The bosses don't react to their weaknesses in this game, spark mandrill in mmx1 would actually freeze from chill penguins weapon and his stage would be destroyed by storm eagles weapon.
I think the implication in X1 is the ship/plane from storm eagles's stage crashes into mandrill's power plant, also the water from launch octopus floods into chameleons area, and the cold from penguin cools or freezes mammoths's
There is a few effects when you defeat some bosses for example if you defeat blast hornet then go to gravity beetle the iron blocks will disappear and one of robots will be downgraded
That red glow is the reinforced shield obtained by either the body upgrade chip or the golden armor from a hidden red capsule. The reinforced shield reduces damage by 75% with the shield being active after a hit. The body chip per se reduces damage by 50% plus 25% with said shield being active for any further hit.

I agree 100% they seem more dark & evil. Also I love their designs the best out of the first 3 games. This x game just came so far from second one. I love X1 & X3 if I had to choose I would choose 3 over one but one is a classic also it’s the first entry. I never liked 2 I dunno it seemed cheaply made to me I don’t know why. Does anyone else feel this way?
The bosses are so lazily designed in this game. They ALL do the exact same thing: charge back and forth across the room. Capcom devs got lazy with this one.
A few people said this. I don’t know why but I love this one, while growing up it was my fav next to X1 not including 4. But I think vile was way better in this game also the mini bosses bit & byte. In my opinion they were so much better than the the mini bosses in 2. Violin, Agile & serges. Sigmas android form was cool also.

This one always felt blander compared to the other X games on an aesthetic level but I guess they were going for that, darker and edgier, a grittier style. Whole game feels very brown and fuzzed out.

a nifty trick i discovered:
if you have the acid weapon equipped, you can fire straight up or straight down when clinging to a wall!

It seems the X3 bosses were made to be edgier compared to X2 less impressive roster.
