This video is so good, ahh. I love how in-depth you go in such short time, and how well-structured and patiently you lay out the points you make.
It made a good few light bulbs go off for me, and I've watched quite a few guides that all failed to illuminate many of these points I now consider absolute crucial knowledge.
For instance: I wish any of the other guides (I came across) would have cared to mention how "wall-to-wall" pulling is dangerous in ARR because there's no limitation to how much you can pull.
Not knowing this and trying to comply with what every other guide says "pull everything!" has caused me multiple embarrassing and frustrating party-wipes without having a clue why.
    Thanks for the great work!✊

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment! That makes me so happy to hear! 😊
I am sure you are much better equipped to be not just a good tank, but an excellent tank when you think and care about these aspects yourself, too!
I hope you have a wonderful day, as your comment certainly made mine better!

Finally, a tanking guide that actually gives useful information instead of just memeing or regurgitating things that even total newbs already know.

I know it's been a long time sice the video came out but thank you for all the guide videos you provide :) it really helps a lot!
What i wanted to say about the part with "letting the dps dye" when they pull for you: yeah when you are in the middle of a pull and they decide that that's not enough is not the best but there is always a possibility to work with that and get more confidence as a tank when you actually survive it o/ but what really drives me crazy is when a dps decides to do the initial pull especially on bosses :o

Yeah, it is frustrating! There is no doubt about that! I can only suggest a way to try and make the most of what you get 😅
It is also just scary when others pull for you in general!

Still a new player, and I am determined to play a Paladin, and every time I cope out and start a new dps job I feel bad about it a few levels in. Not sure why I have so much anxiety over this as I was a Tank in Swtor for years.

after playing scholar up to lv 50 I want to try the warrior but I get some anxiety thinking about attracting enemies badly since when I was the healer I saw the tanks attract between 3 to 5 packs of enemies and they almost died and even though I managed to save them with my heart about to burst I don't have the confidence that the healer who touched me would do the same, I know it's a matter of practice since when I started with the scholar I also got anxiety, but I respect a lot the tanks who believe in his healer❤
ps: endwalker ate half of collective unconscious

Warrior is an excellent choice for your first tank! If you need a guide for the job, then my 1-50 guide from shadowbringers is still (mostly) up to date. The big change with Berserk is adressed in the very start of my 50-90 guide in some capacity, alongside the comment on the 1-50 guide 🙂
In dungeons in general, it is commonly accepted that you can pull 1-2 packs at a time, but in high level dungeons, this is because the dungeon literally does not allow you to pull more!
This can often confuse high level players in low level dungeons, or players in general.
Even in low level dungeons, pulling 2 packs WITHOUT proper defensive cycling ( 7:30 ) can stress your healer. Pulling even more than that, then the tank is pushing the entire group to the limit! The tanks defensives, the healers mana, the Damage dealers damage potential!
If you are concerned for your healers as a new starting tank - Good that you care about your team - then you can always ask your healer how much they are comfortable with you pulling. Pulling very little can result in impatient players attempting to pull for you though, so just be prepared for that ( 12:49 ). The worst that can happen is a wipe, and that is ok 🙂
I am glad to hear that you are doing really well with healing, too! I am sure you can get great with tanking as well!
ps: Heehee, I am glad someone noticed / pointed it out 😁

What's with the logo wiping across the screen at 9:45?

Thats the endwalker logo because it ate that part of the ability when the expansion came out!
