Gorgeous planter recipes, Dawn! Your labelled collages are very helpful for personal screenshots when shopping the garden centers. Thank you for sharing your creative passion with us!

I subscribed instantly because, of how you got right to the flowers and recipes, you have a great tone and personality and your style if video was excellent. Great job. Glad to follow you. I'm central Illinois
Best descriptions and ideas! By showing the group of plants with the names was so helpful. I need to look up your zone. Don’t know what your weather is like. Thanks, Mary in NC
Thank you for the collage of plants recipes. Easily screenshot for reference. The planters are beautiful and you look amazing and happy doing what you’re doing 🌸🌿
Wow! Here in SC, Zone 8. Love how you get right to the point, sharing the beautiful talent God gave you! So glad you popped up this morning. I'm happy to be a new subscriber. I'll be "playing" in my yard today until the expected rain arrives. Have a blessed day!
Very beautiful color combinations! It's nice seeing different colors put together that aren't necessarily typically put together. I know I tend to fall into the same combos because they are my favorite, but it's good to step out of the usual here and there! Peachy Keen verbena is one of my favorites! I used it with evolvulus (cobalt blue) one year, it was a beautiful combo. Down the same vein as peach/purple, but a little different.
I love you and your content. Most inspiring and helpful video I’ve seen in a while. I was trying to find inspiration for my granddaughter’s new townhouse front stoop and you had it covered. Now I neehelp in how to transform tiny no grass back patio.❤
Creating containers is one of my favorite things to do in the garden. At one time, I even considered making it a business as you do. I'm curious if you handle the maintenance for your clients. Now in my mid 60s, that's no longer a dream of mine, but I did enjoy working for my BFF about 15 years ago when she had a shop. She gave me free reign to design containers. Thank you for many inspirational recipes. Now, garden centers, let's see some annuals! (I'm in Minneapolis.)
That’s so awesome! I only do them very part time. I gave up a bunch of clients a few years ago as it was getting to be too much. My mum got ill and between my real job, my mum and my own garden and pots it was too much. I kept my favorite clients and now really enjoy it much more. I do not maintain the containers and I do have 1 employee (my sister) which helps too! Thanks so much for being here!!
I am in awe on how you created beautiful inspiring containers. How could you not love them and feel so happy to see the color combination, in coordination of designs of the leaves. I love how you teach from picking the containers, recipes for the soil and putting the colors together. I can't wait to try my first one. I will definetly share this video. Mahalo again from Maui Hawaii!
OMG! I wish you were near me so that I can have you create something for me. Your art is so beautiful and amazing! Flowers make me so happy, I wish I was able to create like this
What amazing planters! Really appreciate the photos with labels for the plants you used in each one. VERY helpful and informative! I got some great ideas for planters than I need to fill. Thanks so much for the awesome video and information!

Hi Dawn, What a fantastic video you have absolutely outstanding talent in your chosen field. I can totally understand why everyone wants to have containers created by seasonal designs…………👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Love your work Dawn. Fiona and John 🎉❤💐🌷🪴
After watching this great video not only did I get excited about gardening this summer but I shared with many of my friends ,for it was so informative ,thank you ,you got a follower
Greetings from Ireland, Great Ideas, I have a small front garden with four flowerbeds, Fifty two pots of perennials and six pots of annuals on the windowsills. My wife has no interest in gardening and she tells me that it looks like a mini garden centre. This year I planted the six windowsill pots with African daisies that I grew from seed. These pots are not that big, but big enough for African daisies.
I'm looking for a garden recipe using the Sunpatien compact tropical rose and have only found two that use the caladium and sweet potato vine. The only difference between the two recipes is the type of sweet potato vine. What I'm looking for is a recipe that includes a taller with the sunpatien tropical rose. I really enjoy your videos and find so much inspiration and educational information.
I just love your plantings and your containers. Can you suggest places that I might purchase a pedestal container large enough to place in center of small garden?
Thank you!! Local garden centers can carry different large urns, but you could go online to unique stone and find retailers in your area. They have really big heavy urns or Campania also has really cool nice urns as vocal points. You would have to again look for a retailer near you.
What absolutely GORGEOUS containers. Such eye candy!!! Loved every one!! Will definitely follow you for inspiration. I would so love to have lots of containers , but have to limit just on our deck as we have deer that gobble everything. How do you keep deer from munching on all your beautiful plants. Your recipes, with pictures are very helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much. I use liquid fence, which is a liquid you mixup and spray on things you don’t want rabbit or deer to eat. If it rains, you need to reapply it and you do need to reapply it every 10 days or so regardless of rain. 😊
Thank you for sharing these beautiful combinations and recipes with us. My First time finding your Channel. I was wondering if you already have a video that talks about what kind of dirt you use and how often you fertilize. Thank you so much and God bless.
Thank you very much! My husband found those at a garden store and sent me pics with a message…hey what do you thinks of these? I’m like buy them! They are old Campania urns. Super heavy and oh so cool.
Thank you so much. I typically use pro mix mixed with fox farm. If I can only find one, I’ll just use one, but I really like the mix. All of this is for containers.
about caladiums: All caladiums love filtered sunlight and shade. Some newer selections and caladiums with narrower leaves can take more light, but it's best to limit direct sun exposure to the morning hours. The colorful foliage can fade in bright sunlight
cute container....I love the purple and green sweet potato vines with purple gomphrena its gorgeous together. do you bleach your hair blonde because its really gray??? just curious..do you not have a fence to protect you from the woods in your backyard??
We have 12 acres and no fence needed. No one really has fences around their properties here. My hair is going white so I have low lights added. Born a redhead, turned light blonde, now going white which is a very cool color I’m not fond of lol
Hi, I haven't ever seen Beth's Blue Isotoma but it's beautiful. I am figuring you don't live in the southern part of the USA? I do containers every year (lots of them) on my concrete pool deck, but the back yard faces east and has trees all around so it's full sun maybe 4-6 hours with no a late afternoon sun. I use alot of salvias for the tall plants like Wendy's Wish, Black and Bloom and Unplugged Pink (what I am trying alot this year). Does the Beth's Blue bloom in heat and humidity? I also windered if the planter you have in front of the store was only getting half day sun? Thanks.
I have such a hard time finding the right combination for my large pots near my front steps. It faces west so has shade unil early afternoon and then hot late afternoon sun. The shade plants fry in the afternoon and more sun loving plants never get very full due to so much shade during the day 🤔
Look for part sun plants. Those large green planters in the beginning of my video are against my house and also face West Southwest. So they get morning shade and then the same hot afternoon sun like literally until the sun goes down. I find that part sun to full sun plants do Best and I keep them well hydrated.
Yes I do! Sadly I have NO videos or photos of them. You don’t realize it until you are putting together a video of planters. I have a very large bird of paradise which I hope to make part of a container cluster this year.
Both the caladium and elephant ears tend to not like direct sun also the shallowness of the planter may have not let deep growth - could that be why they didn’t grow to their full height?
I agree on the not enough room for the roots of the elephant ears but both plants like sun and these planters received 1/2 day of morning sun only. The caladium was a new proven winners variety that supposedly liked sun!!
Not at this time but I’m working on that. I don’t do as many shade containers because my home is in full sun and most of my clients have full sun. But I’m working on one. Stay tuned.

I use a good potting mix with food and after about 3 weeks from planting use Jacks Blossom boost every 2-3 weeks or so. 😊
👏🏻 Bravo
😊
Excuse me, what type of salvia it is?
The salvia and nepeta rebloom all summer?
The container ideas are beautiful.
Thank you!
Salvia Wesuwe and Cats Pajamas Nepita. If you deadhead after the first bloom they all rebloom again.

Beth’s Blue did not like the heat no. I live in Wisconsin zone 5. The container in front of the store get about 5 hours of sun.

@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn if possible share how you keep them out. Thank you
I use A repellent called Liquid Fence. Spray on your plants. If it rains be sure to spray again.
For your containers with the mandevilla vine what were the diameter of the pots?
20 inches at the very top
