I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
The mini split are hard to work on. I am a AC tech and many TECH do not like to work on the splits they are not TECH friendly. Plus the home owners put the split in areas in the home that are is tight spaces or to close to the ceiling. I charge double for maintenance and repair to work on those units they are very delicate. Any repair will cost a home owner twice as much then a regular unit.
i agree. i just looked at one for a church and i can't even get into the electrical mains on the ODU without unfastening all of the wire connectors going into the unit. the panels are insanely difficult to get off and there is no good way to get to the boards to check the ipm, etc with probes. the service manual has no disassembly procedure to get into the boards. almost unserviceable.
