is key, and you will go far.
Engaged after a month?! i can't even stay talking to someone for that long😭I always find something about them that makes me know they're not the one. (btw i've only spoke to like 4 people in my life😂)
I just got married 3 months ago and I'm 19 and it's so great getting married this young because you get more time to live and make memories with your best friend! ☺️
Getting married at 20 isn't that bad especially if you are with the right person. My parents got married at 22 and they're celebrating their 21st aniversary in November. So good luck to you guys, hope the both of you enjoy the rest of your lives together 😊
My fiancé and I are also Christians and also 20 and we are getting married in Australia in October...if you were both interested incoming to the wedding that would be awesome, would be great to have another young Christian couple there! Xx congratulations on your engagement, I'm sure you guys will do great God honouring things with your lives!
Hi Jess and Gabe, Just wanted to say how incredibly full my heart is to see you guys standing firm in not living marriage life without being married. It's evident that some of the biggest concerns about getting married young is the fact that "you want different things when you get older" and that you change. However, this idea treats marriage as a disposable agreement once things get inconvenient and hard instead of the true, binding covenant that it is. Getting married isn't about finding a person that you can be with because they will never change or because they know exactly what they want. Marriage is a promise to be faithful to one another knowing full well that you will change in all sorts of ways in the future and YET you have promised to be faithful and instead of running away, you have promised to serve and love one another that much more. Some may say that getting married young is stupid, but when done for the right reasons and with this covenant in mind, I think it's so incredibly bold, encouraging, and wise. Truly happy for you guys and have been encouraged by your relationship!
my mom was married at 17 and my dad was 24, not as similar to your situation, but they have now been together for 20 years. it's never too early, or too soon. once you know it is right, just do it, always follow your gut. I love you guys as a couple and I wish you many years together. love you both !
To everyone who is giving them shit about getting married young IT IS NOT YOUR BUSINESS!! they are happy with their decision, so let them live their own life wtf!!
Being engaged at a young age while being so in love with the love of your life is the best thing ever! I'm 20 and engaged to my lovely bestfriend as well! Congrat to you & Gabe! May your guys' future dwell in happiness through God! (:
When Christ is in the center of a relationship it helps. I was 19 when my husband proposed. We got married exactly 6 months from our first date. We heard everything about how it wouldn't work. God is the key. My husband and I will be married 21 years in a few months. We have 4 beautiful kids and he is my best friend.
You don't know how AMAZING it is to see a young engaged couple on TH-cam that's truly walking with Jesus...I just stumbled upon y'alls videos, but I'm so happy for y'all! Definitely subscribing and excited to see your engagement journey! Sending so much love to you both
I'm 21, & just celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary in June. I feel like being married young gets a lot of criticism, but I love it & couldn't be happier. congratulations to you both!
My parents got married after 7 months of meeting and are still married, 15 years so far and many more to come. May God bless Jess and Gabriel with a wonderful marriage
You guys started dating. Me:single. You guys got engaged. Me: still single. You guys have your wedding. Me: still single. You guys have kids. Me: STILL SINGLE! Your kids have kids. Me : AHHHHHHHHH!! HOW AM I STILL SINGLE?!? That is my life planed out😊😊😊
I've been in your shoes. Some advice: My partner is Australian, and I'm American. It is heaps easier on you both for Gabriel to move to Australia and work on getting citizenship so you guys can stay together without worrying about deportation. It's only about a 1-2 year process if married in Aus. It's way harder for you if you go to the USA and try to gain citizenship. Trust me, we tried. The USA can remove or deny you at any time at ports of entry and it's really scary. So my partner and I decided it's much more secure having myself move to AUS. Also, free healthcare here and better food standards. And I'm in American. Hope I could help. Ps congrats on your engagement! 👍🏼❤️
Congratulations to you both! My husband and I are newlyweds (8 months now!) and we're 21 and 22. We dated for 5 months before he proposed, and were married 7 months later. We've had some skeptics because of how young we are and how quickly we moved, but we literally just knew. We felt peace about it, and God was part of it every step of the way, and the people who really knew us were so supportive. Recently, I moved with him from NY to GA so he could go to school, and it was a big step for us. It was scary for me because all my family and friends since birth are in NY, but it's part of the adventure, and you can do it! Anyway, just wanna encourage you both that marriage is hard sometimes but it's so so awesome and y'all are gonna love it. If you keep God the center, have a selfless attitude, and keep communication open, your marriage will be beautiful and anointed and the best part of your life! My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Blessings to you guys! ❤️
I am not religious, but I did get married quickly and young as well. Our first date to wedding was 6 months & 10 days. I was 20 and he was 22. We have been together 5 almost 6 years. You just know when you know, but you do face a lot of adversity.
+Lindsay Sorensen yes, girl!! congratulations on your time together! I have non religious friends who've gotten married young and done great with it. it really is about who you're with, your maturity level, and your mentality going into it. I hate how much flack people get for doing it young. First of all, it's not their decision. But really, I think the reason why people have a hard time understanding getting married young is because they have a selfish mentality about it like "I wanna be able to do whatever whenever with whoever" and they just don't understand people who don't think like that. But I don't wanna do whatever whenever with whoever. I wanna do life with my husband, and I don't feel like I settled. Marriage isn't prison. It's wonderful. And it doesn't stunt personal growth, it encourages it. It really is all about your attitude and who you are as a person. I'm so glad you've gotten to do life with your husband and that your marriage is going strong!
congrats to you too and agreed. I hate the analogy that its like leaving a party before it begins, when I see it as starting a better one. I can travel I can go to college I can do whatever I want and I can do while married. I feel better in myself and life knowing that someone is there with me who I can trust and who will be there for life. Best Wishes to you too, being newlyweds is amazing, but it is not without challenges. You will go far and do great things :)
I got engaged just before my 19th birthday and married my high school sweetheart at 20. People said we were too young but as you guys said, when you know, you know! Married almost 5 years and have a gorgeous son now. God has really blessed me as He has you! Congratulations!
Thanks for answering my question. You guys are such a great couple. You can really tell that God is in the center of your relationship. So happy for you two!
I was engaged at 20 and married to my high school sweetheart at 21 years old. I had people ask me if it was a shotgun wedding (I didn't even know at the time what that meant), some people were a bit funny about it but we had been together for 5 years so we were pretty confident we knew eachother well enough! haha! 14 years later we are more in love than ever. We had a good foundation of friendship and also our relationship with God. When I look back and see how God has changed us and guided us it amazes me. We were so so young and yet we have grown together so well and His hand has truly guided our path. I didnt think much about the prayers prayed over us on our wedding day but now looking back.. wow. We are expecting out 3rd child in 3 weeks and we have been together for almost 20 years. We have grown up together and I wouldn't change a single minute of it.
My friends got married after 3 months of dating and have been together for 2-3 years now and I don't see their marital status changing in the near future (or ever). Congratulations on your wedding! Hope you guys have the happiest married life!
Not many you tubers show there faith in their vidios and for the fact that you show that in almost every one, that is what makes me keep coming back to watch you guys never be afraid to show your faith. I love you guys.
ignore hate about getting married young. me and my hubby were 18 and 19 when got married AND had a baby girl. 7 years later and were even happier than ever with a total of three daughters. we are extremely happy and we got alot of haters telling us we were throwing our lives away. we feel like it was the best thing we have ever done. we both are debt free, have Incredible careers and a home, two vehicles, and happy kids. just becuz we are young doesn't mean we're moocher either which was a big thing people said we were doing by being teens parents and marry so soon. you guys are sweet. your wedding was gorgeous and I wish you both the very best.
I got married at 19 :-) I'm now 24 still happily married and two beautiful little boys. I guess my only question is why aren't you staying in Australia? Isn't Australia better then America Lololol.
Australia is by no means perfect, as isn't every country (although Netherlands come pretty damn close), we have amazing healthcare, very efficient gun control, cleaner air and less pollution, affordable tertiary education system (where did you did your "fact" of a failing education system?), cleaner food with meat being mostly grass-fed, sugars are from sugar cane not corn starches, and much stricter regulations on food and medications than the US
***** I also have a masters from a "reputable university", also let me just easily Google that information, because a random Google search on failing Australian education would bring up so many reliable resources :P Pretty sure no reputable scholar would use Google for their sources. Just because you're tired of the U.S. being compared to Australia, doesn't mean you need to frame Australia in a bad light. Hate builds hate. I said in my comment that Aus isn't perfect, note how I didn't bring up failings of the U.S., because it's pointless to compare the two countries in such a way.
I got engaged at 20 and married at 21 and it was the best thing that's happened in my life. Im 24 now and we are so happy and we love our 1 year old son just so much. We thank God everyday for each other. God bless you guys. I'm so excited to see your love grow!
Yeah. :( Home sickness can be tough. I lived 10hrs away from my family for 2 years and I missed them tremendously. I was so glad when I got to fly home to visit them. Hopefully you will be able to fly to Australia from time to time to visit your family.
this is my 4th trip to America now so its been really good for me to ease into it! i go for a month at a time so i've learnt how to deal with it which is a blessing!
Mkay. That makes sense. Slowly easing into things. Technology is definetly a blessing now days too with Skype and FaceTime. I know some people who daily vlog too, as a way to stay in touch with family far away and to let them know what they are up to.
I hope you guys are aware of the visa process required if Jess wants to move to the U.S while you are both engaged/going to be getting married soon. I'm Australian and my fiance is American. The process can take up to 6 months. I'll be getting my visa by the end of the year, and will be getting married on that, which gives me a 2 year green card to live in the US. Unfortunately it's not as simple as "we're going to get married and 'x' person is going to move to the US" as the US has strict and tedious processes you must go through. I'm 21 and have been engaged since february, long distance for 3 years Australia to the USA. Please look up K1 VISA or the spousal visa (I think CR1).
wherevershegoes I did! I got married about a month ago, and have officially moved. I got my ssn in the mail about a week ago and I should be starting the process to get my green card soon. I really hope they answer how she moved - she didn't come via some sort of university visa, it's possible they did the K1 and just did a ceremony in Australia and legal marriage in the US. They can't have done a CR1 since she's already moved and they only got married recently. I really hope they address it, as it's sort of misleading for viewers to think that is as easy as saying you want to move and then just flying over with your belongings. We definitely don't get to skip the visa process just because we're Australian. It's still as tedious and long. The process for me took 5 months. Check out reddit.com/r/longdistance, there are tons of people who have been in the same situation who can help you out. My username is Stelare if you need any specific help on what to do in Australia for the K1!
Thank you! And it's so nice to be able to read stories from people who go through the same thing, or have advice to give on it -- I know that people who haven't dealt with being in such long distance relationships sometimes don't understand the struggle, or undermine our feelings. And my bad! However no matter the country, it's still pretty much the same if you have a partner residing in the US and the end goal is to live together in the US. And yeah, I just can't figure it out. I mean.. if they did do a K1.. that means that 6 months into their relationship, they started the process (since they've been together a year, right?). Which is soooo early into a relationship to be doing something like that - but to each their own! It's just such a big thing to think about so early into a relationship. I wish that visa processes for LDR's were talked about more - when my husband and I first started, we were so confused and had no idea where to start. Thankfully I made friends with someone in the LDR Reddit community who helped us out a lot. It would be so good for them to talk about it, as they do have a wide audience and I'm sure they have a lot of viewers in international LDRs. Thank you again! And good luck for when you start the process - if you ever need help, be sure to ask.
I love how you guys got engaged at 20 and are now married, as well as putting God first. I too got engaged at 20 and got married when I was 21. It’s so great to see other young married couple!!!
I don't think y'all rushed.😁 even if I don't know you in person but I can't wait to see pictures from the wedding.💁🏽 Y'all are so cute together😌 ilysm😚😍
I think it is so awesome that you guys are waiting to move in together until your married. My bf and I are also waiting. It's such a blessing on your marriage and an honor to God. So refreshing to see a couple going against the grain. I have dealt with the same criticisms as well but the people who love and support you, and your faith are the most important things. God bless you both!
honestly, I was in the same boat as you until recently. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 months, and are planning on being engaged by the end of next month. I didn't ever think you could truly know someone or know if they were right for you until you had been together for years, but i'm telling you, when you know, you know. As cliche and over used as that is. I think especially with a couple that is choosing to keep God in the center, and are following Him and pursuing him independently and together, that really helps strengthen the relationship and allow you to see God's hand in the relationship.
My parent got married after knowing each other 9 months and my mom was pregnant with my oldest brother at the time she was 24 and my dad was 32 and they've been married 30 years in January, so I'm sure you guys will be really happy too 😊
I'm also in a long distance relationship (Australia - Brazil). It's been long distance since the start asweel because we met during a sky trip in New Zealand and I feel your pain it is incredibly hard. Specially because due to me being at uni and his work commitments we can only see each other for about 40days after 4 and a half months apart. We have also come up with the same solution as you guys - if we are commited enough to go through the distance then why wait to get married right haha So yeah, finding your channel was honestly a blessing - it is very nice seeing another couple making it work through the distance
+Jess Bauer same thing happen to me,,i told my boyfriend then husband wat kind of engagement ring i want..hehehe.. so happy for both of u 😍😍😍 im a fan from the Philippines..
That makes me excited because I have been showing my boyfriend rings and he asks for pictures of engagement rings that I love.. I hope he asks me soon too! So happy for the both of you!!!
My husband is german and I'm mexican, we got married when I was 21 and he 27. The cultural differences are huge but that is what makes our relationship so special. I wish you the best.
if you guys get married, and settle to buy a house, who is moving? Is Jess going to move to America, or is Gabriel moving to Australia? It seems hard to be long distance :/
To be honest, I do only know you for your TH-cam videos and your relationship, in videos wherein you're together. But I don't think getting married or wanting to get married is based on how long you've been together. If it feels right, then it's right. If other people think it's a mistake, well then it's Jess and Gabriel's mistake to make. But for me, I'm on that majority that thinks this is a good thing. I don't think it's rushed. There's just that intuition that you both were made for each other. If you love each other, time doesn't define what could go wrong, experience does. And if everything you've done together has lead you to this point, call me blind, but I just don't see that bad side. Good luck, Jess and Gabe on your journey together. There's no greater relationship than putting God in the middle. This life has nothing on you. You got this! 👌👌👌
thankyou for being role models for purity and christian relationships! I admire you both, and I can't wait 'till God present me mine. :) I mean, i'm older than you guys but I'm not ready yet! :D so yeah! I'm so happy for you guys! I can't wait to see the wedding footage!
I got engaged and 20 and married at 21 even tho we've only been married 2 years it feels like a life time! All you need to know is if he is the one for you. I love my husband and always will ❤️ so happy for you both!
honestly at first i was jealous the fact that they are engaged at such a young age. but then again after watching you guys, it made me realised that you guys got into this relationship for a purpose. and it is literally relationship goals. love the fact that you guys go to church together and yass definitely the man you're going to marry. congrats guys love you both
feel free to not answer if this is too personal but do you guys sleep in seperate bedrooms before you're married because of your beliefs? Can't wait for the wedding videos!
My boyfriend is an American but he lives in Germany.....I live in Thailand and distance thing is difficult however he's coming see me on December and I can't wait to be with him .....I really enjoy watching your videos ....you guys are the cutest couple :)
my husband and I were married at 20 and our anniversary is actually next week. Getting married young is the greatest thing we've ever done because we get to spend that much more time together until forever! I am very happy for you both!!
to be honest I'm always skeptical about marrying young, but I can tell that you two are perfect for each other. I appreciate how you have incorporated God into you life and your relationship and it is a breath of fresh air. May god bless your marriage and your life together. 💙
I feel so privileged to have watched you both on your journeys separately and now witnessing you together as one!! I've always trusted in God to lead my life & I am genuinely happy that God is the center of your relationship! May you constantly find love and comfort in each other. I love you both
Still, Being a Christian is not the same is being religious. Being religious is practicing rituals and all that. But being a Christian is having a close relationship with God.
Lois Danielle-.- that aint making sense does it? They do practise what their religion tells them, so they ARE religious. You can be a christian and not being religious. Being religious is having priorities and follow them in the name of what you believe in.
^^^ For the same reason The Economist uses the Big Mac Index to analyse a country's economic purchasing power. A lot of people in Western societies define their life by consumer goods and the prospect of consumer goods being a hell of a lot cheaper in the United States compared to Australia can be an apt measurement of cost of living. Cost of living is not just groceries and accommodation expenses; it contains within it anything which is purchased to maintain what a society deems a 'normalised standard of living'. Consumer goods fit into that.
I am so proud of you. I'm the girl who sees herself getting married at 30 or even more, but I know for you two, God is at the center of your relationship and you do everything in His time. 20 is young for me, but others, it's just the right time for them. also, a lot of parents (my friends' parents) got married when they're 20 in the 1980s, it's not really that young at all. I'm happy how you both choose to be happy and not care about what people say. and that you got married before doing the marriage life first. Thank you for being a godly example, we need more people like you who show the internet that Christianity is the sweetest thing in life, and not something to be ashamed of or something that takes life away from life. rather it makes life worth living every second, no matter how hard it gets. You guys are forever personified. I love how in your relationship, Jesus is glorified. :)
she is sooo lucky !! Gab is literally boyfriend material. he's sweat, romantic, a true gentleman, loves her so much, he's matured and not like almost every guy at his age, he hates lying to her even if he's gonna surprise her, he cried so much at their wedding. Obviously he's a lucky man as well. they're perfect for each other. I hope they're together forever.
Oh my goodness he asked to hold her hand. I'm sorry but that is seriously really sweet. True gentleman right there.
I also do couple videos go check my channel out!

i really don't see the big deal about getting married at 20-21. I think that if you're ready and it's the right person than why wait?

i understand what you mean but I don't think that's their case (atleast I hope not) they seem really happy and ready for marriage
urdedfrit Yeah but it's different in Christians couples ... they're stronger because of God that keeps them together ;)
+Julia Ganau hate to burst your bubble (I'm also Christian, Catholic actually (agnostic)) but there are plenty of Christians that get divorced and oftentimes the reason has nothing to do with God

why does everyone think that marriage is basically prison? if you're married at a young age and wish to continue pursuing your dreams, you may. you don't have to start popping children just because you two have decided to sign a piece of paper.
finally someone said it
I think that depends on every person! Been married doesn't mean that you have to give up on everything, specially if you are with the right person...

My mum and dad was married at 21 & 23, And they've just celebrated 30 years.
I'm so happy for you both. Ignore all the hate saying your wasting your life etc... I love you both so much, I really hope your relationships lasts long term ❤️❤️
Mine have just celebrated 25! on what day did your parents get married?
Vicki Eley my parents got together at 18 & 22, been kicking for 31 years
My parents were 25 and 31 and have been married 20 years now. My mum was 19 when they started dating
Is it because they had you? "Mommy's little mistake" ? Or was there a previous mistake before you?
orasis why do you feel the need to be an ass? go elsewhere.
I was engaged at 19 and married at 21, we have been together for 7 years and married for 3. Congratulations to you both 😄😄😄

We have been together over 5 years and we are going strong. Age doesn't dictate success. Communication is key, and you will go far.
Love this!

Engaged after a month?! i can't even stay talking to someone for that long😭I always find something about them that makes me know they're not the one. (btw i've only spoke to like 4 people in my life😂)

Benefits of Christians marrying at 18-19: *cough* no waiting for sex *cough*
That's sweet. God bless u and your family. I totally support marriage at young age
Getting married at 20 isn't that bad especially if you are with the right person. My parents got married at 22 and they're celebrating their 21st aniversary in November. So good luck to you guys, hope the both of you enjoy the rest of your lives together 😊
You can't compare old generation and the present generation. It's way different.
100% ...I got married when I was 20 n that was 1989 until my hubby got called back home almost 25 years later...love you guys
+Sheera Abd all he is trying to say is if u know u know

Exactly.
My fiancé and I are also Christians and also 20 and we are getting married in Australia in October...if you were both interested incoming to the wedding that would be awesome, would be great to have another young Christian couple there! This is so awesome. I feel like it's so rare to find Christian couples with God in the center of the relationship these days.

Hi Jess and Gabe,
Just wanted to say how incredibly full my heart is to see you guys standing firm in not living marriage life without being married.
Yeeees, girl!!!
Best comment ever!!!

I got engaged at 21, married at 22 and we're celebrating our 5th anniversary in October, more in love than ever :) xo
OML cutest freaking couple ever!!!!!!! Like seriously my goodness gracious!

story of my lifeee lol
soooo me hahaha
+Lindsay Sorensen girl, I completely agree. It's hard but it's the best thing I've ever done. Thank you so much! Best wishes to you, too. :)
not a problem :) & thank you :)
my parents got married at 20 and they just celebrated 20years and are still together despite a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis 6 years ago
Sierra Shein wow true love right there that's beautiful
So cute that you guys mention about God's plan etc. :) Keep up the faith! Your chemistry is so great together, haha.
Props to you guys tbh 👏🏼

You are so beautiful Jess!!! And you both are so cute! Congrats on you engagement 😍😍
And hello from the snapfam 💛
When u blink together you stay together ❤️😂.
Oh and u should end ur daily vlog by doing ur secret handshake and jumping off the screen like gab did here
I got engaged just before my 19th birthday and married my high school sweetheart at 20. People said we were too young but as you guys said, when you know, you know! Married almost 5 years and have a gorgeous son now. God has really blessed me as He has you!
Congratulations!
I got engaged at 18. Got married at 19. I am 23 now and we are making big plans for our lives !! Enjoying our marriage.
That's amazing!!
I think most people are more concerned about the fact that you've only been dating for 6 months before getting engaged rather than your age
My parents got engaged after 3 months of dating :) they've been together 23 years :) :) :)
My husband and I got married after 4 months of dating :) 2.5 years of marriage and could not be happier that we said yes when God said move x
My friends got married after 3 months of dating and have been together for 2-3 years now and I don't see their marital status changing in the near future (or ever).
Congratulations on your wedding! Hope you guys have the happiest married life!
Jess Conte that's amazing actually.
mine got engaged after 2 months. 22 years strong 😘
Thank you for uploading even though it is after 1am there and you are probably really tired, exhausted, and jet lagged. We appreciate it.
of course!!!
Youre so lucky 😭😭😭😭
:)
I got married at 19 :-) I'm now 24 still happily married and two beautiful little boys. I guess my only question is why aren't you staying in Australia? Isn't Australia better then America Lololol.
Evidently not.
America is cheaper to live in
Australia is by no means perfect, as isn't every country (although Netherlands come pretty damn close), we have amazing healthcare, very efficient gun control, cleaner air and less pollution, affordable tertiary education system (where did you did your "fact" of a failing education system?), cleaner food with meat being mostly grass-fed, sugars are from sugar cane not corn starches, and much stricter regulations on food and medications than the US
***** I also have a masters from a "reputable university", also let me just easily Google that information, because a random Google search on failing Australian education would bring up so many reliable resources :P Pretty sure no reputable scholar would use Google for their sources.
It's because she'd follow him anywhere
My gran and grandad got married at 17 and are still together for over 40 years
Yes that's amazing 😊🙌🏼
Good luck to you wish you both the best and hello from Scotland
+Jess Bauer Don't worry you will too.
that's awesome! ❤
I got engaged at 20 and married at 21 and it was the best thing that's happened in my life. Im 24 now and we are so happy and we love our 1 year old son just so much. We thank God everyday for each other. God bless you guys. I'm so excited to see your love grow!
No wonder you guys are blessed. You made God the center of your relationship 🙌🏻 keep strong 💞
I have never been so early. Not even for class. 💚💚💚
same 😂😂
ikr
Sameee
hahaha!!!
+Jess Bauer you replied omg 😘💖
It’s so great to see other young married couple!!!
i just got engaged a few months ago on my 20th bday!!!
I still see Selena Gomez lol... I can't be the only one
you gus were meant for each other..
definitely :)
I love you xx
Congrats!! I wish you both a happy life and a blessed marriage ♡ love you!!!
i love u both!!! congrats!!
You guys are just perfect for each other and now that you two are married it just makes me so much happier.
crazy that you guys have only been together for a few months!! but if you've found the one, then why wait right??
How do you even REALLY know someone after only a few months though.. I didn't really know my boyfriend until maybe 3-4 years in.
honestly, I was in the same boat as you until recently. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 months, and are planning on being engaged by the end of next month. I didn't ever think you could truly know someone or know if they were right for you until you had been together for years, but i'm telling you, when you know, you know. As cliche and over used as that is.
I think especially with a couple that is choosing to keep God in the center, and are following Him and pursuing him independently and together, that really helps strengthen the relationship and allow you to see God's hand in the relationship.
my parents got married after knowing eachother for 6 months and they are still married 20 years later hehe
I can't wait for the day when your kids gonna see this video 😍
You guys deserve eachother and you're so cute. Love you guys #snapchatfam 💜❤️👏🏻
Totally meant for eachother #godblessyouboth 👍🏻😭
My parent got married after knowing each other 9 months and my mom was pregnant with my oldest brother at the time she was 24 and my dad was 32 and they've been married 30 years in January, so I'm sure you guys will be really happy too 😊
my sister got married last year at 18.. i think it's great when you meet the love of your life and want to get married!! so much love for you guys❤️
We have also come up with the same solution as you guys - if we are commited enough to go through the distance then why wait to get married right haha
So yeah, finding your channel was honestly a blessing - it is very nice seeing another couple making it work through the distance
Absolutely lost it at "what does this have to do with being engaged?" HAHA! Too cute!! Congratulations, and best wishes!!
How did you not know it was coming if you got to 'pick' a ring? Curious :)
Knew it was happening eventually - just didn't think that soon!
+Jess Bauer
same thing happen to me,,i told my boyfriend then husband wat kind of engagement ring i want..hehehe..
so happy for both of u 😍😍😍 im a fan from the Philippines..
good question, same!
That makes me excited because I have been showing my boyfriend rings and he asks for pictures of engagement rings that I love.. I hope he asks me soon too! So happy for the both of you!!!
I hope he does too Kasey :)
My husband is german and I'm mexican, we got married when I was 21 and he 27. The cultural differences are huge but that is what makes our relationship so special. I wish you the best.
You two are such a genuine couple, and I love that you include God in your relationship! Bless your marriage, so happy for you both!
if you guys get married, and settle to buy a house, who is moving? Is Jess going to move to America, or is Gabriel moving to Australia? It seems hard to be long distance :/
The US - she's says it mid way in the video. :)
I love my husband and always will ❤️ so happy for you both!
honestly at first i was jealous the fact that they are engaged at such a young age. but then again after watching you guys, it made me realised that you guys got into this relationship for a purpose. and it is literally relationship goals. love the fact that you guys go to church together and yass definitely the man you're going to marry. congrats guys love you both
Who ever is reading this comment i hope u have a fun and wonderful day :)
thankyou
thanks dude I appreciate it
#goalch
Thanks man same to you
How sweet, You too :D
"I was trying to dab babe. Come on." GOALS😍😍
So happy for both of you. May God Bless your relationship more 💖 Love you both!
#SNAPFAM
I follow your journey since almost the beginning, and TH-cam put this video in my recommendations today 😭 they're babies here
Yay for young engaged couples! I'm 20 and I just got engaged 3 months ago and I'm SO excited to get married in September!:)
The haters are probably girls who wish they were jess who gets to marry gabe LOL
😂🙌🏼
+Jess Bauer ily sooooo much💗
Jess Bauer I love you so much and I'm Aussie where do you live in Australia
feel free to not answer if this is too personal but do you guys sleep in seperate bedrooms before you're married because of your beliefs? Can't wait for the wedding videos!
I was wondering too :)
Yep +Jordan H due to their beliefs they don't sleep together before marriage. Only after😊
Was also curious :) would be such a great testimony
I saw there video during their visit to Gabe's fam, Claudio, Gabriel's brother left a note "3 feet for Jesus" between 2 beds. So I guess they are :)
It makes sense, and honestly, it's kind of refreshing these days. I'm not a religious person, but it's good to see that people stick by their beliefs.
My boyfriend is an American but he lives in Germany.....I live in Thailand and distance thing is difficult however he's coming see me on December and I can't wait to be with him .....I really enjoy watching your videos ....you guys are the cutest couple :)
OBSESSED WITH JESS AND GABRIEL!!
YALL ARE GOOAAALLLSSS
my husband and I were married at 20 and our anniversary is actually next week. Getting married young is the greatest thing we've ever done because we get to spend that much more time together until forever! I am very happy for you both!!
Whoever is reading this, I hope you have a great day and you are beautiful so don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!
holly samsonovicz and you are too!!
Hey it's 3 years later thankssss
I love that u guys don't care what the haters think you guys are a great couple
Please do a tutorial on how u do your side braids!!!😻😻😻
to be honest I'm always skeptical about marrying young, but I can tell that you two are perfect for each other.
I love you both
Congrats!! What made you want to move to the states instead of Gabriel moving to Australia? Also how come you guys don't want to live together first?
Cause theyre religious
Well not religious, but Chrisitan
Lois Danielle When you are a practising Christian, you are religious.
When you guys do get married will you be living in America or Australia? Or still in your own countries
she said that she was moving to the US
America is way cheaper to live in, we pay $90 for standard Vans 😑
Why the fuck would you use 'vans' as a measurement of cost of living
lmao
^^^ For the same reason The Economist uses the Big Mac Index to analyse a country's economic purchasing power. A lot of people in Western societies define their life by consumer goods and the prospect of consumer goods being a hell of a lot cheaper in the United States compared to Australia can be an apt measurement of cost of living. Cost of living is not just groceries and accommodation expenses; it contains within it anything which is purchased to maintain what a society deems a 'normalised standard of living'. Consumer goods fit into that.
I dont understand, jess said she picked the ring she wanted so that means she knew about the proposal?
she knew it was going to happen eventually but not so soon
I'm sure they talked about it a lot. She just didn't know the specific day he was going to ask.
