I just had surgery today, and then I discovered this mod through your video. I absolutely love X3 despite its plethora of flaws, and one of them is that you can barely play Zero, so this absolutely made my day.

@@JChaosMaster there isn't a sega cd version or a Saturn, there was however a PSX version and PC port (X2 strangely was the only one to lack one before x legacy collection).

It's truly awesome to see fans of the Mega Man X series(Especially X3)took their time to make such an amazing updated version to not only enhance the graphics & effects of the game, but to also created a cool storyline just for Zero & make him fully playable. You wanna know the sad part of this? If Zero hadn't given Blast Hornet his invitation to Doppler Town, Hornet would still be working with X and Zero as a hunter for the 0th Unit.

How would it have been “twice epic”? This art style is way better than the later games and much more timeless. This game is already the best X game in the series.
@@OrangeXenon54 X4 and megaman 8 were more better looking tho. So much detail .Not saying this looks bad by any means. I like it as well but the 16 graphics can only do so much compare to 32. X3 is really good but I don't think it's the best.imo

Since at least X4 you can have one button to fire whatever weapon is selected and another to fire the buster.

How did you achieve those visual effects on Zero's shots and the buster's charge?
X3 Zero's max charge was the two blasts and one saber strike. X can earn the Z saber too, but the process is a bit convoluted.

I can't seem to find this mod, any tips? Google isn't much help as it points to a SNES mod. When this is clearly the PC/PS1 version.
It's a combination of Zero Project V4.4 AND the PC/PSX version, like someone else said.

Been wondering when you'd treat us with another no damage run, and you went ahead and dropped 3 whole playthroughs + more on us. 😁 Just so happens that I've had renewed interest since picking up the X and Castlevania Collections on the Switch this season.

I think he would have to look at everytime he fired a charged shot, add effects, then do it again, but those aren’t the old effects that he adds, so it must take a long time
@@cowgaming7186 the effort this guy puts in his videos is crazy, since he is adding light and other effects to make it even better, it must take a lot of time, let alone the attempts to do stages and sections without damage.

I've applied the Zero Project 4.4 romhack easily enough, but it doesn't include all the aesthetic changes (weapon glow, FMV intros, X4 "Ready", new "WARNING", new life bars, etc.

Almost everything is custom. I believe he has a hack where it shows the actual digits of the health instead of the health bar itself.

look up the mmx3 zero project v4 or v5 for SNES. Youmayhave to patch the rom but you wont be disappointed.
