As a young girl I used to watch the King family show with my mother. She loved the king sisters and grew up listening to them. I’m glad she introduced me to them.
The King Family is gold, and I LOOOVVE getting to see full episodes like this. I do have to say, though, that it's criminal that these shows weren't recorded/broadcast in color. Because wonderful and charming as they are, we all know by now that the Kings in color are mesmerizing to behold! Thanks so much for your efforts to bring these back for people to see. 🥰
This was my favorite episode! My Dad made a reel-to-reel recording of it & we listened to it a lot! Loved every minute of it & so happy to now see the show again! Thank you for sharing:)
I've been hoping one day to see a full episode of the King Family. I just barely remember the show, but I love all the clips I've seen from all of the King Family. Excited to see this!
Thank you so much for posting this. Reminds me of my grandmother so much. Very comforting in these times. You are so blessed to be a part of a wholesome talented and Godly family.
Thank you for posting this complete episode as well as the 1974 Christmas special recently. I have the two DVDs and love the short excerpts from the shows - but have wished for complete episodes. It is great you are posting them! Please post more - all if you are able to. I saw that there were unaired pilots when looking at Wikipedia: The King Family & Friends (1969), The King Family Circle (1970) (2 episodes taped), Those Were the Days (1970) (2 episodes taped). Does anyone have them? It would be great if they could be seen.
Thank you Jennifer for posting a full king family show, I really enjoy watching your beautiful family. I hope you can post more. How’s your dear dad doing? I pray he’s doing well. Miss seeing you two cooking together. ♥️🙏 thank you again for blessing us with your family videos. 🥰
I liked this episode because it let me know who belongs to who. Please give us an update on Louise's kids, Liza, Rob, and Jon; good looking family. Also, how did Vonnie become the family spokesperson?
Your father's right! This was originally telecast on April 24, 1965 (there's a promo for the following evening's "SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE" {repeated from November 22, 1964} at 14:19).
The "McHALE'S NAVY" promo at 23:17 was later used to promote the series in syndication [minus the "ABC" tag at the end]; WNEW-TV in New York (which featured all the syndicated "King Family" specials, by the way) used it from 1966 through the early 1970's.
Hey Jen, what is little Stevo's story? He always looked like he didn't want to be there, while the other kiddies hamed it up -- especially Cam! Hey, Cam!
Stev-o always danced to the beat of his own drum. He just wasn't the ham that Cam, Susannah, and Larette were. Some kids eat up the spotlight, and some don't :)
I can tell you the oldest grandson was Billy King (Karleton's oldest son who did not make many appearances on the show) Followed by Tommy Thomas, then Lex de Azevedo then Tina Cole (this is per my dad). After that...too many...too hard ;)

What a TV show! Mom and Dad used to watch it all the time!

Thank you for posting. Brought back many good childhood memories. The depth of talent in The King Family never ceases to amaze me.
I'm just amazed at the talent everybody had especially the young ones! To think they said nobody was really trained they just picked it up. Amazing!

I'll see what I can find
@@MissJennifee Thank you! Best wishes for 2023!
Loved it. Talent is always fun to watch and this family clearly exudes talent.
Really get a kick out of the commercials too
This was wonderful!
That was great how they plugged a song for Saturday afternoon baseball on ABC.
Old school, classic marketing :)
Great show, thanks for posting this Jen! Wishing you and your family a healthy and happy New Year!
Thank you! Happy New Year!!!
Thank you, this is premium!

Jen, your dad was so handsome. I am sorry at his passing. Hope you are doing ok. xoxo

TV VARIETY AT ITS VERY BEST…..
Jen, what year was this one
Dad says approximately 1965

This only came to my attention because of the legend Cam Clarke
He's my uncle. And he is a legend :)
@@MissJennifee Well your uncle's one of my favorite individuals to ever live. No matter the role he kills it

@@MissJennifeeBut, you didn't answer the question, what became of him? Engineer, computer tech, Doctor????
The king family: wish more family would do the same
Loved it! Negative was the meaning behind the special look between Vonnie and Ric and all the sisters turning around? Does Ric remember?
How about a roll call from oldest to youngest on the cousins

Why are so many Mormon people in Show Business?? King family, Osmond, and John Whitaker from Family Affair. I'm sure there's more.
What happened to Donna’s son Chris
He's doing great! Got married and had like 5 kids :)
Ok, which cousin is the oldest and who has the first grandchild
@@tamarahaislip1730I have no idea! I'll have to ask my dad.
15:13- "See 'The Naked Edge' tomorrow night, on ABC."
24:11- "Watch 'McHALE NAVY' Tuesday night, on ABC."
What happened to Lex
He's still around. Jennifer can tell you what's he currently doing better than I can. 🙂
When did this episode originally air?
