Seriously. As I’m watching this I’m thinking (in the most respectful way), “Why does she not focus mainly on her skincare? Because I can’t tell if makeup is actually decent or not because her she already looks like she’s wearing foundation…” Lol. Her “redness” even looking like perfectly fresh cream blush… I wish. I should do makeup tutorials as someone with a mast cell condition-I get so red it looks purple! But I like light coverage. With that said, I use the Chantecaille Future Skin Cushion Foundation and it’s fantastic. (Although my daily go-to is Salt New York’s Sneaky Balm.) My point being: I can’t tell if makeup does anything other than make her look less natural because her skin is so absolutely perfect already. Lucky, beautiful woman! 🏆

I have the three liquid base products and I agree that ranking them is difficult but the Gel and the Cushion....angels sing when I use those!! The two eye looks you have in this video...the one for the 4 wear tests and then the one in your final thoughts.....please do a tutorial!!! It’s stunning!!!

Mandy, I love Chantecaille, so I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I will tell you that I have 58 yo combo skin, and the Future Skin and cushion foundations are some of the few foundations that I feel really make me look pretty. And the powder foundation is just the best. They truly do warrant the higher price tag. (As you get older foundation becomes so difficult!). I know you've shown it on your channel before, but what was the brush you used to put on the Future Skin and tinted moisturizer? Also, I love the colors of the philanthropy blushes but I struggle to get enough pigment from them. What brush do you use for these because they look beautiful on you and you have darker skin than me! Your makeup is just gorgeous (as is your skin). You definitely made me want that Monte Carlo duo eyeshadow. Thank you!
Ok, got the cushion foundation last week and initially I was meh. As I began using it with different tools e.g. beautyblender, brush etc... I prefer brush and wow, it is like skin and blurring. I have grown to really love it! Thank you for this video, so helpful. The only one I haven't tried yet is the powder but I'm dry so probably won't go that route.

Do you have any product on prior to each base application-I know you said you did apply cream products before the base during the powder demo-but do you have any concealer, color corrector, primer, etc. on your skin prior to the other 3 base applications or just skincare? Because, your skin is just absolutely perfect. I want my makeup base to look like your “before” base skin! It’s so luminous and creamy and even. I’m going to binge your videos and see what your skincare regimen looks like because whatever you’re doing (and hopefully it isn’t just great genes, for my sake) is magical! ❤subscribed!

All of these look beautiful on you, but then you have such perfect skin, why do you wear any foundation at all? All you need is a tinted moisturizer/mineral sunscreen. This was a wonderful video!
Your skin looks beautiful, so all of the foundations look fantastic on you. 🥰 The cushion foundation hasn’t launched in Australia yet, but the price for the amount of product you get is difficult to justify. The future skin gel is $125 here, and the compact powder is $115. I tried the Just Skin years ago and I found it to be a bit thicker in consistency than most tinted moisturisers. Not my favourite. 😊
Thanks Cathy! The tinted moisturizer is definitely thicker, which is why I think it has the most coverage. But once applied I love it. I can see how others might not love the consistency though.

I just ordered the Chantecaille gel and blurring powder to see if they can do more for me in a more natural finish than the Nars light reflecting foundation. Oh my goodness, my 30s were so much easier! It was all Bobbi Brown one and done. In a way though, as expensive as this experiment has been-I’m feeling good to not give up on feeling pretty in a post-Covid/work from home world.

I use all my foundations for at least 2 years, but I can't tell you how long these last using them daily...I have too many foundations to use the same one everyday. LOL

I think you will LOVE your cushion! The eye makeup was different every day in the demos, but most of them were from the Tarte Tartelette juicy palette. I think the tinted moisturizer one was my BK Beauty True Beauty palette. And if I remember correctly, I used the lip veil in Honeypot from Chantecaille every demo.

Ugh so hard to choose...I really like the cushion and have it in vanilla and it works beautifully, but I wanted to try another one. So because I have the cushion and like it so much, which one do you think I should next? Pretty please ...which one as an alterative... thinking about the jell or tinted one...
I have tired them all and while I did like them all- I don't like them better than my Jane Iredale and Beautycounter - esp for the price difference. Just a quick question - I notice I don't see you BUFF with HourGlass Radiant Light like you use to ALL THE TIME - have you stopped using a buffing powder? And, when you use a powder foundation, do you always use the JI spray?
I am glad you found some that you love so much. I do still buff, but not all the time since a lot of my foundations I have been using lately don't need it. And I got the Guerlain pearls recently that I have been using for that step. And yes, I always use some kind of mist after I use a powder foundation. :)
Does this have any silicones. With my dry skin I feel like silicone products just sit on my skin. Especially skin primers. Your skin is flawless I wouldn’t put anything on but some of the products have u a great glow❤️

Hey Terri! Yes, the Perfect Finish Blurring powder is fairly new. They brought it out in a limited edition launch and then made it permanent. The HD is more mattifying than the perfect blur. I think you would like the blur if you have drier skin and the hd is you want a more matte look. I love them both!
I am wearing the Chantecaille bronzer in the intro and outro where I am wearing a black shirt, but I am wearing the Bare Minerals bronzer in all of the finished looks in the demos.
Great info! I’d love to try the cushion foundation!! Went thru your link to Nordstrom’s to order but they do not have any info on the shades, just color names. Could you recommend a shade or 2 for me? I’m probably 1 or 2 shades below you. I typically wear an ivory or light shade w/ neutral undertones (or pink if I have to choose that way). As I get a little sun I can wear a light-medium shade, but I’m not there yet lol. I’m considering the Vanilla, Aura & Alabaster. I’m not sure which is the right shade. Could you list these colors from lightest to darkest? Your my fav beauty guru! Thx so much!! FYI - I’m 56 years young!

In all three liquid foundations, I think you will find Nude as your best match. Have not tried the powder foundation, just the HD powder on top of the liquid foundations. It is all beautiful 🤩 and wears well. 💓
Hey June! Definitely try the powder foundation on top. Very pretty. I have tried some samples of Nude in the other liquids and don’t like them as much to match my self tan. 🥰

I do believe I have the wrong colour, but I just find it very ordinary? I do like the Future Skin but not crazy about the Real Skin (is it?).....it’s just ok. I don’t know if you have tried the Suqqu cream foundation.......I find it absolutely stunning. Shade is an issue ...I’m on 2nd ‘bingo’ shade and love it. It gets better and better as the day goes by.......just so nice. Hope you try it at some point, ‘hiccup’ if you have? Actually, any(thing) looks good on you.
Is the future skin cushion foundation actually the same formula in the jar ??? I have looked in to the ingredients on both. They are not exactly the same. But since they are both called “ Future foundation”. I was thinking maybe the formulas are different because they are being presented in different containers, Hence the slightly different ingredients. Can you help with my thought process. I definitely would appreciate your thoughts on this.
I love the tinted moisturizer in Wheat. I usually don't put sunscreen under it. I'm wondering what sunscreen I CAN put under it for more protection. I've been using Elta MD Clear SPF 46 for daily wear WITHOUT makeup but I find it very drying. I'm worried with all that Titanium Dioxide I'll look like a lizard! Any suggestions? OH and I purchased the Chantecaille powder foundation and it is fabulous - thank you!
I use either my Elta MD Restore or my Alastin Mineral Hydratint everyday under every foundation I wear, and they both work great under all of these. So glad you love the powder foundation!!

Thank you so much for this video! I have my eyes on the cushion foundation and I getting more confused the more I Google! Some says it's more coverage then the other once, some says it's super sheer comparing with the other two. Some says it's perfect and some says it's so drying and powdery, even if both has dry skin. So far I have not figured out if I am vanilla or nude. I am tanning a lot in the end of the summer if we have a lot of sun (you never know) and going from around nc20 to around nc27 if it's super much sun.I looking for a non spf foundation to use in middle of August for my dry and dehydrated skin, but I don't like to be shiny glowing just natural sheen. I often look patchy and powdery on my nose with foundations, like it slippery. I have very cold golden yellow undertone on my body and pink on the face in the end of the summer and I always have struggl to find a good colour match to even out the huge difference between the body and the face. Especially due to the tan can change within two weeks and the foundation that worked just looking off. I have redness in my cheeks and nose that I like to even out. Most foundation look very peachy-orange or pink-ashy on me. What colour do you think is best for me? Is the cushion foundation a good choice or should I look for something else? What do you think? I don't think I would compare the light wonder to the cushion. It has similar coverage, but I find the cushion to be more blurring and not as luminous, and I feel like I have to set the light wonder, whereas I don't with the cushion. I hope that helps!

I use all my foundations for at least 2 years, but I can't tell you how long these last using them daily...I have too many foundations to use the same one everyday. LOL

I was researching whether or not the cushion foundation was good for oily skin - I had no idea the compact foundation existed! I had to go out and buy it in person for a trip. I will eventually come around to getting the cushion foundation though because I'm just so curious!

I know they're different products but would you recommend CaliRay Skin Tint, the Inika Powder with Moisturizer mixture, or Chantecaille Cushion for dry skin with slight redness, expression/fine lines, and who wants fast, easy and beautiful? Will primer be needed?
I think the fastest would be the cushion for sure. And I don't use primer with any of these options, and love them all.

Thanks to you, I now know - its the future skin cushion for me. I'm a natural girl, like easy and don't necessarily want to powder. I think you will LOVE your cushion! The eye makeup was different every day in the demos, but most of them were from the Tarte Tartelette juicy palette. I think the tinted moisturizer one was my BK Beauty True Beauty palette. And if I remember correctly, I used the lip veil in Honeypot from Chantecaille every demo.

Ugh so hard to choose...I really like the cushion and have it in vanilla and it works beautifully, but I wanted to try another one. So because I have the cushion and like it so much, which one do you think I should next? Pretty please ...which one as an alterative... thinking about the jell or tinted one...
I think the Gel is the most similar to the cushion, so if you want to try something different, I would do the tinted moisturizer. :)

I have tired them all and while I did like them all- I don't like them better than my Jane Iredale and Beautycounter - esp for the price difference. Just a quick question - I notice I don't see you BUFF with HourGlass Radiant Light like you use to ALL THE TIME - have you stopped using a buffing powder? And, when you use a powder foundation, do you always use the JI spray?
I am glad you found some that you love so much. I do still buff, but not all the time since a lot of my foundations I have been using lately don't need it. And I got the Guerlain pearls recently that I have been using for that step. And yes, I always use some kind of mist after I use a powder foundation. :)
Does this have any silicones. With my dry skin I feel like silicone products just sit on my skin. Especially skin primers.

Hey Terri! Yes, the Perfect Finish Blurring powder is fairly new. They brought it out in a limited edition launch and then made it permanent. The HD is more mattifying than the perfect blur. I think you would like the blur if you have drier skin and the hd is you want a more matte look. I love them both!
Question. It says you are wearing the chanticalle bronzer but in the intro you said bare minerals bronzer. Which did you wear?
I am wearing the Chantecaille bronzer in the intro and outro where I am wearing a black shirt, but I am wearing the Bare Minerals bronzer in all of the finished looks in the demos.
Great info! I’d love to try the cushion foundation!! Went thru your link to Nordstrom’s to order but they do not have any info on the shades, just color names. Could you recommend a shade or 2 for me? I’m probably 1 or 2 shades below you. I typically wear an ivory or light shade w/ neutral undertones (or pink if I have to choose that way). As I get a little sun I can wear a light-medium shade, but I’m not there yet lol. I’m considering the Vanilla, Aura & Alabaster. I’m not sure which is the right shade. Could you list these colors from lightest to darkest? Your my fav beauty guru! Thx so much!! FYI - I’m 56 years young!

In all three liquid foundations, I think you will find Nude as your best match. Have not tried the powder foundation, just the HD powder on top of the liquid foundations. It is all beautiful 🤩 and wears well. 💓
Hey June! Definitely try the powder foundation on top. Very pretty. I have tried some samples of Nude in the other liquids and don’t like them as much to match my self tan. 🥰
So far Nude is my best in both the Just Skin and Future Skin. Have not tried the cushion foundation yet. May stop by Gus Mayer, Birmingham, tomorrow to sample. Fall items should be in soon! Love all!😍

I do believe I have the wrong colour, but I just find it very ordinary? I do like the Future Skin but not crazy about the Real Skin (is it?).....it’s just ok. I don’t know if you have tried the Suqqu cream foundation.......I find it absolutely stunning. Shade is an issue ...I’m on 2nd ‘bingo’ shade and love it. It gets better and better as the day goes by.......just so nice. Hope you try it at some point, ‘hiccup’ if you have? Actually, any(thing) looks good on you.

Is the future skin cushion foundation actually the same formula in the jar ??? I have looked in to the ingredients on both. They are not exactly the same. But since they are both called “ Future foundation”. I was thinking maybe the formulas are different because they are being presented in different containers, Hence the slightly different ingredients.

I love the tinted moisturizer in Wheat. I usually don't put sunscreen under it. I'm wondering what sunscreen I CAN put under it for more protection. I've been using Elta MD Clear SPF 46 for daily wear WITHOUT makeup but I find it very drying. I'm worried with all that Titanium Dioxide I'll look like a lizard! Any suggestions? OH and I purchased the Chantecaille powder foundation and it is fabulous - thank you!
I use either my Elta MD Restore or my Alastin Mineral Hydratint everyday under every foundation I wear, and they both work great under all of these. So glad you love the powder foundation!!

Thank you so much for this video! I have my eyes on the cushion foundation and I getting more confused the more I Google! Some says it's more coverage then the other once, some says it's super sheer comparing with the other two. Some says it's perfect and some says it's so drying and powdery, even if both has dry skin. So far I have not figured out if I am vanilla or nude. I am tanning a lot in the end of the summer if we have a lot of sun (you never know) and going from around nc20 to around nc27 if it's super much sun.I looking for a non spf foundation to use in middle of August for my dry and dehydrated skin, but I don't like to be shiny glowing just natural sheen. I often look patchy and powdery on my nose with foundations, like it slippery. I have very cold golden yellow undertone on my body and pink on the face in the end of the summer and I always have struggl to find a good colour match to even out the huge difference between the body and the face. Especially due to the tan can change within two weeks and the foundation that worked just looking off. I have redness in my cheeks and nose that I like to even out. Most foundation look very peachy-orange or pink-ashy on me. What colour do you think is best for me? Is the cushion foundation a good choice or should I look for something else? What do you think? Yes, I would check out the Real Techniques Powder brush. It is much less dense and applies it more sparingly.

You are really wonderful. The price tag on this brand is sooooo off putting to me. I like nice things but this is really uncomfortable and so difficult for me to justify.
I can understand how it can seem pretty steep and in some ways it is. I know how much the company gives back to philanthropic organizations, so I can easily justify it because of that alone. But again, can understand if you can't. xoxo

I don't think I would compare the light wonder to the cushion. It has similar coverage, but I find the cushion to be more blurring and not as luminous, and I feel like I have to set the light wonder, whereas I don't with the cushion. I hope that helps!
