Thank you so much! I’m so glad you gave us an outdoor example too. I have one tiny request though - would be cool if you alternated between flashlights before showing us both of them together. Because on video, that gives me a better idea of the difference between two units. Still, great video!

Lighting has come a long ways since my original little mag.

I remember waving my dolphin torch around as a kid and being so impressed with it!

That's a decent review video, mate. Led me to get one of these myself!
I wanted something simple to replace my old UltraFire WF-501B (the crappy first gen 200lm one) that just had a single tailswitch and that always started in Low mode. So long as I keep it on low or reset it afterward, this does great, but I absolutely *love* how you can flip to 'Tactical' mode and go 1600lm instantly if ever you need it. The lockout mechanism is equally cool, far better than having to long-press or double press.
Interestingly, I found the 2-stage tailswitch quite nice to use - It's like a digital camera button with a half press to the point of resistance, then a harder press to fully click it on. The click is more tactile than audible but still more than enough to know when I've clicked it.
The pouch it comes with seems really, REALLY cheap and shoddy, though...!

You can put lanyard into clip's hole. I did it with my Lumintop X1L.

Is a battery without usb port suitable? It is a little bit shorter

I haven't encountered a battery being a little bit shorter than another on account of not having a USB port. I've only used the Fenix brand batteries, and the batteries with a USB port are the same size as the ones without, (as long as they're both the same class of battery) and I can swap them between lights no problem at all. I'd be cautious about using a battery with different physical dimensions - it sounds odd to me.

Do you know how this light would compare with the Fenix PD36R? They have the same LED. I wonder especially how the beam patterns compare. Also, would you say this light appears to have a cool (more blue) color, neutral, or warm? Thanks for the review.

Well you're in luck, because I put plenty of PD36R comparisons in this video.
      I think it's a neutral white.

@@WildStuff I have the PD36R and find myself checking to make sure I'm in the high power mode. If you accidentally have it on low it's not very "tactical", maybe consider the PD36R TAC.

@@johnhub9626 Yes that's my only real gripe with the traditional rear-cap + side switch design. I've gotten myself into a habit of cycling through the modes before putting it into my pocket.
I thought the PD36TAC was a great idea but despite all the extra lumens it turned out to have shorter throw, so I didn't end up buying that one.

This light uses an 18650 battery. The PD36TAC is a similar style of light which uses a 21700 battery.
