Great video. One extra tip would be to go straight into your first push jerk as soon as you catch your ninth hang clean, rather than standing all the way up and re-dipping. Also, unlike the hang cleans and push jerks, it is actually fine to break up your deadlifts into two or three sets, especially in the later rounds. This tactic makes it easier mentally, knowing that you only need to do five or seven deadlifts rather than eleven, and it will allow you to pick the bar up much sooner after completing a set of push jerks, potentially making you faster overall.

Good tips Stephen! Especially if you can hit the HPC into PJ unbroken!

We are doing it again on Monday (from what I hear ) with Speal . Of course 155 is nuts for most of us. I do 105# Did 9:41 a couple months ago right after the gym reopened . Feeling confident I can improve. 49yrs old ,2 yr CF, with a beat up body from 30 yrs of carpet installing. Thanks for the great video.

First attempt at DT today and it absolutely smoked me.
    Male, 33, 92.5kg, Crossfitter for 6 months
Managed 2 rounds at the intermediate weight, 50kg/115lbs, then had to scale back even more to complete the last 3 rounds, 40kg/89lbs.
    Time: 12:24
Definitely could've used these tips before I attempted the workout....thanks for the video!

If you drop the bar after the 8th clean aren't you doing 13 deadlifts? Maybe you said that. Should be 10 dead > 1 dead + 8 cleans > 1 dead + 1 clean + 6 jerks right?

You have to do it in the right order. So in total 12 DLs before any of your HPCs start even counting.

Wondering what you would think about doing DT EMOM style? One minute for each movement and you would finish in under 15 min.

You could try that for sure, but personally in these kind of workouts I just like to go hard and embrace the struggle - seeing how hard I can push myself without sacrificing my form.

Make sure you talk to your doctor. From what Dr. CJ DePalma has taught me, yes you absolutely can, especially if there is no pain present. Reach out to him here for any injury or rehab questions! instagram.com/the_movement_dr/
