Ironically, I was trying to pull out of a strange uncontrollable sleep like, but not sleep, type of seizure the first few times I was listening to this one today. Of course I tried to fight it off but my body would not let me retain consciousness without resetting/rebooting me. I used to have full consciousness during what would appear to be absence. I cannot retain the consciousness now when that starts to happen. It doesn't take as long as it seems like to me for one of these episodes but it really bugs me because it's always when I'm getting a lot done, and seem to me gaining momentum. Happens approximately two hours after the first time I woke up for the duration. So I do use music to try and pull myself back to that momentum and alertness, and the roll that I was on, because it's followed by "real" sleepiness. This is why now I have to allow six hours for myself to get ready to leave for something like Jury duty, or anything that I have to be on my game for all day. I used to only need thirty minutes. ...and would never not be conscious for even a second. I have an idea it has to do with a latency in acetylcholinesterase bridging some kind of gap between my points and plugs.

    No, it doesn't. Silence helps.

Depends on the person. When I try to study or work in silence, my brain goes squirrelly and I can’t focus. I have friends that are the exact opposite. It would be an interesting study to find out if that’s just conditioning or if there are neurological factors behind the preferences.

I like ambient noises(oscillating fan sounds, birds chirping etc) and light instrumentals, not complete silence neither loud noises
