We're glad you enjoyed the video. The area is absolutely amazing and we will most definitely go back again. Have you been to Abraham Lake in the winter to see the frozen bubbles? We would love to see that. Definitely go for pie - you won't be disappointed 😊

It’s always windy along the David Thompson. Snow doesn’t last long, the wind wins. Big storms form along Abraham Reservoir. I remember when it wasn’t uncommon to not see another vehicle on the highway once you left Rocky Mountain House until you hit the Jasper/Banff highway. The wild horses still hung out at Wild Horse Creek. It’s not wilderness anyone. Times have changed. . By 4:30pm it’s dark now. Getting close to the winter solstice. That was one of favourite weekend drives, Edm.to Jasper then the IceFields Parkway to Saskatchewan Crossing then out the David Thompson to #2 north and home. My wife was scared of heights too, she would grab my arm hard, sometimes leaving finger nail marks on my arm. I even miss that. Enjoy your journey and safe travels.

We saw signs of the wild horses all over the place, but unfortunately, we didn't get to see them. It is such a beautiful drive and area to explore. We were lucky with the wind while we were there. It was only windy up at Windy Point. It was nice and calm at our campsite on the south end. 😊

I am proud of MaryAnne over coming her fears! I am deathly scared of heights myself. I did Chimney Rock in N.C. We took the elevator and went thru the gift shop to get to Chimney Rock. What I didn’t know you could look down thru the bridge to get to a platform to get up on Chimney Rock. I went out the gift shop, got to the middle of the bridge and realized when I looked down I was 300’ above the ground. I froze. My wife came out and asked what was wrong. I told her look down. She did and understood, she help me sprint to the other side. I thought I was having a heart attack. So I know how Mary Anne feels. Great video!

Aww. Thank you 😊 Extreme heights like what you experienced would be a hard no for me as well. Note to self... say no to Chimney Rock lol

The $30 public land use pass was put into place a few years ago in an effort to take those funds and do improvements in public land use areas which are all along Alberta’s west side. The improvements have been amazing

    Stiflers Mom Falls!! 🤣
In my world, if you are directly looking at the backpack, what you see is the front.
But I’ve been told I’m wrong on several occasions…. 😅

She’s right, the front of the backpack is the front side of the pack, not how it’s facing. The straps side is always he back. And definitely the “I’m right DANCE!” A must see! lol😂
