Wow, my respects to all the investigators, police officers and everybody involved in solving this case. They really did a wonderful job. So sorry that the victims had to die like that. So many sick people in this world, 🤦♀️.

There was a case in California several years ago where a policewoman killed her ex-boyfriend's wife. After years of investigation the killer was brought to justice. She had even made it to Police Captain by the time she was finally brought to justice. She was very powerful in her department. That's the reason it took years of investigation by honest police officers who knew from the beginning she was lying. In the end she could not refute her lies.
Haydee Maldonado Your respects are somewhat misdirected. This case was NEVER solved. They managed to put someone in prison, yeah, but that someone was railroaded. To say it was "solved" is an error. No doubt this biased video above being a major factor in helping your misplaced opinion. The investigating authorities (and DA's office) were incompetent and corrupt. If anyone had to be locked up, it should have been those involved in the investigation. And if you are referring to the person who's been convicted as being "sick", perhaps you should have yourself checked out for some sort of brain malfunction. Get ALL the facts about this case before you comment. There are other videos and a book which portray a fair and honest account relating to this case.

As an Attorney (if indeed you are one), I find it extremely surprising you should post such a statement, without having any real knowledge of this case. I'm pretty sure I'm right with this assumption. Are you aware there are several documentaries -- audio and video -- as well as a book, making a case for her innocence? Learn ALL the facts about this case before you continue with your high and mighty attitude and your high praise of those who've done nothing but help in imprisoning an innocent person.

Your thanks is disgracefully misplaced with your assumption. If God did have anything to do with this case, justice would have been served and she would not have even gone to trial.... the cops and prosecution made sure of that. They were totally and sinfully corrupt. You ought to make yourself more familiar with this case by reading the book, Convenient Suspect, and watch some of the documentaries which show her to be innocent.

One common thing i notice about murder cases that involve the death of a baby or small child -- many people often say that the murderer deserve the death penalty. ( i often see crimes stories from different countries & read the comments) Doesnt matter which country or continent: america, europe , asia , africa etc -- most people feel that such killers should be excuted. I agree by the way. Just pointing this out in spite of so called human rights groups demanding most countries to remove the death penalty - the truth is: in our hearts as humans we know some crimes are punisable by death. Hubby had no idea that the woman was obsessed over him. Guess he was a really good man. I hope he is in recovery and that the killer never sees beyond a prison wall. What a ruin of 4 lives, including her own. Horses, dancing lessons, good health and she couldn't just be happy and let go.

Because whatever your source is, it seems to be woefully short of ALL the facts, especially if your opinion is based on this video above. If you took the trouble to learn ALL the facts you would in all probability have a different opinion. You talk about 4 lives being ruined, including her own. You're right about, including her own.... but that ruin has been brought about by the cops and prosecution targeting an innocent person using corruption and evidence tampering as their tools. You asking for her to be in prison never to see beyond its walls.... Consider that your sister, mother or daughter who could've been in that situation, because that's exactly how it was with Rorrer. Another case of great crime solving! The FBI and detectives shoulld be awarded high tributes for what seemed an impossible case to break.
Tears pouring from eyes. My son is 5 months older than Alex and he is 27 now. I cannot imagine the kidnap scene. Really a sick woman. I believe in GOD and His judgement. Very proud of FBI work in this case.

There are so many people I don’t understand. Joanne’s mother-in-law gets the call saying she and Bub are ready and leaving ‘now’, but they never arrive. MIL. apparently did try calling a couple of times, and then, what? Wasn’t she worried about a car accident? Wouldn’t you call police? Or drive, or get a lift to Joanne and Mark’s house?
Then the man who watched a young mother and her baby being assaulted and pushed into bushes? He even said she seemed scared, but he did nothing.
And then husband Andy. At least two hours before he even called his mother? It’s not said what time Joanne was to leave, but it *was* morning. That’s an awfully long day with a baby. So why wasn’t he at least slightly worried?

This was so devastating for Andy during the Holidays, when this Crazy woman Kidnapped & Murdered Joann Katrinak and their 4-month-old son, Alex just 10days before Christmas in December 1994. My heart goes out to Joann's family, her husband Andy, and his Mom who was excited & waiting to spend time with little Alex & his Mom at the Mall Christmas Shopping and hanging out. Joann wanted to get a special Gift for Andy. Instead, he and the whole family received this Nightmare from a Jealous ex. Glad she didn't get to raise & be with her own baby. She took away Andy's and didn't deserve that Privilege & blessing in life.

The fact that the baby was found on top of his mom is enough to confirm that the baby was dead by the time she left the scene. A 4 months old baby would definitely move off his mom and would actually not stop moving at this age if he was still alive. What a heartless woman!

Yes it’s very true even on small stuff. I used to take my baby to a park near by and they had a set of swings for babies and toddlers that said limited to kids less than 35 pounds each. One day the park was full and there were teenagers bigger than me swinging on those swings meant for babies and toddlers and no one said any thing to them. I went there and asked them to move. They did actually. But that could have endangered the life of other babies and toddlers if the swing became lose or something because no one wanted to say anything. After that, I started to check the swings before setting my baby in them. Most people there were with babies, toddlers and kids but avoid saying anything. It’s really strange.
One of the best episodes.... excellent work by the FBI in nailing this insane woman's ass. And so sad for the husband. I hope he has been able to move on and have a full life.

Total monster and the sick part is she has a baby. It just makes me sad that not only was an innocent woman killed, but her innocent kid. She deserves what she got.

Sadly, many times people see a crime or something that they should call the police about, yet they don’t. I don’t think not wanting to get involved is any justifiable excuse when you can clearly see someone is being harmed or murdered. To me, that makes them an accessory to a crime and guilty as the person doing it. I have had this happen to me. Treat others as you want to be treated .

Doc there was No Red Flags that pointed to the Ex Girlfriend according to Andy ,However when Pat R. Ex Boyfriends were question all the red flags of Jealousy and being very vindictive were there Andy didn't put together until the Detectives Took And on a Ride where Joanne and Alex were found. He thin recalled his Ex worked in the area were they found his family.💕🙏🌹

This is one of the best episodes IMO, I love how they explain the detective works step by step, up to taking Andy to the murder area where he finally remembered about her. I'm also glad that I'm not the type to read comments before watching, because the comments can spoiled the mystery (mine included). The husband's ex-girlfriend obviously wanted him back and felt that his wife stole him from her.
Or just pride. The wife told her not to call ever again and that's what why she felt so humiliated enough to kill a new mom along with the new born baby.

Having a new relationship doesn't mean she didn't do it. It's about control and envy. She was probably envious that he made it work with a new woman and was probably upset that it wasn't her. Some women can hold onto things, not letting go, even though it looks like they've moved on
