- I take spin in the 2023 Ineos Grenadier for he first time. Its a wonderful piece of kit and a testament to what feels like quality engineering.

Basically an affordable G-Wagon for middle class folk with Defender-esque vibes 😎
Nice to see your take on it as an LR guy yourself.
Upper middle class.
These things are 85k
Agree, that was my inpressiong when I went for a test drive, especially how doors closed and built tough. I had one configured for 110K roughly but I backed out..maybe I wait for the next gen
It has nothing to do with a G wagon.
@@Fedgery007 - except all the mechanical engineering was done by Magna who build the G Wagon for Mercedes and a bunch of components eg the ladder chassis are from the same suppliers. Apart from that it has nothing to do with the G wagon it’s true.
I’m a Range Rover guy and very impressed. Could be my next vehicle.
Make sure you drive one for a decent amount of time before committing. On right hand drive models (I'm UK based), there's a hump on the floor in the driver's footwell. Forces you to sit at an angle, which kills your lower back after a while. Brilliant vehicle, but this is a deal breaker for lots of people.
Good review. Thanks.
Thank you.
Will have to wait two years and some solid depreciation. Very impressed
Grenadiers will start flooding the used car market after the warranty expires. European vehicles are very expensive to service and repair.
Yep. 👍. I like it. (Diesel for me ) It’s what the actual Defender should have been of sorts…possibly the next years model may have any bugs/kinks worked out - if any needed. 😬
Dang!!! The old defender 110 is no longer in production ..this Monstter is awesome💗🤘 l wanna own one❣🇲🇾
Well done.
I like the aesthetic, but then again, I’m a Land Rover guy.
I’d be curious to hear a 6-month or 12-month review to see if the ergonomics and the craftsmanship is appealing after “the honeymoon.”
Cheers!
One day I’ll buy one just like that one
I love the paint process on these...also you can turn that speed monitor off so it won't blink at you... Glad to see another rva TH-camr 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I'm subscribing now
Welcome
I want this so badly- from Tokyo Japan
Yes really a 4x4 with solid axels, thus the understeer but ideally a multiuse vehicle for farm or country estate use. Only thing they didn't match/consider from LR/RR days is use as dog carrier! The split rear door favors the crowded city where there's little room between cars to lower a gate. I've owned LR 88, 110 Defender and multiple 2-door RR's (gray market in US at the time) and having now test driving the Inios, think it would be appropriate for our farm. Now just a matter of winning the Lotto and convincing my wife! Cheers for a worthy review
It is the old thing … the one person who was most opposed to me marrying my present wife was my previous wife (who left me). Those folk who are most vociferous about the Grenadier (or the new Defender) are old Defender die hards. Old Defenders are no longer made (for a variety of reasons). Time to move on.
I had one configured and went for a test drive last month. To be honest, I like everything about it except the fact that the steering wheel does not center and I know it would take some time to get used to it, but that was a no-go for me. I almost ended up on the sidewalk.
alignment off?
A now their all for sale and on the lots!
If that’s what caused you not to want one, then yes, this vehicle isn’t for you. It’s never going to be the vehicle for you.
No , I believe it has nothing to do with the alignment, it is just design like that. You have to actively recenter the wheels after turning..which is very odd@@yourchava
Fair enough, and I decided not to buy one..@@Fedgery007
Design-wise it kind of resembles the old school Defender, but in a sort of conceived by 2 very close cousins sort of way. Oh and raised white letter tires always has and always will be a sin!
Hey, I can’t find our recent message exchange, sorry to be off topic. Was wondering - any thoughts on purchasing a warranty on a used 2013 Range Rover? 120k miles. Can you even get one? If you can, is there a go-to company?
I can’t see them honoring anything
I entertained the thought until I saw the dashboard. That's a deal breaker for me.
Everyone thinks this is a SUV. It’s made for off roading. It’s a 4x4.
It’s an SUV. It’s designed for utility and leisure. Everyone things all the other “SUVs” are SUVs. They’re not, they don’t have the utility bit 😂.
Really wanted it but very short on the dough.
Are there any horse socks?
These look way more like ARO's than Defenders in my opinion. I can't be the only one that sees it
Toyota land cruiser 76 series 👍👍👍
Warning.....stop now....Grenadier Woods....Grenadier Southside.....where does it end.....walk away before you get too deep 😀
Maybe in 15 yrs
Yep.
This is the ultimate ride
It looks better than a 110? No
Alpine windows that aren’t……tie down spots, oh OK.
Steering wheel seems way too small diameter for off road
That front track bar is going to be a problem. Hopefully the aftermarket is going to address that with a guard or relocation kit.
LOL, try finding dealer support for this car after they've taken your money. I will depreciate faster than the Challenger Shuttle.
Eh. Same could be said for the new defender, lack of parts, supplier issues etc. But it’s a valid point.
@@AddictedMotors Well, hardly. Jaguar Land Rover sell about 400,000 cars a year. Ineos will sell about fourteen, and ten of them will be returned to address defects. JLR have loads of dealerships and support. Ineos will depend on third party dealerships who will smell the desparation of a company trying not to have its image trashed.
Ineos is a rich man's vanity project, except that he is nowhere rich as Elon.
@@horsenuts1831 have you talked to owners about what that JRL support looks like? Not great, poor even. Broken, infotainment systems, leaking windshields, transmission issues and braking problems. These are not the calling cards of “dealership support”
I own a Grenadier Trialmaster and getting great dealer support here in little old Europe, so maybe it wont be as bad as you think.
@@Bartraeger Any major non software issues? Besides the annoying speed warnings.
2024. All US grenadiers are 2024 models.
Don’t think so, many have already been delivered. The rest of the world thinks a 2024 model must be built in 2024!
