- My Bigfoot 200 race experience. August 13-17, 2022.
Fourth place finisher in 69h: 23m: 49s
A simple, 'raw' video of the highs, and lows of a 200. Intended to show my non-ultra friends and family what 200 miles is all about . Hopefully helpful to new 200 mile runners, with on trail scenery, aid station operations, and calling to myself. I stopped filming much after I left the Klickitat aid stations at mile 160, I was tired and distracted.
I think I'm a lot funnier than I probably am.

Epic! 4th place, well done!
I’m giving my first 200 a try next June with Tahoe 200 and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m planning a safe 95 hours to finish, but really hoping to be done closer to 70-75 hours. But longest I have done yet is 63 miles so there will be plenty of unknown to tackle along the way!
Great video, man! Loved it! Many thanks!
"we're putting the wheels back on this bus" is going to become my new mantra when sh!t goes pear shape and i need to refocus. So glad i stumbled across this video, Jakob.
Awesome job! I first heard about ultra running in 2017 too, I volunteered for 12 days at headquarters. Ran my first ever ultra bigfoot 200 in 2018, it kicked my butt, I wasn't prepared for the heat. 2019 was amazed, there was an epic storm, DNF at council bluff ( now quarts ridge) missed cutoff. Repeat in 2021🤦♀️. So hopefully 2024 will be my year to cross the finish line 🤞. Thanks for filming your journey and sharing it.
You did awesome!! I loved how this had humor involved as well! Congrats!!!
The hands throw up in the air right before you hit the track at the finish was one of my favorite parts! GREAT job Jake!!!
Its good to see those trails again. Thanks for the video. Well done.
That was a great video.
Thanks for sharing it! You did so well in the race. 4th place is definitely something to be proud of!
Great video quality. What gear did you use?
