@@WithyBog Not just enemy density and aggression, but health, too. Something I noticed while helping friends through it after bumrushing solo Legendary on Day 1 was that a single Knight towards the end of the campaign, while challenging, wasn't exactly a threat while alone. They died easy enough. But once scaling difficulty got thrown in I was struggling to kill even one in a direct duel. Not because it was doing more damage or more aggressive, but the addition of even one other player suddenly bumped its health up so high that primary weapons weren't going to cut it anymore with Knights and the like unless you were fighting one in a solo duel or multiple people were focusing fire on a single enemy. To be completely honest I think that was my one and only gripe about Legendary difficulty. I know it's probably asking a bit too much out of an engine this old and just given the game's design philosophy and limitations, but I'll admit to wanting SMARTER enemies on higher difficulties rather than pure damage sponges. There's definitely a place for the latter but that was the one thing I found somewhat lacking - this Cabal mission? Great, probably the best encounter in the campaign, but the enemies are dumb. Really, really dumb, especially when compared to Bungie's old Halo AI. They don't use cover, they don't coordinate, and while they use suppressing fire they rarely capitalize on it by having more mobile units press you while you're pinned. It's sort of the same complain I have when it comes to Grandmasters where I'd much prefer something more akin to Halo 2 Legendary - enemies are punishing, yes, but the difficulty comes more from how they position and use abilities as opposed to just cranking up the damage numbers and modifiers until everything kills with a single shot. I don't particularly find the latter fun or all that challenging since it really just encourages players to spam distance weapons.
Did the pyramid boss of the imperial traitor, and honestly, I didn't want the boss fight to end, lowkey. Start at 0:47- start at 2:04, This shit goes hard.
This mission in Legendary felt like your fireteam fighting off actual hordes of bloodthirsty Cabals surrounding you. Legendary difficulty is the best thing they could've added to their campaigns and I wish it was done sooner. In fact most of the Cabal fights in this expansion felt like war, as they should. The Vox Obscura quest is on that level as well, with the OG Mars location and "Cabal Stomp" playing while you take down an entire base with a tank.
