Here's a tip.... the modern soldiers have firepower, the zombies have vast numbers.... the difference is simply TERRAIN. If you want to keep YOUR losses at ZERO, you take the high ground, put landscape between your soldiers and the oncoming horde of zombies, hold your position, main that gap and annihilate-away. Any other tactic or move is just dumb and unnecessary. It shouldn't take four hours to get the job done either.
I love the fact the Modern Soldiers do tactical retreats when they are out matched...

BATTLE NO MERCY, THANK YOU for staying true to the silent "behind the scenes" creator(s), continue to LOVE your battles. Just to prove you're right, I dared to watch a little of another "influencer's" sim-battle. The battle premise looked good BUT the moment that battle started the creator's monologue began and NEVER STOPPED, ruined it totally. The voice in my head was telling that monologer "Dood, if I wanted/needed/ASKED to hear a self-promoting play-by-play of MTV's 'Celebrity Death Match', I wouldn't be HERE". So you have THE BEST battle sim of all here, keep it evolutionary, NOT revolutionary, stay creative and silent, it works! Best to you...

I believe that the modern soldiers do much better on an even playing field. This was way too drawn out. I needed to fast forward through most of it. Just thought I'd let you know.
Carrying enough ammo would be the main problem. In such a narrow road the zombies had no chance, the army had a advantage much like the Spartans had at Thermopylae. And in certain bends in the road the army had a clear field of fire. If the army could carry enough ammo they could defeat 5 million zombies'
True. Simple infantry alone can have a significant effect, but with tanks, gunship, artillery, and various explosives, zombie apocalypse is difficult without air infection. Or they tear the iron plate like a game.

Given that each US infantryman carries 210 rounds standard and given that there are 10,000 Soldiers her. They would have a total of 2.1 million rounds. Now assuming they all made head shots then they would have plenty of ammunition.

In real life they’d run out of ammo and wouldn’t be able to fire over each other. Zombies win on the field every time. Only way to beat them is air force and nukes.
Not really; they'd be able to utilize the environment more effectively. Plus, the fact that they have such a defendable position.
-Set traps that push them over the mountainside without using any ammo such as boulders.
-Build barricades, flame moats, or kill enough of them to blockade a passage.
-Use their troops more effectively and not run down to engage them in close quarters,
-Properly utilize their advantages. (IE: 12:04 You can have troops fire down on the zombies coming up the slope from the ledge.)
-Utilize vehicles such as bulldozers, explosives, etc.
You might be thinking too narrowly what a soldier carries. A loaded out solder typically carries 7 30 round magazines. That is 210 rounds each, it is realistic if they know they are going into a fire fight or extended patrol he would also could carry a few more magazines which could push the total to 300 rounds, group total of 3,000,000 rounds. . Also, don't forget they also carry hand grenades, figure maybe 3 per soldier, that's 30,000. That is heck of firepower for 10,000 troops. And as a last resort they still have a the bayonet, which attached at the end of the assault rife can be used to stab a zombie in the head. Not idea, but considering a zombie is unarmed a soldier can do it.
@@covercalls88 That's what they carry. This is a scenario where they know they would be under prolonged siege from a large number of enemies.
Therefore they would bunker down and have a large quantity of ammo on standby. They would only do that if they didn't spot a horde of millions of zombies from miles away. But seeing how large the horde is, they would've already received word that a zombie outbreak is occurring, took this position due to it being advantages, and capitalize on it.
@@jonathanharris4871 I don't think Gaming IO thought how much a loaded out soldier would carry. I agree in a prolong siege they would have plenty of ready reserve ammo and each would probably carry at least two bandolier on their person. You would think with 10,000 troops they would have several M134s on hand. But the we are getting into the extreme and with zombies they will mindlessly attack so the troops would just need to setup a strong defensive positions, with crossfire and overlapping .positions. But, of course it would not be as interesting. Either way the zombies are pretty much toast.

Some of the tactics that these zombies use make them the smartest ones I've seen.
The good news is that the soldiers wouldn't have t carry much of the gear they usually would, such as their vest and plates. As boring as it may be, I would like to see how such an engagement would pan out with 6 million zombies.

What makes a simulator fun, is the simulation producing something that you could believe could happen. The magical bullets shooting through the soldiers completely ruins it, not believable, at all.
well bro, realistically none of the soldiers would be grouped together either or standing right up next to the zombies. its just for fun. we will have better simulations when we have better ai.
Well, bullets would pass through zombies in rl, dunno if they do here tho.
But it would really not matter in this case.
That mountain gives fire lines all over.
And lots of places the z would have real trouble climbing to at all.
Think more abstract.
But IF infection was a risk, especially with all that blood and flesh in the air..

All U need is 2 bull dozers to push the dead zombies off the cliff or use as a wall further back
what would have made this battle all the more one sided is if they included natural elements, for example, with that much blood on a mountain side if the zombies would slide off the cliffs to their 2nd deaths.
I checked the starting unit count with the kill count at the end and it turns out that the soldiers were rather lucky since roughly 2.2million zombies were killed by the environment, I.E. they died from falling off a cliff.
