Brilliant. Water flows the path of least resistance. Your job with the creek and the erosion gully and swales is done. Now make these new routes more resistant to flow. Such an amazing sight to see new channels of waters which were practically under a drought scenario for decades if not centuries. The growth of plant life is going to surprise us all.
And I don’t know if you are following this channel @thefoodforestnamibia but he is also having the blessings of the heavens in Namibia at the exact same time.
It really is so lovely. I know the camera and TH-cam do not do the sound justice, but it gives a hint of the wonderful sound of all that flowing water.
You are doing important work here.
just imagine the damage it would have done if there were NO weirs. It certainly slows the most of the water and captures a lot of water too ...

Leaky weirs capturing all that organic gold from other areas and helping with water saturation. Great stuff for the gardens/composts.

if only it were possible to trap more of that running water. amazing work!
Had the same thought! Always makes you hope for bigger, better, more!
But they're doing a great job to slow and stop as much as they are.
could you make a huge pond to save even more water , at all ?
@@endurance8910 I'm reluctant to do that. I will try a few other, more simple ways. Thanks for sharing
Could you make a pond or swales along the lowest border of your property to catch all of those water from the creek? Keep up the good work! ❤
