  • In this video I was on the hunt for some new rubber for the rear tyres. Also with a bit of downtime I thought it would be a good idea to clean up the 355 stroker engine.
    Rubber is Nankang - 295/50R15
    Still waiting on some parts so some exciting episodes coming up.
    Thanks for watching and subscribe for more videos.

    The long studs are for track and drag use incase the wheel becomes loose you dont instantly loose it.For street you can cut as required. I put a couple of nuts togeteher on the studs so i could cut all to exactly the same length with a cutting disc on mine.

    The money spent on getting the extractors ceramic coated is worth it for both looks and thermal protection. I wouldn’t fit extractors on of my cars again without coating them first.

    Hey mate loving the videos! Just wondering about front wheels and tyres as well as rears are the wheels both the same sizes front and back just with different treads or have you got staggered wheels and tyres?

    • @ShenkeGarage

      Hey Mate the rears are 10 inch rims and I believe the fronts are 7 inch rims. The rims are all 15 inch diameter

    Hey mate long shot but I’m fixing up my tonner and wanting to keep the original front do you know much about the difference in the cowls hq-hx as mines a hx with the factory front on it still

    • @ShenkeGarage
      @ShenkeGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mate the Cowl for a HQ only fits HQ as the section that welds to the dash is different. The other version for HJ - HX are pretty much the same except for where they weld to the Dash. So if you have a HX then you will want a Cowl to suit HJ - HX

    Hey mate. Looking good. Just wondering if cutting the studs would affect the tensile strength of them. Would you be better off getting shorter ones instead. They will have a fair bit load on them when the rubber bites. Cheers

    • @ShenkeGarage
      @ShenkeGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mate I think they will be fine cutting them back slightly. The load will be at the base of the stud so cutting an inch off wont cause any strength issues.
