I own a pico4. Its a great headset once you replace the front cover. Its term of comfort, out of the 5+ headsets I owned, its definitely a top 3 in terms of long use.
To be honest, for some reason I find my HTC Vive Pro (1, with wireless module) a bit more comfortable, even though it is a bit heavier. It's a shame, as I do like the sharpness/clearness of the lenses, but I do think the colors of my Pro are better. If only HTC kept using OLED panels. Hopefully new (wireless) headsets will start using them again.
@SuperDre74 I Agree. As someone who owns both the Odyssey+ and Bigscreen beyond. Oled panels are so damn good. I hate my picos panels along with my quest2/3
@@someonelsy the facegasket. I too replaced it with one I bought from aliexpress. Also bought some controllerstraps so it will hold the controller 'glued' to your hands even if you open them. These are the two basic cheap extra's that'll make the Pico 4 much better.
The pico4 is a great headset especially for its age. I think the lack of multiplayer compatibility and exclusives let's it down in their store but other than that it is a fantastic all rounder. Praying we get a Pico5 soon but after all the rumours of them closing I got worried about buying things from their store any more. Would love to see them stay in the VR market 🤞
With Meta / Facebook now being as bad as Google and Microsoft when it comes to buying, creating a monopoly out of, then destroying businesses and developers, I really hope Pico comes out swinging with a new headset. So long as it has strong PCVR support they might have a new customer with me, I've had enough of Meta.
Hi Thomas. Since you have contacts again at Pico, any word on a rumored "Pico 4S" they are supposedly working on? This sounds interesting, I would like it to have upgraded pancake optics, a XR2 Gen 2 chip and most importantly, a DP link feature like the Pico Neo 3 Link. If you have any information about this Pico 4S, can you please shed some light or do you know but are restricted by a NDA? Any info you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated. :) I have a Pico 4, I like it better than the Quest 2, but not as much as my Quest 3, the optics of the Quest 3 are just insanely good! :)
Love my Pico 4, I also have a Quest 3, but it gathers dust. Its lighter, more comfortable, better field of view and can barely tell any difference in visual quality other than the colours are a little more vibrant on the Q3. But not enough for me to beat it with FOV and comfort
I heard other reviews saying wired and wireless wasn’t the best quality with wired being better. But I heard if u connect it wirelessly via virtual desktop it’s higher quality and faster than even the wired version and thru that way u can play oculus games from the oculus store
Wireless is superb on the Pico 4 as long as you have a dedicated Wifi 6 router. My Quest 3 gathers dust, I much prefer my Pico, better field of view, much more comfortable, lighter and can barely tell any difference in visual quality.
@@Blissiralabs two questions, how is wired on pico 4 and how stable is the software (like if you disconnect the headset will it struggle to reconnect to your pc? will the audio bug out when connecting to your pc like what sometimes happens with quest 2 link forcing you to disconnect and reconnect? {both of these have happened when i used the meta quest app})?
My Reverb G2 died few months ago, I needed a replacement quick. Got a Pico 4 for 309€ (new), I think the price/performance is unbeatable. Stock facial interface isn´t great and onboard audio is way worse than G2¨s but with mods both can be greatly improved. Im most likely getting a higher end headset later for seated vr gaming but even then I might keep the pico for motion control games using the virtual desktop wireless app.
Had the Pico 4 and i'm glad i sold it and swapped for a Quest 3, It's not bad but the Q3 is just better in all fields! The biggest 2 problems Pico has and will keep having are Content and Updates! The biggest pro's Meta has is that it has a big content library by now and it's growing, also the titles are getting better and bigger in comparison, Pico's is just small and so it's more for PCVR then standalone play. Second is Updates! Meta keeps updating their devices and not just simple updates but significant updates, real changes that make the device better and better!
One huge benefit of the Pico is the placement of the battery, as it avoids strain on the head while the Quest gives me a headache due to its heavy front, needing to tighten the band - i use custom facemasks on the Pico and tried that on Quest too where i still got headache.

What do you mean by front cover? Which one you mean? Sorry if this is a silly question

I love my Pico 4 for my PCVR, with sim racing and flight sims, this is the best for entry level pcvr gaming. I got it for around $250 bnew.
Any hints on when there will be news? RND is about new VR devices, right?

Good morning
It's back! baby!
thanks good news!!!!
Someone also ported beat saber to pico 4 😄
Sooooo this is just a commercial? What a bs.
Ich liebe meine Pico. Sie ist einfach bequemer als meine Quest 3.
I was about to buy a used one.
Don't, go for the Quest3 instead!
@@peterdocter4659except the Q3 is about twice as expensive.
@@peterdocter4659 thanks for your suggestion. I bought a quest 3 and it is so good!
what's new !!!!!!!!!
Video has fuck all to do with pico 5.
You need to make a video about your headset collection at some point.
Did that many many times
