Wyze really thought this through. If you don't have the app, there is a physical button or you could use a voice assistant, like a nest mini, and there's also set times, and the watches can turn them on too. Very good.
omfg i had my ear buds inside my ears and volume was up just a little bit,so when i clicked to play your video, your whats up scream out of no where fucking almost gave me a stroke and murdered my hearing, thanks a god dam lot fuckkkkk
You just answered my question with your video. I was wondering if you could plug it into an extension cord or does it have to be plugged into the actual wall outlet?
You can control it through Alexa, Denny! Which I love! Name the plug, add the Wyze function to Alexa, and I can say, Turn off Christmas Tree, or Turn on Basement Lamp. I love it!
If you have trouble and keep getting "Connection Failed" when syncing your phone with the plug, try updating the app if youve had the app on your phone for awhile. This worked for me. It didnt work until I did the phone app update.
I agree with tjk100 I can't get past step 4. I saw the same screen in the video with his finger pointing to it then suddenly the picture changed and he talked about the signal the plug was putting out. I am not seeing any of that and am extremely frustrated when these videos make it seem like its a breeze. I am returning mine tomorrow.
After scheduling the plug, if I turn off the WiFi Router, will it still work? I mean will the Wyze Plug continue with its set schedule or does it need to be always connected to the Internet to work?
Why not just use a home assistant like Google Home? That way you don't have to care what brand/app the devices are tied to. Just ask your assistant to turn them on or off
Whoa, whoa: not so fast. I set up my first Smart Plug BUT plug 02, 03 04 were problems. Many attaempts before each one got setup. Now scheduling on/off. I can set up only one of the four plugs to turn on/off. Spent 2 hours with Wyze Chat Tech - she could not fix. Went to the Wyze Forum. Both setup and scheduling are known issues to Wyze. No fix available at this time. Good luck if you buy them.
tjk100 wish I saw this before I purchased a set. I was looking forward to making great use of these but I will be returning them. Tried multiple times to connect them with no luck. IlI WOULDN’T SUGGEST ANYONE TO BUY THESE. THEY SUCK

I use it with an extension cord a lot, David!
Mine doesn't go off. Any advice
Can it be voice activated?

Mine will not connect!...?? Tried resetting router, as per app...?
At 3:06 I saw your phone say “can’t connect “. Did you have to try multiple times to get it to connect?
I was trying to pause to see if that was the error, which is the same issue I'm having.
I did
At 5:10 Correction> you need to create separate On and Off schedules or it will not work - the app is not clearly layout
Can you turn on the vacation time on during certain part of the days? Like during working hours?

this guy only knows how to fuck up your hearing
Can I plug in both Smart Plug's into a single wall outlet at the same time?
Yes. I should’ve shown that but that’s the genius of the square shape

I think the scheduling is managed into he cloud and sends a signal to turn on or off. I think. So I think it needs to be in WiFi coverage.
@@petervonpanda Oh, in that case its not what I need. Thanks for the reply!
Why don't you go a little bit faster in the setup for us un techie types.
