Imagine grandmother once was to hope to hear apology accept her guilt but a lier stick to her lies. It's obvious he was in the apartment when Steven was murdered. How come he is still alive? What was his role the night of the murder? Evelyn was framed and being taken advantage of her naiveness, her being so young and lack of education, she can't even express her feelings, she can't even shed tears. On that video she looked so distraught, that her mother in law had to shake her shoulders. Evelyn's pain is overwhelming that she could not even shed tears. I know when my brother died, I wasn't able to shed tears although I was so devastated and broken. I had so much pain as I wasn't able to help him.

The murderers are nonprofessionals that's why his life was spared if they were professionals he would have been already dead long time ago together with Steven..... hmmmm.... professional killers never leave witnesses alive, but they're not, but "someone" hired some naive and uneducated relatives. The relatives are very poor they kill for money. Evelyn is the victim here. I'm not the only one who believes that Evelyn is innocent. It takes a smart and clever plan to kill a business partner. Evelyn is much less educated and very naive about life as she was very young when she married her husband.

It was very noticeable he was better looking than her and her lover. It boggles my mind that she did not reciprocate and correct her behavior after he threatened her with a divorce. Rather she plotted to get him killed.
I also noticed she was stunned after the judge sentenced her to 40 years in prison but was not stunned when conspiring the death of her husband. I smelled selfishness and narcissism on this girl.
Having a guy who earns well, now all the sudden she thought she’s high value and began looking down on her family. It doesn’t surprise me, women where i live rate themselves higher than what they’re actually are (social media). The same attitude the philippine girl was inhibiting after some time in the relationship with her husband. She’s below average. same thing with American women, the ones who are below average think their hot. Doesn’t make sense to me how a girl who’s a femcel is considered hot enough for chads and tyrones.

She looked like a kid when they got together. She's 17. And his mum is saying stuff like "He knew she wouldn't dump him because without him she wouldn't have anything." Without making any excuses for what she did, i'm wondering how the parents didn't see the completely unethical nature of the couples power dichotomy? She wasn't 20 and he was 30. Or 30 and he was 40. She was 17 and she looked 14. What she did was evil, but what he did initially is questionable also.

Thank you for bringing this up, upon hearing the intro I was horrified. He bought her and took her home with him. Everyone is praising the mom but idk I find everything so questionable. She even justified him doing that and even said she could of done the same ( bought her and others).... thats not a normal thing to say.
He was an honored gentleman and she was or still is just a trash and she will be a trash forever! He even build a house for her parents and a fishing boat and help all her family financially! But all these dirty old men running around with children and just because she's at least 17; that makes it cool: ought to be ashamed of themselves. Then he got the nerve to be upset that she didnt want him to hug her. Yuck! I wouldnt want his paws on me either. These men know good and well, they could find a nice lady in their own country! finally. I was looking for someone to comment on this. the crime committed was awful, but we do need to acknowledge that Evelyn is also a victim - not of this story, but in life. she lived with her parents in a house that was not even made of bricks! she left it in hopes to make some money and send back to her parents. she became a prostitute and was still a minor at this point! yet this man, with his white saviour syndrome, sees a completely helpless woman, BUYS HER from the bar/brothel owner, and then later even says to his friend that she is completely dependent on him? he also commited crimes: solicitation of prostitution, human trafficking when he bought her, and financial abuse within domestic violence.
of course, nothing justifies a crime, but I would hope that the judge or anyone from Steven's family, would make a comment regarding this.
either way, I only hope the kids grow up feeling loved.

When you marry the Filipina you marry the whole family and they can depend on you easily especially if she from the poorer side . I will say it's a bad situation for both parties Margaret lost her. Son Nothing you can do or say will bring him back. . But you also have to understand the situation that Evelyn was in also. She confronted her daughter-in-law in the waiting room outside the court, asking her: "Was it worth it, Evelyn?" "As I left, I said: 'I will tell your children they had a beautiful mummy who did something very bad. She took their daddy's life and she had to pay the price. Goodbye, Evelyn, I will not see you again.'" It was Margaret Davis's ultimate triumph.

I always feel so sad whenever I see mother cry, but I don’t know why I can’t even find in my heart to feel pity for Evelyn. Girls getting exploited and then ‘saved’ by a man much older that they are not attracted to or much less love. But he offers her a world much different than what she was raised in. She relents and with all the financial security, after awhile, she will want to fill her desires of a genuine attraction. It’s hard to love more than one person. One will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve love and money at the same time.
There’s a lot of successful relationships with Westerners and foreign brides. Much more than you know. Stephen wasn’t that old. He was still young. You’re just hating on the Passport Bros.
Steven would be so proud of his mother raising his 2 children she’s such an amazing grandmother and a loving soul I really hope she’s found a lot of peace in her son’s murder ❤️❤️

This Filipina destroys, all the good traits being a Filipino. Many Filipina coming from the provinces here in the Philippines, wanted to marry a foreigner, to change their lives. Then after getting married with a well stable foreign guy, this women became different, forgotten where they came from.
Am I the only one that sees him as a pedophile?? They try to portray him as naive and sheltered and not experienced but he was HIGHLY intelligent! He knew damn well those girls in the bars were underage...as well as the ones he and Mike invited to their homes for the pool parties. He married her when she was seventeen which meant he was seeing her when she was even younger than that! Thank you for saying this. I'm honestly so upset at the fact that we aren't talking about the fact that she was finally abused and controlled by him. There's hardly any commentary on the fact he was preying on under-age girls.
I also thought he likes them young when they mentioned about 12- 14 years old girls working in those bars. Inappropriate at best and Epsteinish at worst. Ick factor is strong with this one.
It doesn't make sense for an adult guy to marry such a young girl in such dire conditions. He ended up in a marriage for money. He actually bought her. I'm sure he meant well, but in Evelyn's eyes he was probably just another customer. Better to help in a different way if you can.

All the comments about how great her life was, how she was a "princess" and she threw it away just show what a distorted view we have. Being a princess even in history always meant to be living in a golden cage.

I was in the Navy and spent time in the Philippines, Subic Bay. The bar girls and bar fines are real. Absolute poverty and fathers willing to sell their daughters right there on the spot........I was young but managed to avoid that scene. I’ll never forget it though. After the Navy I got out and stayed in Japan. Family and businessman, I have met many good Filipinos and generally they are very friendly and a good people so don’t judge them on the actions of a small percentage of gold digging bar girls. This was a tragic and very avoidable situation, she really was cold and stupid.

Sorry, just wanted to view also the other side of the mirror and not only to the unfaithful wife. Maybe, he is just unfaithful and slut, but not really a criminal-minded... Maybe, she is just also another victim, a perfect tool. We didn't hear the sides of the security guard and the other said accomplice. But anyway, it seemed like the widow has accepted her fate already, probably by guilt for messing up with their marriage and now, paying the price for it.
