Rick, you just continue to turn out superior instruction videos. I’m 75 years old, and have been playing since 5th grade. But it was only concert band stuff, until 1997, when I started playing a set, with a big band that lasted for 20 years. I can swing a band, but my technique is limited. I never had lessons until you came along. Now, I’m practicing using fingers on the sticks, and exercises to build speed and independence. Keep those lessons coming, Rick. I’m loving it. 👍
Thanks heaps Rick for your video , i have had the book for some time and having someone shine a little light on the book process and of the performance of playing the book is great. Thanks again for your time and help.
Sorry for second comment but looks like great book . Btw just a bit of history. Buddy did get lessons latter in his career to read . Reading is a great skill to learn & great option .
Jazz is not my thing but I can really appreciate someone that can play it so well, as I've mentioned my drum teacher from years ago could do it really well so it has sentimental value and takes me back.
I’m looking at getting calftone heads by evans on my jazz kit and those Remo are very similar. My questions what heads do you use for the reso? Thank you! Love your videos. They really help in adding to my rep to be a better teacher.

Thank you for going through this book! I’ve had it for some time, but never really dug into it. I’m going to follow along.
I bought it not long ago, and now you get access to all the exercises as files online. No CDs. Very convenient, and easy to loop
Some day I'd love to see you perform live. Love your teaching! Thank you so for sharing your talent and I just ordered the book.
Love the sound of your kit and cymbals beautiful!

Amazing playing - would be better as a tutorial if the audio and video were in sync.
They are in sync.
Are you using Bluetooth headphones or speakers?
That would create an audio delay.
Love this book! Thanks 🙏
