I have to leave Kathmandu immediately! There are actually still a few places left in Kathmandu that I'd like to see, but I am kind of forced to leave. I will explain in the video why. Join me on the journey to two other places here in Nepal. I also randomly bumped into some other TH-camrs, whose videos I have seen before, but I never met them in person. Check out their channel too ‪@FloraandNote‬

I am Ken Abroad, a full-time traveler traveling southeast Asia, east Asia and south Asia. It is my goal here on the channel to visit every country in these Asian regions and bring you along the journey.
You won’t see many tourist places in my videos, I rather like to show the “real” sides of each country in my videos. Where do the local people go to eat? Where do they hang out? How do the locals travel through the country? Stuff like that.

There are 3 Durbar Squares, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur and Patan durbar Square. Before 1769 Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan were seprate Kingdoms. Each had a Palace and a Square. The Kings would try to out do each other with better Architectures too.

Yeah but after Shah dynasty, Kathmandu became Nepal's capital where more iconic palaces and temples were built and reconstructed there but in Bhaktapur, most of the temples and palaces were never reconstructed after earthquakes that occurred every century

Sorry to hear about your respiratory infection. I lived in Nepal for 2 years, when I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer there back in the late 90s. There are sooo many majestic views of the Himalaya. If you get a chance, must go trekking to one of the base camp. It was THE experience of a lifetime for me. No pollution there in the hills. As in any large cities, can only stay for a few days, and you need to get out of town, or wear a mask in public when walking in the streets, breathing the motorbike fumes.
