Just what I was looking for! Went and bought a brand new cylinder, bought the Herman Miller Keys according to the numbers on the 2 locks. No go. So bought a lock pick, no go. So bought a more expensive lock pick, no go. Then found out you can buy the Master Keys for Herman Miller locks so bought them. No go once again! Time to get the damned drill out! 🤬 Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the ideas. My bro passed away last year and left a junky file cabinet with...stuff in it. Since I was going to scrap the cabinet anyway, no finesse was needed and the drilling worked great.
It was a little flimsier than I expected. I had to add a 2x2 piece of wood to the bottom on the rear side in order to stabilize it better th-cam.com/users/postUgkxXTh-lz-8W6GcB219vTLp27-MxbZYObBX . It is also starting to bow a little at the outer wall ( I've had it up for about 6 months), I've already had a shelf tumble down because of the bow and the fact that the little shelf brackets are quite short. I went out to home depot and got some longer ones so that the shelves don't tumble down again. Overall, it looks very nice for the price and it holds a lot ( I use it as a pantry). I am very satisfied with my purchase. I just strongly suggest reinforcing it before putting it up.
Worked like a charm. I started with a masonry bit to play it safe. Then moved up to whatever I used and it popped out as I was pulling the bit out lol😊
I used nothing but a 1/8 bit on the same type of cabinet lock and it popped open in less than 3 minutes. I'm no locksmith but it worked way easier than expected. Now I can use a flat head screwdriver to lock and unlock it.
Hey Alton, I have tried picking locks, never had any luck with it!!! I wish there was something cool in there to discover.... Thanks for Ur thoughts, watching, and commenting!!!
I'm confidant you'll never grow up to be a good B&E guy so I will sleep better tonight. At the shop, 4 wheel drive tires are flying off the shelves at a rate of 3+ sets of 4 per week. Mostly 12inch rim sizes but 14's are more popular then I was aware of. Then you get the pain in the ass mixed sets with 12's and 11's , even worse are the mixed 12's and 10's. I've got a 98 Polaris 4wd with a 300 2stroke motor and it has 23inch tires in the front and 24's in the rear, and the chances of finding a good used set on the market are slim to none.Plenty to learn and I should be plenty busy until work at the ranch picks up, then I'll be really busy. Harvey, do you need seat covers for any more mini trails then that project? Let me know before I start negotiating. Over and out.
Hey Dave, I'm actually surprised that I did not find the key while drilling the lock!!! I'm also disappointed that there was nothing good or interesting in there! Thanks for Ur thoughts, encouragement, watching, and commenting!!!
Hey ScooterSquad! I was hoping to find something cool in there, U R right, it was disappointing!!! Enjoy the atc70 collection video tonight.... As always, thanks for Ur thoughts, watching, and commenting!!!
Most locks you can just take a hammer and a flat nosed chisel - and a few sharp strikes will knock the cylinder out of the casing and it will fall into the drawer.
Hey Dave, Sometimes I loose the camera during a video shoot.... I guess that is nothing to be proud of.... Thanks for Ur thoughts, watching, and commenting!!

So just found that a Master key is not the same as a pull key so bought some pull keys before getting the ol' drill out. We'll see

Thanks a million! I locked my grandfather out of his file box and he couldn’t find the key. Followed this video and it popped open within 2 minutes.

So much for going in as straight as you can
if u spray the lock with a little wd40 or oil the drill goes a little smoother and doesn't get caught as much.
Harvey....you might take a refresher course in Burglary 101.

Why didn't you pick it or get a key by code? Why destroy it? You drilled too low, 3/32" bit just above keyway, straight shot through the pins.
Sure as shootin your going to find the keys ! Lmao

@@HarveySpooner I thought the top drawer was nice stuff ! When you rattled the middle drawer I knew it was empty ! Found treasures are always fun !
Tip: when drilling metal lower the speed of your drill
Need high speed for smaller bits, Most file cab locks are made of zinc.
That lock only has a little clip holding it in place very easy to remove with the drawer open.
Hey Jimmy!!!! I will look for the clip before I grind it! Thanks for the info, watching, and commenting!!!
Who would have thought you take a drill and a drill bit to drill out a lock to open it.
peace out Harvey videos have officially gone down the drain

there is no problem
with this covid crap what matters is having health, eat, drink and ...
I can't say the rest here.
50 grams of Thermite would be quicker!!
😂😂😅😂😅😂 damn why not delete this recording and try again
can't watch as you break the bit.
Talk way too much about irrelevant things...made this video longer
Not having a decent drill nor a properly tightened chuck made this video longer
Get to the point no1 cares about the story
