I know you are counting your blessings that you were not more badly hurt or even worse. My nephew was not so lucky snowboarding - RIP. Be safe out there, Janice! I am decades older than you (59) and fell down the stairs once, and now I respect those stairs much more - holding on to the railings! Take care of your sweet family and yourself and do whatever content you feel like doing - or not. Great video!

I had been wondering where you were. So sorry to hear about your accident. But I'm very thankful that you're okay and are healing and recovering. I'm glad that you had a great year back to teaching.🥰

I'm so glad you're healing. I had to change my teaching style a few years ago due to medical reasons and it was hard to do. We're so used to being up and with the kids all day it feels unnatural to sit and teach. But I'm glad you're giving yourself the time and grace to heal.

I am so sorry that you had to go through all of that, Janice. I’m glad to see you are recovering nicely and are in good spirits. I’ve been following your vlogs since the beginning, and appreciate all the hard work you have put into your channel. I wish you much success in your future plans. Your classroom hub is absolutely amazing! Your decor for next school year is so pretty and so “you“. Sending much love and prayers your way.❤❤❤

I’m so grateful and happy your injury wasn’t a spinal cord injury!!! While listening and watching you tell your story I couldn’t stop cringing when you said how excruciating the pain was. I wanted to cry for you.
I’m happy you’re doing well and living in the moment. Wish you and the family all the best.
Please take care. Lots of love always!

Thank you so much, Lauren. ♥️Not going to lie-- there were a lot of tears... it was just a nightmare... 😂 But, the ugliest/worst part of it is over. 😌

This was such a treat to watch! So grateful that you are ok and thankful that hubby has been taking such great care of you. I totally understand the new era you're in as I too, have felt a shift from the teacher TH-cam era. I have a new direction and focus because of the many trials I've endured as a teacher and it has made me a stronger person with a different mindset and perspective which led me to making a new planner channel. Things happen for a reason, and some times in the silences of reflection we hear the answers we have been needing to give us the direction and purpose we need in our lives. Thanks for sharing your "WanHappy" journey with us, and I'm excited for your new chapter :)

Perfectly ok with you posting on a whim or not at all. It’s your life Janice! I’m so very happy to hear you’re healing well. I cannot imagine the pain and trauma you’ve experienced and continue to go through. I’m sure your kiddos were so happy to see you but I’m glad you’re doing short days and taking care of yourself first. Prayers and positive thoughts for continued healing my friend. 🥰❤️😊

Oh my I am so sorry that happened to you! I’m glad you’re doing better. I’m sure it’ll just take time and take your time. Especially as a teacher. It is so hard to slow yourself down. We are always up and about. I had fallen down a flight of stairs right before Covid really hit and my back was in the worst shape for the longest time and when I went back to the classroom, I had a student jump on my back and I fell m. that totally set me back. It’s so good to hear that your admin has been so good to you. Because I ended up having to leave because they would not give me a break and I was in so much pain. Hopefully your summer break is soon and you can take some time to yourself. 💕

It's been slow and steady progress. It'll be awhile until I have my full mobility and strength back, but again I'm thankful I can walk and close out the year with my class even if it's on a shortened schedule. 💕

Sending healing hugs and love your way 🤗. So grateful that your injury wasn’t as bad as it could have been 🙏🏽. I would always say “Girl Power” every time you guys went snowboarding, but take as much time as you need to heal and get healthy again. I’m a teacher too so I understand the whole “I’m going to be more organized next school year”, but I can only stick to maybe the first semester. I’m a vision teacher in special ed, so when IEP season hit, I just be trying to survive from one meeting to the next 😂😂. Good luck with everything and I’ll see you when I see you. ❤

You came into my thoughts the other day, I was wondering how the school year had treated you and everything, then I saw your update. Sending you all the healing energy on your journey to recovery and so many blessings to you and your family, that have been such a help to you during this time. I love seeing your updates but I respect your need to pull back. I just want you to be happy and healthy. I found your channel back in 2018, when I was just over teaching. (Mind you I was already in my 10th yr of teaching.) You helped pull me out of my teacher funk, but in the end I just really enjoyed watching you live life. It was refreshing and I'm grateful you shared that online. Thank you for giving me inspiration and hope that things could get better. I wish you and your husband the very best.
PS: I'm not in the classroom anymore by choice, not b/c I was pushed out. But I love this hyperlinked hub system on sheets. If I was teaching I would totally use this. Also I use plan out my classroom just like this for following year at the end of the school year. Good luck next year.

Hi Janice, it’s soo good to hear from you. I know you’re closing your chapter but I am so thankful for your wanhappyteacher era for allowing us to find you. Again, I was only an aide at the time, and now I’m a full-on teacher. You are so relatable, and THE epitome example of reflection and stepping away (and detoxing) from social noise and finding more happiness and joy. I felt everything you mentioned in the video, and though I’ll miss your posts, I’m excited to see you stay more “present.” I hope all will go well and I already know those random videos will be such a treat when you do post randomly. I hope you make a fast recovery, and I think this video has really helped me not take the little things in life for granted. I appreciate the reminder.
