I am leaving Kathmandu for the first time. Join me on a little journey to the mountains of Chandragiri. It's just a 45 min drive away from the center of Kathmandu, so a perfect little escape from the big city. In order to get up the the mountain and to a total height of over 2500m, I had to take a cable car. Definitely not for people who are scared of heights! Up on the hills in Chandragiri, I also met a lot of friendly locals. Join me as we are leaving Kathmandu for the first time on this trip.

Wow.... Last time i actually took a cable car ride was in Hong Kong ( to Lantau Island - Big Buddha ) and we took the ones with the transparent glass.... Freaky but exciting though..... Knowing Nepal, which is already surrounded by the Himalayans...Breathtaking ..The best thing about travelling, you will and get to meet locals and foreigners alike....Great experience .. The spot where you take photos with locals is actually the place where King Prithvi Narayan saw Kathmandu Valley; he took that route to enter the valley around 1743 AD to capture the valley. His dynasty ruled here until Nepal become a republic in 2008.
Nepal was divided into many small kingdoms and principalities, King Prithvi Narayan unified Nepal into modern-day Nepal. So he is also known as the founder of Nepal. He has great importance in our history.
In Nepal the weekend off day is only on Saturday. No 2 days off days. 6 days working days in a week.❤

That statue you see there was of the king that unified small kingdomes of nepal into 1 country nepal. He is great king prithivi narayan shan. That part was the point he look at the ktm valley and make stratgy for its unification.
