Your analogy for some reads being junk food is too good! I am such a fan of historical fictions, literature, and classics, but a cute romance is my junk food. And a good mystery every now and again is like a glass of wine. 😂
I’m currently reading Vladimir by Julia May Jones and it’s really good! About a 58 year old woman obsessed with a new young colleague. It’s really addictive so far, I feel you might enjoy it as well!
we have such similar taste in books i love it!! also i'm currently re reading the score and i was actually thinking the same things lol but i'm still in love with dean (especially since i picture him as matthew noszka🤭) Acts of desperation is on my tbr and your review made me want to read it even more!
Well I must have been in the wrong mood reading LUSTER because I disliked it and couldn't understand all the rave reviews(2 stars... would have been 1 but the writing was good) Totally agree with you about the Finlay series... I gave Jumps the Gun 3.5 stars, but the more I think about it, 2-3 stars would have been more accurate 🤷🏻♂ Had to immediately order UK cover of Acts of Desperation because US cover is trash 😁 I finished Kiss The Sky in March so that was my favorite read(not counting my reread of Jade City & Daisy Jones) 🤗
I agree about the novella or more information in the gap of The Housemaids Secret. I really wanted that. I also think some of what was mentioned during that time period would’ve made a great story.
Hello, Jaime 🌻I wanted to tell you that your videos literally bring so much ☀sunshine☀to my life! You brought so much light into my life, thanks for being here for us! ♥ Also, wanted to recommend a book by an indie author - girl, I LOVE HER WRITING - Presuming You by Sana Khatri! It's a plus size Hollywood romance with some 🔥SPICE🔥it's on KU! Sending love from Portugal xoxo🔴🟡🟢
megan nolan, get off jaime’s CASE!! but no fr your spiel on acts of desperation made me want to pick it up at some point! and I believe ms nolan has another book coming out later this year called ‘ordinary human failings’ so no offence 👀

Thank you for telling me the tw for a man called ove I can’t believe I haven’t heard it either!
Definitely felt the same way about A Man Called Ove. The only Frederick Backman that I dnfed.
I've had lost & found on my kindle forever and your the first person I've heard talk about it
I find it really upsetting that people don't mention there's a suicide plot in A Man Called Ove. I really appreciate you mentioning that!
You should read The Stolen Heir by Holly Black. It was so fun to be back in the cruel prince world even though the characters are different

"Does the protagonist have a name?" is such a mood.
I never knew Ove was about that. They also made it into a movie called A Man Called Otto. I haven't seen it yet
there's also a swedish movie which uses the original title!
The Longing of Lone Wolves or Royal assassin
This Woven Kingdom is an excellent YA fantasy too. It has a sequel that just came out too. ❤
ooh thank you so much! i'll be looking it up asap!
i had the SAME experience with luster! it plunged me even deeper into a reading slump and i've heard the same happened to other people 🧐
