  • The Finn by Chase Mobile Bank App, although chase might not be good when it comes to savings. Merch: teespring.com/...
They finally decide to create or partner up with a Financial app that helps you save, track spending and also has no fees. Sounds familiar? If it does it because its like Chime, Simple, Varo, Clarity and all these new apps that are now coming on the scene. But the difference between them and Finn is that Finn has the Chase name attached to it. Which means a lot when it comes financial reputation, because of how big the chase brand is.
Huge conflict of interest with this the Finn App by Chase. While doing this app review and researching I asked myself; how can a company that profits from your debt and needs you to spend money to stay alive, give you financial advice without being bias. What I mean by this is, imagine the person you owe money to giving you financial advice when they profit and depend to from your borrowing habits to keep making money. As soon I figured that I thought the app would just be very simple and a maintaining app rather than an app that really helps you get out of debt and start fresh. This means that this app would encourage you to balance your debt but not really get out of it as fast as you could.
    Key Questions Answered
    1. What makes this bank different?
    2. Why it’s good or terrible?
    3. How do you decide with Finn by chase or its competition?
    Raw Notes
How it works: Get a debit card Set up direct Deposit  Boom use Zelle to send money to friends and use the app to be able to manage your money and create a savings
    1. How does it work
Full of little gimmicks to make enticing but no competition compared to its competitors. Also, if you use the savings to much you cant use the app anymore only through the chase app.
    2. Do you guys run a credit check? Do you guys offer loans or something?
They are working on creating a credit card, so most likely that why they are doing soft pulls now.
    3. Do I get an account and routing number?
Yes, Its all in the app.
    4. Atm free, how many compared to chase, is it allpoint ATMs?
They have 29,000 ATMs but they should all be free like Sofi and Aspiration are doing.
    5. Do I get any cash back by shopping with the card?
Yes, in the app they have offers for certain retailers that you can spend money on and get some kick back.
    6. Cash deposits?
YES YES YES, one of the only good things about the app is this.
    7. Saving interest rate?
The worst ever its literally less than 1% so its .1% a year. Varo is 2.80% and Sofi 2.25%
    8. How do I get paid faster?
You don’t, it’s not like Chime two days early direct deposit.
    9. Is my money Fdic ensured?
Yes, up to 250k like most banks.
    10. Is customer service 24/7?
Yes, and high-quality reps, since they are working chase.
    11. How do you guys work with chase?
Basically, for the name and ATMs
    12. Can I send money to my friends and how?
Yes using the Zelle app but almost every bank can use Zelle so don’t get too happy about it. It's not a winning feature.
    13. How does it help me manage my money and set goals up?
It doesn’t, it just shows your expenses and gives you smiley faces to label them. ( I know I’m disappointed too)
    14. How long do check deposit take
The first time, standard 5-7 business days, after that its faster.
    15. Limits?
3k spending but no limits on withdrawal as long as you're in a branch to take the money out.
Marketing: Just like all the other apps they are going FOR NO FEES

Nice review. What do you think about Tradelines to build credit.

I've heard about it, and I even tried it. I asked my credit card to add my mom as an authorized user to help her build her credit history since she had never had a credit card. The response was, it'll only affect her credit score if you two are married. Which is weird lol.
But it might have been only that credit card that works that way, so I just got got her a secured card and now her credit is almost at a 700 it's at a 694 right now.
And I read a little about buying trade lines and I didn't read enough to find the legal workings of that but it sounds really on a grey area 🧐

Hi Tommy I have a bank account for four years now with a small local bank here in California. Since it only has four branches and it's not a credit union and I do direct deposit they waive all the fees and reimburse any atm fees charged by other banks atms. The only issue I have is no 24/7 customer service and there has been times when I didnt have access to my account over the weekend and had to wait until 9am monday morning to get it fixed. Have been looking at something similar but with 24/7 customer service, and where if something happens on friday night I can get it fixed that same night, but also offers cash deposit as a option since I have a part time job that does not do direct deposit and I just want one bank account for all my banking. Is there anything you recommend?

Thanks for the detailed comment, and the main thing is that that product doesn't exist yet. Right now finn is the product with cash deposit and I recommend you start far far far away from lol.
But here's the deal, certain companies have better options for products. This means that chase might be good for customer service and when ever you need a mortgage but sucks with savings and all the fees. So you have to get what's best for your money in this case.
Right now so far, there's only been two products I've recommended Sofi bank and Varo but you need external bank account for both of them. Meaning you'll have to deposit in that small branch to send them money since you don't have direct deposit. Or you could get one of the big branches in your area and an online bank. Bank of america, chase, td bank, wells fargo and so on.
Remember, the key is finding a bank with great customer service for does one time problems that pop every now and then. But also with a solid savings, and start investing a percentage of your income or save it to buy assets. For stocks I recommend Acorn, I have a link in the description.
      Links your need:

      Acorn: www.acorns.com/invite/?code=38EYSU

Research you need to do, figure out the big branch in your area and start banking with them. If you need help, just let me know.

Hey Tommy, I’m 18 and I just got my first job. What online banking card do you believe is best for me in regards to direct deposit, cash back, and putting paper money in a bank to transfer to the card. Thank you 💓

Hey great question, the thing is that product doesn't exist yet. So we have to improvise.
So here's the plan: if your going to be earning say 1000 bucks a month. Around 250 a week.
You have to budgeted it into these 6 accounts.
Emergencias: 10% minimun (this is an account in case you literally loose your job and can't work anymore for 6 months)
Investments: 10% minimum I recommend 20% though. ( this account is for investments like using the app acorn to start investing in the market with a balance portfolio to grow your money for the long term. This can can also be used to by business or real estates. But whenever you use this money it has to make you money)
Debt: 10-40% depending.( if you don't have any congrats 👏👏 but if you then pay of the bigger balance first and pay the minimum on the rest. Example you have three credit cards you focus on over paying one and paying the regular balance on the rest and inches your done you put that same amount plus minimum to the next card and so on. once your out stay out of debt and put that same amount money into investments and building assets)
Expenses: 10-30% this is necessities like electricity rent Internet and so on. Not Netflix hulu and TH-cam red just for the options.
Fun: 10% minimum go have fun ( you have to use this account or it'll be hard to keep this up for long)
Charity: 1% or more. Give back.
That's the plan that got me from 60$ a week to alot more money now. If you need help let me know. Working on a course with more details soon

Oh and as for bank, I recommend one big bank like chase and say your a student they waive the fees. And when they ask for how long day 8 years lol that way your fee free.( like you can deposit cash and build a reputation with big banks)
For online sofi or varo I have reviews on boths if you can't decid.
      Investing Acorn.
Savings either varos 2.80 if you have direct deposit or sofi 2.25%
      💰💰hope this helps 💵💵
