- On Saturday the Willamette Shore trolley was open for business. I headed down to get the last run for the day in the neighborhood of Riverwood, there lies a Trolley Wig Wag which are rare now a days. The line runs on old Southern Pacific trackage and offers cool views along the Willamette River. enjoy this short 2 minute video of the Riverwood Wig Wag in action!

Oh the memories of the interurban from Star City, WV to Washington, PA , in rhe early 40s. It is got scrapped to support the war effort in WW II. For a little kid, what a joy to ride! ❤😂
“We can’t run trolleys there. The line isn’t electrified.”
“Hold my beer.”
Pretty cool !!!
thanks

I'm a Conductor on the Willamette Shore Trolley!
I rode the trolley a little while back, what are your years of service on the line?
@@pzone2301 Cool, I was a Conductor from 2016-2019. I've also been a Mechanic and done Maintenance of Way (MOW) for them from 2016 to present. I'm also the WST's Marketing Director. I'm still semi-affiliated with the WST. I'm actually also working in Guest Services for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers.
