Having two movies with Michael Myers before Season of the Witch is what made it so bewildering. Had the second Halloween movie been Season of the Witch, the anthology idea possibly could have taken off. But it's just unheard of to have two movies that are tied together, then introduce a part three and try to turn it into some kind of evolving series.
I just recently watched H20 and I thought it was great. It should’ve ended the series. It was a great callback to the original. I’m sad James didn’t mention the very subtle and powerful moments where Michael and Laurie come face to face. It’s silent, but says more than any words could. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic. I went into the movie not expecting anything, and came out really impressed. The ending caught me totally off guard too. It’s number 2 on my list.
I also liked those moments where she and he came face to face. It made her struggle against him that much more powerful, and also acted as a means of showing us that Laurie was done running, and turned to face her fears.
I love listening to James just talk about movies or games in a relaxed tone. I don't know what it is, he's truly great. Super knowledgeable and easy to relate too.
This, Jason, and Freddy deep dive are by far my favorite videos that James has done. I have had them on in the background so many times while I did chores or cleaned my home or others. The reason for this is you don't have to very actively watch or listen to it exactly to enjoy it. I really wish he did more like Chucky or Leprechaun or others. James you are awesome.
Just watched this before going to see Halloween (2018) next week. Love watching this type of content of yours, you sum everything together so well. So much I wasn’t aware off too. Keep up the good work :) this was a great watch.

@Anthony Oliver Parker Talk about small minded. At least Mr. Sutherland got the year right, lol. And I think the word you're groping for is 'sequel', not 'is the direct number 2'...
Has anyone noticed the parallels between Halloween and the Terminator (1984), indestructible killer, chasing young woman, a man who knows the killer and is trying to destroy him resulting in scenes like the roommate of the young woman being killed.
Fun Fact for all people outside of New Jersey. I live near the town of Haddonfield, NJ and you know what town is next to it? A little town called Voorhees
I always thought the 1thing mike had going for him over other slashers was he could take his mask off and blend in. Can you imagine jason driving around stalking victims? I wonder if dropping jamie as a potential killer has anything to do with f13th flirting with turning tommy jarvis into a killer. The series both tried to seperate themselves from each other. Lead pipe and stones are still better than getting beat up by busta rhymes.
I've seen your movie marathon videos a few times. It's not that I don't remember what you said. I just like to hear you talk about stuff, and explaning things.
I don't particulary hate the Remake but i don't love it either it was ok, i think my main issue with it was that Michael's backstory with his fucked up family feels cliché, in fact i believe that it'd have been way creepier if he had a relatively happy childhood and even then he becomes a serial killer. But then again we have We need to talk about Kevin which is awesome.

The famous Belinda Carlisle Song: Anti-Michael Circles In The Sand
No those only protect against a Sea-Michael attack, you have to draw a square on land
Make sure not to make an oval!
Seriously, Michael must be like Wolverine with that healing factor.
I always pretend Resurrection is just the movie adaptation of the security guards book.
Ha!
Kinda cool.
Halloween 1 and 2 are my favorite horror movies
Having two movies with Michael Myers before Season of the Witch is what made it so bewildering. Had the second Halloween movie been Season of the Witch, the anthology idea possibly could have taken off. But it's just unheard of to have two movies that are tied together, then introduce a part three and try to turn it into some kind of evolving series.
Good ole Michael, Jason, and Freddy.
That moment where you realize Antman got 1 up on Michael Myers.
Raymond Bostaph we got ant man vs Michael Myers. now let's get deadpool vs Jason!
i still remember when these reviews had actual, moving footage, not just still images :(
of course Halloween on Halloween.
And the movies are playing all day on amc
Pie Pivotmontier-O Why not, right?
Non ches heap up jlid
You watch a lot of good content. I see you on Emplemon, Rebeltaxi, Numbere1 and now Cinemassacre. You got good taste.
Sergio Navarro desperate for bait sad really
Halloween 7: The Trail of Michael Myers.
Lee Perkins Halloween 8: Michael Myers' Madness
Halloween 9: Michael Myers Forever
Nerd Zone Halloween X:Mystery of Michael
Halloween 8: The Reality of Micheal Myers
Halloween 9: The shitty Remake of Micheal Myers
Halloween 10: The shitty Remake Sequel of Micheal Myers
Ryan Uva Halloween 11:A Christmas Story
I just recently watched H20 and I thought it was great. It should’ve ended the series. It was a great callback to the original. I’m sad James didn’t mention the very subtle and powerful moments where Michael and Laurie come face to face. It’s silent, but says more than any words could. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic. I went into the movie not expecting anything, and came out really impressed. The ending caught me totally off guard too. It’s number 2 on my list.
agreed there I've personally always liked H20.
The series will never end, haven't you got that yet? None of them will.
I also liked those moments where she and he came face to face.
It made her struggle against him that much more powerful, and also acted as a means of showing us that Laurie was done running, and turned to face her fears.
Felt like a “scream” wanna be to me
Loomis is such a good character.
Halloween III is borderline great. Worth watching and re watching
That was excellent! I was gripped and interested the whole video. Didn’t want it to end
Wepp, Link shoots with a sword...
Only when he has full hearts
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was hilarious 😄😄
I love Halloween III, so atmospheric and creepy.
I never realized that was Paul Rudd in Halloween 6....
who the hell is paul rudd??
Ben Conway the guy that plays Ant Man in the MCU..
@@benconway9010 sorry. It’s Paul Stephen Rudd in the credits
H2(2009) Michael: “DIE!”
Halloween Kills: “Give it back…”
"his head came off it didnt look like he'd be coming back" that one got me for some reason lol
I agree. I enjoyed the Rob Zombie remake. But part 2 of Rob Zombies movie...ugh.....
At least we have a great Halloween 2018 now!
I'm extremely curious as to how many hours were spent making this video. Just watching all the movies took me ages with a complete collection. Thank you for this!
Damn......H4 Michael has such a straight hairline
The main trilogy is...
Halloween (1978)
Halloween 2 (1981)
Halloween H20 (1998) Also....
*D O E S H E S H O O T K N I V E S ?*
Halloween (1978)
Halloween (2018)
@Mr. Sutherland you right
@Anthony Oliver Parker Talk about small minded. At least Mr. Sutherland got the year right, lol. And I think the word you're groping for is 'sequel', not 'is the direct number 2'...
I prefer 1,2,4
Mr. Sutherland not really
Halloween + Halloween 2 + H20 = perfect trilogy
Totally
22:07 Actually it's hinted that her stepmother survived but she's never seen throughout Part 5
Carpenter makes the best scores
John Carpenter learned that time from his father, believe it or not.
Yep and Alan Howarth too.
Halloween III was very underrated!
10:40 R.I.P Ben Trammer. You deserved better. 😩
Tell it, Candie!
Hope we get to see him in Halloween Kills or Halloween Ends.
Never forget
Thanks I like these movie flashbacks, James. I got a recreated vcr shop too, with a lot of b-movies in my attic in Holland.
Has anyone noticed the parallels between Halloween and the Terminator (1984), indestructible killer, chasing young woman, a man who knows the killer and is trying to destroy him resulting in scenes like the roommate of the young woman being killed.
There's 2 types of horror films, the horror films before Halloween and the horror films after Halloween.
James, you should do a "Wrong Turn" Movie Series review
eyextraction your comment honestly has no correlation and no form of connection to his original comment
Those movies aren't iconic or classic. I think they should waste away in the bin.
Michael Pickle is your last name really Pickle?
james is one of the people that leaves a bowl of candy at his door
"hes a burning corpse! thats deader than hes ever been!".
*watches halloween ends*
"on second thought...".
Fun Fact for all people outside of New Jersey. I live near the town of Haddonfield, NJ and you know what town is next to it? A little town called Voorhees
Shatner's face huh!? I never knew that. Thanks Nerd.
edgy.
@@justiny.5795 Faker lol
You must be a new fan
Yea man, makes Shatner a bit more creepy, huh? Also, Michael should sing Rocketman in the style of William Shatner.
I wish halloween 3: season of the witch, was more appreciated, it should've been an anthology series (but I did like the 4th halloween squeal)
I've seen your movie marathon videos a few times. It's not that I don't remember what you said. I just like to hear you talk about stuff, and explaning things.
I simply love these old monster madness episode. I hope you make a comeback, just you speaking about something that you love, horror movies
Happy Halloween, Cinemassacre team!
I don't particulary hate the Remake but i don't love it either it was ok, i think my main issue with it was that Michael's backstory with his fucked up family feels cliché, in fact i believe that it'd have been way creepier if he had a relatively happy childhood and even then he becomes a serial killer. But then again we have We need to talk about Kevin which is awesome.
don't cut yourself on that edge.
I always wished Rob Zombie's Halloween went more down a psychological route than remaking the original.
"Does he shoot people with a knife?" You owe me a keyboard, 'cause I threw beer up on my keyboard."
Why does someone owe you something for something YOU did?
@@jojoface4940 Why ask why
I have never thought that so many people could be the same character as long as they didn't ever reveal their face!! Masterpiece!
please come back to this when the current trilogy finishes
Halloween 2018 , Halloween Kills 2021, and Halloween Ends 2022.
I did enjoy this video nerd ! I hope you come back for the current trilogy !
No witch in the 3rd movie? What the hell are you talking about?! The main villain is the freaking witch!
Strongwind true
Our good friend James hasn't heard of a Warlock.
Malus Phillips 🤣
Halloween 666 would've been a good title.
I'm glad to hear this, because it just reminded me that Halloween H20 is literally the same fucking plot as the 2018 Halloween film, but everyone chose to forget that!
Same plot, different execution. Laurie is a different character in 2018 and in 2018 world, Halloween 2 never existed.
I love going back and watching all your classic Halloween themed videos year after year!
I remember a time when it was nearly impossible to find a copy of "the curse of michael myers" I was convinced I had the only dvd copy because noone I talked to even knew the movie existed.
