I love the videos you make of the 125 cc quad since there is not much information on how to modify them to which you already have my subscription, do not stop making videos of the 125 cc quad
People talk negative about chinese atv's but the engines are great on these quads . As for the shocks ...even on japaneese quads people change the front and rear suspension .😊😊
Have any of you guys had problems with that chain adjuster on the swing arm? Ours actually pushed it up into the subframe or swing arm. Sorry and put a groove in the swing arm.
Only issue we’ve had with the tensioner is that it squeaks pretty loud. But keeps the tension well. My initial thought is that maybe your chain is too loose so the adjuster is lifting the chain TOO much.
I rode mountain bikes so I got a pump. I ordered these on eBay and am waiting, of course after the fact I checked Amazon and yup, next day but the damage was done. Amazon has way more colors too🤷🤦🙋
Love the video, I just want to clear up one thing. An "air" or "gas shock should have nitrogen. That is the inert gas in them. That is why the instructions say to not use an air compressor. I'm buying a pair of these for my girls
Air and gas shocks are different. In the older bikes yes nitrogen aka gas shock. New air forks or air shocks you literally use a small hand pump for bicycle tire.
280mm does not work for the apollo blazer 9 the the air reservoir hits the top of the control arm when you hit a bump and only my 10 year old son rides it.

Anyone get to compare a tao cheetah vs blazer 9? Wondering what one is better. They sell the tao ones by me but I can't find a blazer to compare it too...
You can go with a smaller front sprocket but you'll lose top end speed. If it was me I would go with a big bore kit, bigger PWK or a KOSO carb, external air filter and full exhaust. There's all kinds of upgrades for that engine. You can even get it a port and polished head with bigger valves, bigger cam, better ignition etc.... The list goes on and on. Also they have complete engines like the 190cc and 212cc ones that have 5 speed transmissions. Look up pit bike race engines and upgrades and you'll find a gold mine. There the same engines you just have to go by the location of the starter when you look them up. See if your starter is on top of the engine or on the bottom of the engine and go from there
Did you adjust them low or high? I’m a noob lol so any advice would help. I’m learning as I go. You are helping look smart in front of my son. Lol 🤣🤷🏻♂️🤫
First off. I bought my son a Apollo Blazer 7 125cc. Which is basically the same exact thing as the cheetah He loves it We been watching your channel with upgrades. What do you regret or Love and think I should do for my son. I have watched a lot of videos and everyone likes this upgrades. But I want to know. “Do you still really like them”. And would yo in get a (different) kind or what? Thanks bro keep up the vids and thanks for your help
Bought them for my daughter's Blazer nine and they are too long so there must be some difference between that model and the Blazer sending back to 320 mm and getting to 80 mm 🤞🤞
I just bought my son one of these for Christmas. It’s cools for him. It’s his first bike ever but I noticed it doesn’t have any sort of turning radius. Is this common with these Chinese atv’s? You know how I can fix this problem!
Hey Bro, nice vid btw, im in the market for a good shock absorber that has slow rebound just like what you showed here, my question is, how did you manage to adjust it so it wont just bounce? Or was it setup that way out of the box?
It was set up that way out of the box. I did mess with using a bike pump to add or take out air of the reservoir but it did not seem to make any difference.
Ohh shoot sorry I didn’t look at what video you commented on my mistake… yes it does “say” Nitrogen Reservoir. I went out on a limb and assumed they are not in fact nitrogen… if yours come with enough psi in them already yeah leave them as is.
Great comparison. Any suggestions for a back shock? My Granddaughters 125 is so stiff it won't compress under my weight (215 pounds) and she only weighs 50 pounds (7 years old).
Is it this same quad? Because ours is stiff but it will sag and compress with me sitting on it. You can adjust the preload all the way down which may help. Otherwise look for a 280mm eye to eye length shock of your choice. I have not gone that route yet and cannot recommend any.
Only one that has been tested and recommended by others for a softer ride is this one www.whygostock.com/upgraded-suspension-rear-shock-only-for-taotao-larger-youth-models/
Havent seen one for this model specifically. There are plenty of "universal' options. Honestly the stock one on this model is pretty good. They made it more of a racing style muffler. But you could def buy a similar size exhaust and modify it to work with this atv.
thanks dope vid, very informative, im going to heck your channel and see if you have any more vids about this one. im about to buy one of these, there's one for sale in my neighborhood ... the guy wants $300 for it was wondering if it was worth it, its not running tho, and he says its the carb... idk , how much does it cost to get a carburetor for the lil quad... trying to just figure if its worth it, its supposedly like 14 ride hours, lol... go figure.
Everyone says it’s just the carb when they cant get it to run. But likely he’s right. If that’s it then it’s probably a good deal. If you buy it I’d start with a simple carb cleaning. The carb is so small that the jets get clogged up easy.
Shocks are still good. As far as "feedback on them", think of them as just softer cheap china shocks. Cause that's what they are. But that is exactly what this machine needs.
I wish I could’ve stopped you in time. Chinese Quads are not the way to go for your kids. Ever. They are dangerous.. they flip over easily, the brakes DO NOT work. There’s no suspension. It’s fake. And the chain will almost ALWAYS pop off at the worst time and will destroy the motor. These will never hold value. The minute you buy them for $1700, they immediately drop to $400. Good luck ever getting anybody to buy them. I hope you didn’t actually buy these. Go get them a trx250 for the same price.
@@BWADaniel I appreciate your input. Kids safety is soo important and putting them on an any ATV should not be taken lightly. This can be a very dangerous activity in a split second.
