Steve was literally one of the best. Neil left school at 16 to go on tour with Santana as a guitar virtuoso and is still playing today. Jonathan Cain was famous before Journey in The Babys. These guys caught lightning in a bottle during those years and killed it.
Steve is not one of the best, he IS 100% the best! THE VOICE! Only one, none like him, not now, not EVER! Even other bands, including Queen say Steve is the best!!! Love you, Stephen!!!❤❤❤
Steve was a Drummer but dabbled with other instruments like the Bass and keyboards. He said he wasn't a keyboardist but could hold his iown with certain parts to songs when a Rolie ir Cain would play Harmonica or guitar. He often stepped in for Rolie on Precipus Time during the Deiarture Tour so Rolie could jam on harmonica and then here in Stone in Love fir Cain and with Cain during Whis Crying Now and Schons solo. . Steve was an all-around musician and sound production guy even prior to joining Journey, often working in studios.
Steve Perry's vocals are great, Journey wouldn't be Journey without him. I love the energy of the guitars, and most importantly, it's a live sound, great!
The whole Houston concert was awesome! But also: Walks like a lady, Lights-Stay awhile (live Osaka 1980). More Journey with Steve Perry please (without him it's no longer Journey)
It may not have been MY suggestion, but I have recommended this song to you. Such a great rock song by Journey. Neil Schon on the guitar, Steve Perry's voice, Steve Smith on the drums, Ross Valory on the bass, and Jonathan Cain on the keyboards = 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great review Harry. 40 plus years later. This song live still sounds as beautiful as 1981. I saw them play Stone In Love last night. Let’s just say they absolutely killed it.
Neil Schon has always been my favorite guitar player in rock. I feel like he's underrated. Most folks aren't familiar with early Journey music before Steve Perry joined the band and they became a super group. If you like great guitar, check out Journey's first 3 albums. Neil Schon is unbelievable on those albums.
Great song. Journey was such a wonderful band when Steve Perry was lending his amazing pipes to their sound. Excellent choice and reaction. Thanks Harri and Louis 🌺✌️
GREAT song!!!!! My absolute favorite in the song is bassist Ross Valory!!! I believe his bass playing is the star of the song!!! He's loud and clear and perfect!!!
All right my bestie friend.... I had the privilege to see this band. The lead singer was Steve Augeri at the time, and it was still phenomenal ‼️💯🔥🎤🎸🥁🎹🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Harry, really enjoy the array of music you provide. Thank you. I recommend artist Michael Bolton title "Missing you now! I'm 68 yrs old so I'm ole school my friend.
I'm not sure you could call that "playing the keyboards" -- it looks like they had him hold down one key and repeatedly press one or two keys while Jonathan played bass.
He doesn't play piano. If you watch, he's playing that one key over and over and over again, and it's extremely annoying. Someone needs to tell him to back away from the piano slowly and nobody will get hurt.
Such the powerhouse‼️‼️‼️ Steve Perry can’t be beat‼️✌🏻😎
Steve was literally one of the best. Neil left school at 16 to go on tour with Santana as a guitar virtuoso and is still playing today. Jonathan Cain was famous before Journey in The Babys. These guys caught lightning in a bottle during those years and killed it.
Yes, indeed! If you want to play guitar with Santana when you’re still a teenager, you sure can’t be a slouch.
Steve is not one of the best, he IS 100% the best! THE VOICE! Only one, none like him, not now, not EVER! Even other bands, including Queen say Steve is the best!!!
Love you, Stephen!!!❤❤❤
I saw Journey back in the 80’s with Steve Perry one of my most memorable concerts
Daisy Dukes werent just a TV-guilty pleaure for some. One summer
Me too!
Its not just the vocals and guitar. The entire band, keys, bass and drums kill it.
This song doesn't get the props it deserves. Overshadowed by Open Arms. The outro solo is haunting!
Interesting comment…I’ve listened to this song hundreds of times…why do you use the word “haunting”?
This my favorite of Journey's many hits, Neil's solo is just killer!! ,,but not long enough!
I will never forget this night! ❤
Been there, done that twice,'82& '83, and had the t-shirts.
Oregenality absolutely amazing man The journey Man legend perry forever The Golden voice 💖❤️❤️💕❤️❤️💕
One of THE greatest rock vocalists of all time BAR NONE
This to me is one of the best songs from Journey ❤
I consider it single worthy, but you have to leave some tasty stuff as incentive to buy the whole album as well, right?
@@0okamino true 😁
Neil Schoen is so highly underrated....a very talented lead guitarist 🎸 ❤❤❤❤

Steve was also a drummer.

This song is hot...I was 17, when I saw Journey, live with my first love....❤❤❤
The freak guitar playing!
Oh how I love this ❤

💜💜💜💜💜 Yes, Steve Perry!
just a great American rock band all around. thank you, friend.

Neil Schon is very underrated ❤
Fantastic song and "Escape" was a fantastic album!

My first concert... what a show!
Such a great jam
He’s a drummer and plays bass and some guitar and bit of piano too
And a cow bell, too. Don't forget the cowbell ☺️
@@michelecarson2360 I did forget that 🤣
Neil Schon had some licks
He knows his way around a fretboard a bit, doesn’t he?
you missed where the normal keyboard player was playing guitar when Perry went to the keyboard....talent galore!!!!!!
Great song!
Hi Harri,
This was my leftover request from April. I am a big fan of their live stuff as well.
This song is sooo incredible....Stone in love ❤️ ❤❤
Harri you are the best!
What a great song and Steve Perry has the best voice ever. Thanks, Louis and Harri.
GREAT song!!!!! My absolute favorite in the song is bassist Ross Valory!!! I believe his bass playing is the star of the song!!! He's loud and clear and perfect!!!

Steve was a drummer in a former band. He can also play guitars and keyboards. And we know he can definitely sing. A great front man.
Great song 🎵
My favorite Journey song. Outro bass line is fantastic. Chorus is bitchin. Great, great song. Reminds me of summer.
Have always loved this song
Nice
When I actually liked Journey!

No where in the most outer universe will you find a Greater Vocalist! Steve Perry has entered The Universe Hall of Fame!!!

Christaina Aguilar.

The bass on this song doesn't get heard enough or appreciated enough.
