even though I had hoped to read more this month, I was actually still really happy with the books that I actually read! They were stunning and multiple kind of weird, strange horror vibes✨️But I'm really looking forward to lighter, romance-y reads in May!💗I also agree with the love triangles, as long as they actually spend quality time with both love interests so it's not TOO obvious who they will end up with
My highlighted 5 star read this month was To Be Devoured by Sara Tantlinger!! If you’re looking for a short horror with hint of thriller… this is it. I’m mind blown how short it was and the impact it had. The writting was phenomenal . TW: cannibalism, animal death, dealing with grief, obsession
April was such a good month for you!! I was in a bit of a slump so I’ll read your recommendations from your video because I love your bookish taste so much! Also yes to books about cats and books 🥹
My favorite book was the Shadow Demons Sage series book 5. It's called Rival Demons. It was so good! I am now reading book 6 which is called Demons Forever by Sarra Cannon. I highly recommend the book series! Lots of twists and turns which makes the series so good!
I always see super popular reviews on the summer of broken dreams when I gave it a 2 stars, and it's very validating to hear that we have the same opinion on it so thank you for making me not feel crazy
I think the best book I read in April was advika and the Hollywood wives. I was intrigued the whole time! even when the main character was making bad decisions, the way it was written made me want to keep following their journey and understand where they were coming from.
so happy you had an excellent reading month!! i read Other People's Clothes immediately after you finished it and recommended it, because i really wanted to read a book set in germany for a change, and it was soooo good!! absolutely loved it
I had a great reading month in April! My favorites were The Collected Regrets of Clover (an ARC copy) by Mikki Brammer, Chrysalis by Anna Metcalfe, Pomegranate by Helen Elaine Lee and Natural Beauty by Ling Ling Huang. I also read Bunny by Mona Awad for Easter and that was a WILD ride.
great wrap-up! my fav books of April were icebreaker, reluctantly yours and does it hurt (also I read flawless, but it wasn't 5 star read for me, still enjoyed it tho!!)
This video convinced me to pick up 'Other People's Clothes' and 'White Hot Kiss'. Unfortunately, I've been having such a bad reading year till now. The only books I enjoyed were Daisy Jones and The Six and Cinder. It feels like I'm in an endless reading slump. I've tried to read something from (almost) every genre but nothing is making me scream, cry or grip my seat. I'm currently 70% through 'The Cat Who Saved Books' and I've been enjoying it a lot!! I love the dry humour of the characters and the cute banter between Sayo and Rintaro. Really hoping that's it's a 4/5 star read 😭🤞🏻
I love your channel! I was going to ask, could you do a ranking system for the BookTok books you have read and liked/not like? I’ve come to see that we both have the same general sense of reading interest, so I would love to get your opinion on them!!!!❤
Definitely have to pick up The Cat Who Saved Books. I read two books in March because life got busy and I was feeling kind of bad about it because I never read so little. But what a silly thing that is to think 🤔
I’m in a book slump rn but I’m reading Tress of the Emerald Sea. I hate reading slumps bc I want to read but I can’t for more than 2 or 3 pages without giving up lol
i totally understand that! i also hate reading slumps but i find it better to just ride them out rather than force myself to read, and after a week or so i'll be itching to pick up a book again!
I read and loved Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom in April, so of course I had to watch Shadow and Bone and found myself so disappointed with how they wrote the Crows into the storyline, the deserved so much better..
All I can say is congratulations to you on your well done with your 15 books 📚 read for the last month of April please stay safe and healthy and prayers and thoughts to you and your boyfriend and your families love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤

My guess on the vlog we are getting soon is “Reading pink books for a week/weekend/24hours”
Yes!!! I loved The Legacy I know a lot of people didn’t like it but it felt so real and it made me laugh with all their connections!
yes so true!
Definitely have to pick up The Cat Who Saved Books. I read two books in March because life got busy and I was feeling kind of bad about it because I never read so little. But what a silly thing that is to think 🤔
ahh yes the cat who saved books will absolutely change that mindset!
