- Prince Harry is getting candid about his life before and after his time as a royal. In a new detailed interview with Dax Shepard, the former royal is opening up again and dropping some major bombshells. The youngest son of Princess Diana revealed he considered walking away from royal life long before meeting his now wife, Meghan Markle. ”In my early 20s, it was a case of I don’t want this job. I don’t want to be here, I don’t want to be doing this, look what it did to my mum,” he said.

It's very disconcerting that he blames the media and the firm for all his problems and takes accountability for nothing. How did he know in his 20's that "it would happen again" when he met his wife? Did it happen again with William and Catherine? No. Why hasn't it? Did Harry ask himself that? Will he pull the race card? Did he know he would marry a biracial woman back in his 20's? Stop the self pity parade, Harry. Pull yourself together!!!!
Utter BS. All he had to do was to genuinely retire from public life. He had the money to buy a place and live a private life away from press, cameras and pressure. He could have chosen to train for anither career - heaven forbid, he could have used his expensive, taxpayer funded training as a helicopter pilot to wirk in search and rescue or air ambulance.

OK prince harry, if you really don’t want that life, then get rid of your titles and stop using your inherited privilege to make hundreds of millions of dollars getting on platforms that you never earned, while continually competing against your supposed beloved brother! How is he going to stop using his inherited privilege? He was born with it. He didn't ask for it. He is the son of Diana and Charles. If those titles, (Duke and Duchess) go away tomorrow, he will still be Prince Harry. That title can't be taken from him. Meghan will still be his wife. The planet knows who Meghan and Harry are. Having listened to this, I respect Harrys need to escape from a Royal life but still happy to cash in on Titles. This is not independence. Everyone in life goes through difficulties but we have to get on with our lives. The last 18 month have been very difficult as people have lost love ones to covid or lost their job etc.

Most people can understand the reasons why Harry didn't want a royal life. What we don't understand, or accept, is the arrogant way he went about it. Springing the exit plan on his family, with very little warning was wrong. Wanting to be half in, half out was also wrong. Trashing his entire family on Oprah was cruel and filled with lies, from his wife. Go Harry and live a private life. But don't whine, don't be a victim, don't set up publicity photos and articles, don't shamelessly compete with everything your family does, don't use your royal title to merchandize, don't confuse royalty with celebrity. Pay for your own security and expenses, stop the lies, stop making everything all about you and your wife.

Imagine your grandfather died a couple of weeks ago and you proclaim to the world what a crap parent he was and what crap parents your grieving father and you’re grieving grandmother were, when she has just lost that man after 70 years together. When she is still bravely carrying on her duties all alone.

My point is only that to tell the world what awful parents his grandparents and father were is an awful, spiteful thing to do at the best of times - to do it two weeks after the death of your grandfather is just terrible. When you listen to the podcast there is no whining or complaining. He doesn't attacke his family. He and the hosts are talking about how childhood trauma can manifest in adult life and how it's a good idea to try to heal the trauma so you don't pass it down to the next generation. In that Oprah interview, when asked by Oprah if he would have left the RF, I'm pretty certain he said No, he only left to save his wife. Then Harry's wife said no you saved us....something to that effect. So is he lying to Oprah or to the pod cast.

Harry was over indulged as a child. He was also over indulged later, because of his mother's death. Discipline and making him face consequences for his actions wouldn't have gone amiss. I actually think it's a really good thing that they left, given their behaviour. What people are annoyed about is that they lied about their intentions. They were given the option of leaving the BRF to pursue their own dreams before the wedding (without titles) or they could join the 'Firm' as working royals and receive the Duke/Duchess titles in recognition of the work they'd be doing. They declined to leave, had the huge wedding and took the titles - all on the understanding that they would be working royals, with all that entailed. We now find out that they were actually making deals before and shortly after the wedding, all the while planning on leaving with the titles. The nonsense that came out at the Oprah interview (most of which has been debunked), was simply to try to justify their underhand behaviour. As far as I'm concerned, that's slander and fraud (and possibly treason).

I’m confused with the statement “before and AFTER royal life.” Isn’t he still considered royal? He still carries the titles of Prince and Duke. His life is still very public with paparazzi and media still following him, his wife and child. The only thing that seems to have changed is location...from UK to US. His whole life, with all its “ups and downs,” is still in the limelight.
He is no longer a working royal. And he can now control his media access, unlike in the working royal family, the tabloids and msm have 24/7 access to them.

Sometimes you endure circumstances, if only yourself is involved but when it comes to your family, you are willing to do what ever is necessary for their sake. Harry, never had a problem with service [served in the military], what he did have a problem with was the hypocrisy of royal life; mainly what it did to his mother. They withdrew protection from her and encouraged the media attack on her while protecting his father and his mistress. He knows far more than he is able to say. He knows where the bodies are buried, as one would say. And some of you critics can not tie his shoes. So ignorant.
This will definitely encourage more people to stay strong and seek help to know that stress and mental health issues are a struggle even the rich and famous encounter. I believe being open will help save more lives from suicide. Well done Harry!

Doing public engagements is their job. They can never get a regular job like an average person....that will never happen. You are always going to hear from them until they decide otherwise.

I absolutely believe that Harry has legit beef with his family, coming from a cycle of abuse myself I know that need to cycle break so you don't pass trauma on. I believe Harry absolutely has the best of intentions.
But marrying Meghan Markle isn't cycle breaking, it's just the same he's been dealing with all along, in a different package with hollow promises. While she may do great charity work, etc., she has all the hallmarks of NPD, and Harry has all the signs of trauma bonding.
