Keep bringing on more of these clips! Oh my. I love seeing into my youthful past through the images and music of your wonderful family! I was a kid in '68 sporting colorful bell bottoms and colorful print shirts and a wide watch band. I was singing along to everything from King Family harmonies to The Lettermen who inspired my future singing as well and so many other rock groups of the time who were making history...The Mamas & The Papas, The 5th Dimension, The Carpenters, The Osmond Brothers, even the cast of Lawrence Welk another great inspiration for my future. I love these glances back into time and recalling my time of innocence while so much else in the world was in chaos. Thank you.
I am addicted... I loved this. Truth be told, I've been watching all the amazing clips you and your Uncle Came have posted daily. They bring back such happy and joyous memories of my new family back then. Thank you...love from Florida!
Agreed. All these clips from a most wonderful past are now so sweetly wonderful still yet surreal to think back on those times and how the world was so incredibly different in society and politics and even in families. As families back then we were close knit and unified and always finding ways to be together...but today people are so scattered and displaced, even if they live in the same general locations. I recall my youth while watching these videos and see the people in their clothes of the time period and the hippies in contrast to The King Family. Though the hippies held their ground with strong identities and ambitions to make the world better with peace and love...gotta give them credit. Thanks to Jennifer and her richly beautiful clips of her family that we can revisit a time past. So enjoyable. And I am loving the set used for the show...looks like a real home.
I think The Sisters and Cousins always looked great...sure, some of the dresses can be a bit much but always on point and fabulous to match their bright lively personalities and performances. Gotta love the hair...blond bouffant heaven!
Actually, the sisters' maxi vests foreshadow the ones Bea Arthur wore on Maude and are related to today's color block dresses seen on newscasters, etc. So perhaps they were fashion forward.
To me those dresses have all the charm of butcher aprons! However they again turn in a pleasing performance. The Cousins are on a par with their Mothers this time around - wonderful.
donn sunderland The Sisters were always so stylish to me as a child. Every time I see this special I think...”who let those outfits happen?” But I love these numbers.

I actually like the King Sisters' dresses. But, with that unbelievable performance of "Rock-a-bye", they could wear burlap sacks and I wouldn't care. One more time!
The beauty and talent of the King family is mesmerizing. I adore them!

Lyrics:
Four King Cousins - Happy Together
I can't see me loving nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Imagine me and you I do
I think about you day and night
It's only right
To think about the one you love and hold them tight
So happy together
If I shall call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine
So happy together
I can't see me loving nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice, it have to be
The only one for me it's you, and you for me
So happy together
Ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba
Ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba
You and me and me and you
No matter how they toss the dice it have to be
The only one for me it's you
And you for me
So happy together
I can't see me loving nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba
King Sisters - Rock a-bye your Baby, With a Dixie Melody
Rock a bye, your baby
With a dixie melody (melody)
When you croon, croon a tune
From the heart of Dixie
Just hang my cradle, mammy mine
Right on that masoned, dixen line
And swing it from Virginia
To Tennessee with all the love that's in ya
Weep no more, my lady
Sing that song again, for me
Sweet and low, just as though
You have me on your knee
A Million baby kisses, I'll deliver
The minute that you sing that "Swanee River"
Rock a bye your rock a bye baby
with a dixie melody
Weep no more, my lady
Sing that song again, for me
Sweet and low just as though
You have me on your knees
A Million baby kisses, I'll deliver
The minute that you sing that "Swanee River"
Rock a bye your rock a bye baby
With a Dixie melody
(One more time!)
Rock a bye you rock a bye baby
With a Dixie Melody
at 2:06 candy blows it she singing baba when the rest of them go into chorus.

Agreed! Gorgeous!
These are the King Cousins.
Jennifer those outfits are pants with the long jacket it was the style curtious of Bob Mackie
Yep! I own some of the dresses designed by Bob Mackie. And I still think the Sister’s outfits are awful 😆
Unfortunately the worst hair they ever wore, only candy came out unscathed
