Heated steering wheel and cooled seats with Premium plus trim. If you want most power, switch to sport mode and push the accelerator past the detent. All Mazdas work like this. Even in normal mode it works the same. It would kick in both gas and electric engine.
Thanks for your comment! I did this once (of course after filming wrapped) but to have to do that each time you want a powerful kick kinda sucks haha. I loved the SUV in general though. Very comfy, and still sporty. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of the CX-70.
Yes it does go into hybrid mode. There are review videos demonstrating this. Mazda gives you a choice to set holding a % of charge while using the gas engine as generator. This allows to use gas for freeway / fast driving, and use electric for city / slow stop and go traffic where you get most out of your electric range
@@yippie6862 Mazda’s EPA numbers are really pessimistic. With charge hold set at 50%, in hybrid mode you will see better numbers. And when you accelerate the car’s electric boost is ready take load off the engine. Or will shut down when stopped. Which will yield 30-35 mpg real world easily.
Haha! I could’ve sworn I said that! Though it was touchscreen in the CarPlay mode, it still is positioned a little further away and I ended up using the rotary knob. I also don’t like tons of fingerprints.

Yes and yes.
Great Review! I appreciate the pros and cons and initial walk around of the video.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the feedback! Stay tuned for more videos 😁.

I was thinking that is a good replacement for the Mazda 5 minivan because the interior but it still works as a SUV.
What happens when the battery is depleted? Does it just go into hybrid mode? Does it effect the Hybrid MPG after the battery is depleted? Good review.

25 MPG is the worst case consumption scenario if you started with empty battery

It's touch screen in carplay and android. How you did review and don't know that? Lol

In all fairness, you need to go 5 menus deep to enable touch screen for Apple CarPlay.
@@David_Journey only once when you buy a car. Is it a problem?
@@Olehman set it for your phone that is paired and forget about it. No problem at all. I think they do no touch by default to avoid liability reasons.
