      I have 3 networks at home. 1 for the backyard, 1 for the frontyard and 1 for the rest of the house. Can I program each of my wyze plugs to different network depending where they are located at?

      @@alexanderng354 great question! We actually have an Ask SafeWise coming in January on that same topic. I don't have an answer for you yet, but stay tuned

    I purchased the 2021 smart home starter pack and the problem I am having is I only see the 5 ghz wifi. I do not have the 2.4 ghz wifi selection.

    Why would it connect to 5 GHz if it doesn't even work in that frequency? This is a huge flaw and unacceptable.

    Need to add a segment on how to setup the plug for a schedule like for a plant light to come on at 8 am and go off at 8 PM. Otherwise good presentation.

    Any ideas how to setup Wyze Plug at two different locations. Example: office at 100 main and home at 900 south.

      That's a great question, Daniel Casciato! It's doable, but you might have to make different accounts or logins. Stick around! We'll do this for an Ask Safewise video!

    Hi, I have been using my plug to control window lights and things were fine. Now I want to use my 2nd plug and I am running into problems setting it up, It seems that I am confusing the "rules" between the plugs. I am basically using both as timers to turn lights on and off, but now even my original doesn't come on. Where did I go wrong?

      These things can definitely get tangled, can't they! When you go into the Wyze app, you should see all your individual products. Be sure to give your plugs unique names to avoid confusion. If you select one of your plugs and add rules, that should work for just that one. But if you edit rules from that home screen, it might affect both of them. Hope that helps! Let us know if there's still an issue :)

    Mine still isn’t transmitting it’s own Wi-Fi so I can’t connect it or find it with my phone to connect it

      Strange! Could it be using Bluetooth instead or is it an older version?

    "and stay safe" but you show a non-grounded outlet and a scary non-grounded adapter being plugged into it to be able to use a grounded product. Um...

    The 2.4ghz thing trips me up every time.

    • @asksafewise
      @asksafewise  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So relateable, @Tyler Young! It's easy to forget, but if you haven't renamed your Wi-Fi network, sometimes you'll see a 2.4 or 5 in the name that might indicate which one you're connecting to.

    That's cute, "it makes this awesome clicking sound..." Um, yeah that isn't awesome, it's a mechanical switch inside the unit (relay) that is being switched on to power the device plugged into the that WYZE 'smart' plug. Mechanical relays are old as the hills and cheap as dirt, the noise is a byproduct of old technology. Sorry, not cute but sad for a smart product these days. :(
